Floor plan poor no counter space in kitchen. Would have preferred open concept
Nice space. Kids loved having the loft to themselves. Nice dining area, nice living room, good beds.
A lot of steps. We had 3 floors.
Good location slightly out of town Confortable rooms Welcoming staff Quiet Full kitchen facilities
Room a bit dark Cars parked in front of room window
had to carry luggage upstairs room not close to lobby or hot tub mineral pool small
If the bathtub would install a handle which would be more secure
Good size room for a 4 night stay. Although some distance from downtown, free bus passes were provided, every 40 minutes outside the resort. Small shopping plaza within 15 minute walk.
Guest on the top floor making excessive noise!
Overall the hotel was lovely, clean friendly and staff where always happy to help. We stayed in a lower room with one room and a sofa bed was more than enough room for my family of 4 for the 2 days we stayed. The sofa bed wasn't very comfortable but was a sofa bed. The pool was heated well, the kids loved it. We actually got married in banff and the hotel congratulated us with a card and bottle of wine. The wifi signal was rubbish, but we was there to relax and spend time with family so didn't really use it.
The only problem with the hotel was the noise from upstairs at 5am but that wasn't the hotels fault!!
Parking was difficult
room was a semi basement room. only had a small bedroom window and a sliding glass door. Smelled of mold and wet dogs.
Have been going to Hidden Ridge for the last 6 years and it keeps getting better. Every year the staff go out of their way to help you. The rooms are clean, location is just outsite the downtown area but just a short walk. Convenience store down the street. The lobby has tea, coffee, hot chocolate and movie rentals(free) For the kids, ask for a freezie! Downstairs in the lobby is laundry facilities and an ice machine. They are more than happy to let you fill your cooler with ice. You can also buy s'mores and a Keg dinner. Lots of BBQ's on site. Book early, rooms go fast.
Nice quiet location compared to the bustle of the rest of Banff
The surroundings were nice. Close to Banff but not right in Banff
It definitely could use some TLC and a good cleaning
Close to town
Old buildings need updated !
We were 2 families with children aged from 7-11 yrs old vacationing from Dubai. The kids loved the free hot chocolate and freezies every day in the lobby as well as the huge selection of DVD's to borrow. Housekeeping were excellent keeping us well stocked up on coffee, shampoo's etc. We really loved the location. Just minutes from the town but quiet enough to feel like you might be in the woods camping. Next time we are back we'll definitely be staying at Hidden Ridge again.
We were on the ground floor and the apartment above us had some fairly loud people walking/stomping around. Whether that was due to the construction or they were just exceptionally loud people is unknown. This was the only complaint both families had, that the ground floor apartments have to suffer with the noise from the upper apartment.
It kinda dusty! And it doesnt smells good! The apartment
1. Both DVD's players were not working. we had to call for them to be setup correctly with the TV's 2. very few soaps and shower in the washrooms. For CAD 600.00 per night we expected value for money, definitely short changed. I have stayed in a room worth less than CAD 200.00 per night with better facilities, cleanliness and comfort.
The view from the hot tub area.
We were on a lower room sitting out front all I saw was the fron of a car. I took the broom and swept of the front pation area. The bed was one of those where you needed to hang on the edge of roll into the crevass. Dirty ceiling in bathroom, missing some wood trim, dirty, ditrty carpeting, hole in lamp shade.
Hot tub overlooking mountain Good size bedrooms with comfortable beds Upgraded to a bigger loft! Fireplace for wood for those chilly nights BBQ The staff were great complimentary tea/hot chocolate/DVDs/bus shuttles etc
Not enough cupboard or counter space in kitchen Crowded parking but there was underground available which always had free spots Main bathroom needed refurbishing
Not a lot .
Basement room was very noisy. WiFi did not work. Not clean- hairs in bathroom. No restaurant or shop. Location too far from town .
Away from it all location, yet within an easy drive of Banff. Great views from the reception area. Helpful staff. Apartment features and facilities, which included a well fitted kitchen area if you intended to eat in.
Ground floor apartment lounge too dark inside for our liking, but hey we were only there 2 nights.
Wifi was down during the stay.
Nice room/ suite Nice staff Nice view
Beautiful outdoor areas, large living space for group of friends. Very helpful office, and quick response to need for washcloths.
It was mid July and in mid 80s during day. No A/C in this complex. It cooled during nights with windows open and oscillating fans bringing in air. We knew this probably would be a problem if temps elevated when booked. 3 level unit, 2 flights steep stairs. Parking was limited, but for 3 nights, always found a spot close by. Wi-Fi not working while we were there, but sign in lobby indicated under system change-over. Refrigerator had no racks, but made do.
The jacuzzi room was great! We asked for a transfer as we didn't like our standard room. Glad we moved. Excellent views, quiet room, private jacuzzi, comfortable bed.
We initially booked a standard room on the lower floor but asked to transfer. It is sub ground level so the bedroom window is up high and all you can see is feet walking by. The wood fire means that the room and bed linen etc all smell like smoke. Wouldn't recommend a standard room- feels like a dingey basement.
I liked the idea of cooking our meals in our hotel instead of going out.loved it. Would love to go back there.
The window on top of the veranda door. It was too bright for my kids to sleep.
