Pleasant, helpful, welcoming staff and the lovely grounds
Staff was very friendly. The building and room was outdated. A fresh coat of paint and updated fixtures would make this a go to destination.
The location of this beautiful property is fabulous. If your stay is during the week, go for it. The weekend, take your chances!
We had a fairly long booking for 5 nights. Weekdays were peaceful and quiet. However, our stay overlapped with a wedding that was booked for a Friday night. Although the management knew that we were staying in a room right above the wedding reception and directly over the DJ and his amplifier equipment, they made no effort to contact us to make alternate arrangements for our comfort. On our insistence we were given another room to sleep in at about 11 pm, but we were still kept awake by party guests until 2:20 am.
Nice property on the outside.
Room very small, musty smell. A/C was not cooling well. Bed creaked every time you move. Breakfast was at 8am, to late for us since we had to get to appointments. Lunch and dinners are reserved for the events booked at the Inn and not for the solo guest.
Extremely quit place with a very good restaurant

The staff was very caring and attentive to our needs. Norman saw that the room we had booked was their smallest room for a 4 night stay and we worked his magic to get us a larger, more comfortable room for a reduced rate.
It would be more like what did we miss and my husband wished for a hot tub/and or warm pool. We are both tall people so the king bed was 2 inches shorter than we are used to.
Our room was VERY tiny. I am a tall person and having the slanted ceiling by the bed was a bit dangerous.
I loved the spa!!
Slowness in getting into restaurant for supper and slowness in getting breakfast. That being said however the food was delicious.
Everything went well and the staff were quite accommodating. The back outdoor patio overlooking the ravine was great.
We were in Room 309. It seems the bathroom of the room next door was right beside our wall and the noise was way too loud--midnight and later.
Immediately felt at home. Very cozy. Terrific staff.
Ambiance Charm Priced accordingly for what we rec'd
few spider webs in the washroom but hey that happens the mattress was caving in and hubby had trouble not falling out....we got cozy. :)
The room was nice, it was quaint and comfortable. However the room was very hot. We stayed there in April 2014, it was not hot outside!
Beds creaked, air conditioner did not work, floor creaked when people walked in the room upstairs, walls were so thin I could hear our neighbour snoring all night long!!!!!
Excellent hospitality by all the staff and it was really a Home away from your Home stay for 16days for me.
Great atmosphere. Very nice staff. Cozy rooms. Great location.
Floors in room are so old that they make tremendous noise when you walk. The building was built in the 20s so it can't be perfect but the floors need major renovations. The windows, bathroom have been renovated which is great. I just hope floors are next... Still my favourite place in Mississauga.
Shower either cold water or scalding
Breakfast deal was very good. The spa is wonderful.
Being in a separate building ie the carriage house.
beautiful room with a great view!!
Breakfast buffet was pretty pedestrian and not tasty. Coffee was awful
Beautiful setting with the bonus of being convenient to so much. Delightful, quaint old time feel. The staff are excellent.
This was an amazing place. The inn has been nicely presented and beautifully furnished. And yet, it maintains a rustic feel to it. So, there are parts that are not 'as modern'. I suspect this has more to do with the age of the building than anything. We did not us ethe spa services, but just totally enjoyed our room. Quiet, large, just perfect. The location was excellent - near enough to shoppng, yet far enough to feel like it was a bit of an oasis. We were welcomed openly and warmly and generally felt like we could do what we wanted. Staff were friendly, polite, willing to serve, etc.
My points here are not really about 'not liking' as much as they are gentle recommendations: 1. The room in which we stayed had a shower which blasted cold water a few times. I quickly turned warm again. We chose not to raise this because we figured it was something about the age of the building. 2. At the breakfast, we were a little unsure of how to proceed as we were told to find a table, but they all had used dishes from previous people. Also, the tea and coffee were in a separate area from the other parts of the breakfast - so we would recommend a little more direction/guidance/clarity. 3. Room cleaning took place at 3 (which we declined)...a tad earlier would have been good. These are not 'dislikes' but rather, they are recommendations. We would most definetly come again and check out other rooms, just for the experience.
The suite was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We had very much enjoyed our stay there. The staff were professional, polite and attentive to our needs. Their evening dining experience was great and very good value.
I wasn't aware of how popular their dining experience is so I recommend to make your dining reservations in advance. The dining area was quite cold, considering it was freezing outside during our stay.
I booked through booking.com but when we got there to check in they no knowledge of my reservation. We were traveling from out of town and we were fortunate they had a room available or we would have been out of luck.
I felt that the staff was helpful and friendly. The design of the inn was beautifully crafted and maintained. Quite an enjoyable stay.
The staff were great always willing to make sure my stay was the best
