The staff was very helpful I was there for surgery and they had no problem moving me to a smoking room, so I didn't have to keep getting up to go outside. They also took money off the amount of my room, as I was having surgery. The bed was not comfortable at all.

Very friendly staff at front desk. We stayed there Friday August 3, 2012 and the guy on the front desk that evening (don't remember his name) was wonderful, helpful and very friendly. Would definitly stay there again. Good value for the money. A little older looking and smelled a little stale and no pool, which our kids would have liked.

Convenient location not too far from Trans-Canada Highway. Restaurant on site where we had breakfast but not dinner. Walking distance to banks, restaurants, gas stations, other shopping facilities. Short drive to downtown historic district (we took a cab there and back - had enough driving!) A little dated, but very clean and comfortable - good place for our overnight stop en route to North Sydney, NS and ferry to Newfoundland. Value for money, and stayed there again on our way home from Newfoundland. We had non-smoking rooms both stays but the ones on the way home had slightly smoky smell. Would not put us off staying there again.

Its location allows pedestrians to shop, dine, etc. The motel lacks an elevator, and the steepness of the staircase makes toting heavy bags extremely difficult.

Free parking. Easy to find. Access to highway. Price (especially if you have 4 guests). Could hear noise from other rooms and hallway. Not near downtown.

Noisy air conditioner, bathroom light burnt out and could not be replaced...no effort to compensate. Restaurant new and has a large menu but food bland.
