The breakfast buffet was pricey (most of them are) and not great. To be fair, though, we'd arrived as they were closing. They were very kind and cooked up some eggs for us because there were no more at the buffet. The buffet was probably more appealing before closing time! We chose an "off-campus" breakfast place the next day.
There is a lot of construction going on in Halifax, so we had a view from our window not only of the harbor, but of the construction site next door, complete with a gigantic crane. We actually had no problem with this at all, but I include it here in case a traveler would like to avoid that. I'm sure all you have to do is ask!
The beds were sooooo comfortable! The mattress, pillows and linens were wonderful! The room was very clean, including the furniture and floors, the fittings and fixtures beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially in helping us find our way around. They seemed genuinely interested in our enjoyment of the city.
The proximity to everything we wanted to see and do was perfect, and we didn't need our truck until the morning we left.
