I honestly can't think of anything I didn't like about the hotel. It's a bit dated, but not shabby by any means. It's very clean and kempt. There was a flat screen tv and a small table and chairs on the balcony, everyone on the second and third floor gets a balcony. You get soap, but other amenities don't come in the room, such as: shampoo, toothpaste, hair dryer, coffee maker, etc. You need only ask the front desk and they are happy to supply you with the item.
The Inn at Lock 7, is the coolest place to stay! I've never been a big vessel fan, but it really is so much fun watching the cargo ships pull in and out of the lock. It's fun to watch the water drain and fill, and wave to the crew on the ships and on the other side of the lock. I've never had so much fun going back to my hotel room! The beds are firm, but comfortable. I like a firm bed, so I may be bias about that.
