Hmm, it was within walking distance to the beach and it had space
- unprofessional staff (guy was shirtless and looked stoned) - Rooms were gross, stained walls, linens, rusty sink and tubs, spider webs, not clean, falling apart and slapped together "kitchen" and cupboards and bed frames, the bed was literally sitting on some 2X4's tacked together, the lightbulb burst and fell out when my son turned the switch on, the sheets were ripped and worn, beer caps in the sofa bed, no bedding for sofa bed, balcony was covered in water and filthy, it turned into beer pong, bong party central at 10pm and continued to get louder as the night went on, in the am it was a disaster, food, dirty dishes, beer bottles etc, pool area was unkept and pool was not warm, broken chairs, beer caps and garbage everywhere The most disgusting place I have ever been to
Everything! It used to be a very well kept place. Now it is totally run down. It would only appeal to drunken teens / young adults looking for a place to crash or get lucky after hitting the beach bars.
We had the cleanest BBQ, maintenance man came to our need. Brought us clean linens first day we were there ( bed was covered in dry blood, bedding wasnt changed from previous guests) brought a plug for bath tub fixed couch and bed frame. He was very helpful!!!
Everything else!! We got there and cleaned the room ourselve. We swept cleaned untensils and the rest of the kitchen. The fact we had a disgusting dirty room with a 3 month old child. Blood on my blankets and sheets. A pile of bugs on the floor in my room. I put my car seat on the couch and the leg broke of the couch where my baby was. Thankfully we were there to catch him. And there was no door on the 2nd bedroom. And the toilet was broken. We had to take the top of the tank off to push the plug down so it could refill for the next person to flush. The bath tub was gross!! It looked like it hasnt been cleaned for months...again I had a 3 month old infant to bath. Definitely wasnt clean enough for adults to stay let alone a child!! So glad we never got bug bites or illnesses from staying there. And if you would like to see what the room actually looked like verses the photos they had on the site, I cam proved them for you!
Comfy, good location, very nice staff, love the pool, great bonfire (helped us make the bonfire), let us play music, parking included, and etc.
Location, staff, room is large enough, comfortable
need more maintenance
Location and when I checked out
The manager was incredibly nice. Even though there was tons of partying on the motel grounds, the staff was pretty good at throwing away all the empties... Other than that, the party scene gave my husband and I a good laugh.
The motel doubles as a 'nightclub'. You need a wristband to enter the yard to get to your room. In the yard there is a pool, dance cages, beer tables, a foam tent and fire pits. They have a party truck come in and blast music until 3am. We had a front bedroom and a back bedroom and we tried sleeping in both, but there was loud partying on both sides of the building. We made the mistake of travelling during Civic weekend so everything was completely book, raising the price of the stay at Dyconia. Our motel room floors were sticky, and the linen wasn't very clean. There may have been decent tvs here at one point - there was a tv cable hanging out of the wall. It's a great spot for people that like to get wasted and party. Sketchy.
Suite was spacious. Location nice. Hosts had a warmth about them.
Dirty beds. Dirty bedding. Dirty floors. Dirty sinks. Dirty shower. Dirty toilet. No garbage cans, night tables, lamps, curtains, blow dryer ( as advertised), sparsely furnished. Dangerous electrical work and improper use of extension cords. A/C isTowels looked like old beach towels prior guests might have left behind. Loud music until 2 am even on a Sunday night and we specifically asked and was never told about this and we were placed right in front of the outdoor DJ. Do not book this place unless all you want to do is party. It is NOT family friendly and hasn't been updated in easily 30 years....if anything, sporadic patch up jobs....nothing more!! Gross!!!! This pace should be condemned!!
There was supposed be a night club a restaurant and a sports bar and there wasn't the pool was freezing and it was supposed to be heated. Major false advertising I would never recommend it
Location was good
All rooms were dirty and filthy Balcony was very dirty with stagnant water with cigarette buts and cracked loose floor tiles Linens very dirty
Not clean and don't like to pay 50$ more than other for 3 nights at same time!
very good location, a short walk to the beach, and a short drive to the main strip.good value for the price.
rooms need some upgrading.
I liked the location......and the Staff very helpful and welcoming......
did not like the rooms not maintained.......washroom falling apart...
A hotel for me is a place to rest my head down. There were plenty of towels, the location was convenient to everything. There is also a great breakfast place up the road a ways. For the price you get what you pay for and more...
I liked everything
Sink and tub need replace
Close to the beach but more for the younger crowd nite club on site lots of young people 20 and under not a family friendly place
Close to the beach and the river
They could have had te grounds taken care of a bit more fresh paint on some of the run down cottages and just general landscaping would make this place ten times better have a great location but looks like they have given up on the place to bad good little spot in wasaga
