Score from 388 reviews Very good
Comfort and convenience.
Staff was good, and food better than we expected. There was a hotel computer to be used by the guests free of charge, which more than compensates the lack of wi-fi
The hotel is old, has no lift and the stairs are quite steep - bad for guests over 60. Our room was a so-called suite, with living room and bath at one level and bed upstairs ( with a staircase even steeper than the other one). The road was undergoing repairs, which noise from 7AM to 6PM, and traffic blocked ( inclusive to leave the hotel) several times during the day
located between field and lake louise, can get to the lake in 30 mins.
Lack of almost everything, eg: elevator, hair dryer, coffee maker. need to carry luggages upstair. need to get hot water downstair from the coffee machine. The room (number 21) can hear an engine/generator's low frequency noise throught out the whole night. It is very annoying when the engine keeps restarting every 20 mins and the lights in the room will dim. Breakfast is very limited as well. Wifi coverage is very bad. Need to use it close to the room's door.
Just expect the basics at this 2 bed room lodge about 10 minutes from Lake Louise. Better than staying in more isolated Field, BC.
3 Asian girls knocking on every outdoor door looking for their boyfriends's upper room at 3 a.m.
The hotel was one of the cleanest I've stayed in anywhere. I liked the idea of hardwood floors rather than carpets for cleanliness. The view was spectacular.
The rooms didn't have hairdryers, irons, fridges, coffe makers, etc., which are usually included. We should have been warned to bring our own. The mirror in our bathroom was quite damaged and should have been replaced. The bathtub had a big chip and was a very dated colour (gold). The highway traffic noise past the front of the hotel and plus the train passing closeby, meant a distrupted sleep.
Just a very satisfactory overnight. A surprise was the complimentary breakfast which was not advertised.
No complaints at all, except the cancelation policy was a bit restrictive, requiring 48 hours advance notice which we might have done considering the deteriorating weather conditions.
Fastastic view from the room. Good food at modest prices Helpful and friendly staff. Douldle glazing was very effective in eliminated the noise from highway and railway. A brilliant location for exploring Yoho
Location was excellent, with mountain and lake view. Dinner and breakfast was good. Friendly staff.
Building could need a renewing, slow Wi-Fi.
Facilities need upgrading
Friendly, clean, affordable accomadation. I would stay again.
loccation in front a lake.
low level hotel for those thst must syop there.
Nice scenic location within a few minutes from Lake Louise. Good breakfast (free) and evening meal. Close to Yoho National Park. We drove 1o minutes to see the large waterfall, up a mountain road. WOW.
We liked everything. No problems or concerns at all.
Room was large and clean view was awesome. We travelled with our dog and the staff were very happy to have him.
Tub was old and chiped. Shower iffy and toilet flushing scared... Took 2 or 3 flushes to clear. Has problems since very large plunger in room :)
Very adequate room, very welcome on a rainy day. Fire was built for us in the large lounge, where many settled for the evening.
complimentary breakfast was a little meager in its choices. Staff didn't seem very well informed on nearby sites in Yoho park.
Great staff - lovely views
We were in the annexe with an uninterrupted view of the lake - AND the noise from Highway #1 and the trains. Didn't sleep a wink. You couldn't hear either from the dining room [must have had better double-glazing) ALSO got drenched and muddy walking across for meals - a covered walkway would get rounf this problem
We had really great time at this hotel! Clean, comfortable and cheap. I'd recommend this hotel for sure! :)
Friendly and efficient front desk service, proactively ensuring reservation details and rates were correct. The Lodge was well located for us as we were approaching Lake Louise from the north and wanted a good value family option.
Some traffic noise from the Trans Canadian and generator noise can be heard, but was not major for us in a room to the rear of the property. No dining options nearby, but the on-site bistro provided adequate meals for an overnight stay.
Staff were friendly especial the bar man. Room was clean and the beds were good and comfortable. The food was good in the restaurant and the service was good. Fairly close to Lake Louise
We had a back room and could still here the road noise a bit. Plus walls are thin and you could here people in the next room
The staff, food and facilities were good with easy access and lovely views from the restaurant.
Noise from adjoining rooms caused floorboards to creak throughout the night as people moved about and/or beds creaked on the floors. Tea and coffee making facilities in rooms would be helpful to save walking downstairs last thing at night or early morning
Scenic location by lake
No fridge, microwave or coffee making facilities in room. Breakfast OK but basic.
We loved the view and the nice relaxed atmosphere. Excellent!
Staff very friendly.
Needs complete overhaul. Dingy room, black mould around bath. Card table to work on. Poor lighting, no lift (wife disabled) just a rail for clothes. Value for money not a chance.
What a great place! Everyone was super friendly and it was very clean and great value!! I'd definitely stay again!!
Some modern motels lack this charm. Good location and view of lake with helpful and friendly staff.
Highway noise (with construction works at present) and railroad at front of hotel. Railroad can also be heard from rear rooms.
No ice bucket, no hair dryer
