The food at their restaurant was very good. Great sweet potato fries!
location, surrounding, scenery
WIFI is slow and no picture and video
Proximity to Lake Louise
VERY small room
we have group of families, there is lounge for friends gathering which is very useful. Beautiful surrounding.
noising, since it is near highway
Ask for a room with a view.
I only stayed one night at this lodge, the room was clean and basic, and small too; but the lodge had a comfortable interior and one side face the beautiful lake. They also provided continental breakfast, I could enjoy both the food and the beautiful lake view through the big window. Will choose this one again if I travel around Lake Louise .
Smaller room, lake side room will be noisy for facing highway 1.
Traffic and train noise.
Free continental breakfast, wood floor. There is a gas station on site and we did not have to go back to Lake Louise to get gas for our next day trip to Jasper. Close to Takakaw Falls, Spiral Tunnel and Emerald Lake.
No fridge, no ice bucket, no hairdryer, room is small
2bunk beds that sleeps 4 people. If u dont mind having mix male n female roommate. This is will be ok with u . Price is good . Accomodation in this area is expensive . This room has ur own BR/shower. They provide towels .No hair dryer.
Free breakfast . Bread ,cereal ,coffee .no meat.
The hostel had all the basic facilities we needed, was clean, a good price and breakfast was included which was good.
Although close to lake Louise the location really let it down we had to drive a long way to get to most if the attractions we wanted.
the friendly staff, clean room and breakfast.
no dinner served after 10 p.m.
Location, free breakfast, comfortable bed
No check-in before 4pm.
Location, staff was nice
Couldn't see tv from my bed. Needed lighting beside bed. Need better breakfast selection. Was way too expensive for the room.
- Very clean - good service -on-site restaurant has good food. - the restaurant patio view is excellent
- the locks on the suite doors where not adequate. They are the type that can basically be opened with a bobby pin. - there was no coffee maker and coffee/tea supplies in the room - there is no elevator which makes it difficult for those lugging large/heavy suitcases
No packed lunches as only kitchen staff available for evening meal limited menu
Staff at front desk very helpful. Breakfast acceptable; fireplace room offered a different ambience; location and rate a good buy, but not if one cannot sleep at night due to road and train noise. Shame the lake was not more of an asset to this property as the lake has no walking path but is surrounded on one side by the highway and on the other by train tracks. Bathroom was renovated. Bed comfortable.
Train, truck and car road noise in hotel rooms that fronted the highway generated so much road noise that I could not sleep. I had to find ear plugs to sleep on night 2. The need better windows on highway rooms. Also our room was always warm, but since is was cold on my two nights even in July 2014, it was not a problem. Yet the following week temperatures were to be in the mid 80s F so this ambient room heat would have forced one to open the sliding glass door and let in even more intrusive road and train noise. After all, one purchases a hotel room to sleep and sleep was difficult.

It is about 12 km from the village and right on the road side
We ate at the restaurant and the food we ordered was delicious. However, our first choices were out. Even both drinks that my husband and I ordered had to be changed because they were out. Service was fine, but very casual.
Not very clean and the room we were in was very structurely dated. No air, so the room was pretty hot and the overnight noise of traffic made sleeping a bit less then ideal.
food, cleanliness, wi-fi, staff was helpful
close proximity to highway
Just about everything. Run down place in need of major renovation.
Nice room, friendly staff, restaurant still OK even some of the entrees were not available, food tasted good e.g. spinach cannelonies
Don't choose "lake/mountain" rooms, as then you are encountering massive traffic on T-C Hwy night and day during season
Too far from Banff and Lake Louise
Kindness of the staff
Location near the highway and the railway. Very noisy the whole night
When we needed to change plans and leave early for home, the desk staff were very helpful in loaning us the phone to make plans and contacts elsewhere...albeit partly because the internet connection was down on both lobby computers.
The room was spacious. We had a back room but the view of the forest and chalets was almost as stunning as the front view of the lake itself. Comfortable room but lack of facilities meant it was lovely but not recommended for a long break. One night did us fine
The staff were very pleasant but we did have difficulty in determining who was staff and who was guest at breakfast as no uniforms or identification badges. A man looking like a lumberjack came from the kitchen with items. All guests were continually asking for refurbishments of food as there was not suffice put out for the demand.
