This hotel is adjacent to BC Place Stadium and Rogers Arena. An on-site laundromat is featured. A refrigerator is included in all rooms. Stadium-Chinatown Skytrain station is 330 yards away.
Score from 286 reviews Very good
I liked neighborhood in which the hotel was located: clean, busy, close to major buses, near charming Gas Town.
For $80/night I thought the room would be bigger. It was a very small room, with one outlet, and a sink two feet from the bed. The single sink in the room made the room smell a little musky. Plus the cleaning staff took the day off Sunday, so we had to replenish our own towels/soap, make the bed, etc... The "included breakfast" was toast or bagels with an orange. This is definitely more of a hostel than B&B.
The bar and grill at the Kingston good, it was very convenient. The rooms were clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Kingston's location downtown is great for being close to skytrain and sporting events.
The room was small, which was a big surprise to me. There was no tv in the room, but there was one down stairs by the lobby.
location location location quiet sauna washer, drier
blankets on bed need updating
Not fancy, but very clean and quaint. Not all rooms have ensuite bathrooms so be sure yours does if that's important to you. Ours did and had everything we needed. Location couldn't be better and restaurant (next door) is fantastic too. Vancouver hotels are expensive and although you can find others slightly less expensive, the locations can be gritty. Don't think you can beat the location and value for money!
Breakfast was included but only consisted of bagel or toast and tea/coffee. A nice offering but not truly breakfast.
This hotel is a tremendous value. The location is perfect, the staff is excellent, and though small the rooms are clean and nice. The rest of the hotel, including the shared bathrooms were clean and nice and well maintained. Breakfast consists of a bagel or toast, with coffee, juice, and orange slices.
the staff were friendly......
facilities were outdated, need to improve most of their facilities.
My new jacket was missing, A lot of noise because of construction, Too small bed
The lighting was insufficient, as there was no way to read on my side of the bed, only the other side. But I asked staff for an extra pole lamp, and they obliged. We also asked for an extra luggage rack, as there was no table for the two of us to be able to open our suitcases, and we had stuff on the bed. The staff again obliged. They are wonderful. We also appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the all the desk clerks and the ladies who served in the breakfast area.
The room was small.
Kingston Taphouse & Grill (next door) has good food, great beer list, reasonable prices, & good service.
nice breakfast ,quite room.
I stayed at the Kingston Hotel Bed and Breakfast for 2 Nights. The room and the whole hotel was very clean. There were enough restrooms on the floor and I could use the sauna in the first floor. The location is very central and the stuff is very kind.
It is a bed and breakfast hotel, but the included breakfast was a pretty simple breakfast consisting of 1 bagel ( or toast) with butter and jam and coffee.
2 blocks from SkyTrain which was also direct line to the airport
Room was visibly clean and comfortable however had smell of a teenage boys bedroom/unclean clothes
The price and the location were excellent. Brilliant value for money. We were there on a weekend so noise from construction not an issue.
Couldn't find anything wrong.
A comfortable room, with great staff for information, and a 15% discount at the Bistro next door. The hotel guest laundry is a asset.
The shared ablutions might bother some people, but didn't worry me. Likewise the breakfast is minimal but is included, unlike other hotels in which I've stayed in Vancouver.
staff good sized bed clean robes and slippers to use nice table and chair elevators wifi in room and computer to print boarding pass on 1st floor location
no tv in the bedrooms or radio/clock breakfast too small-only one fruit, coffee, tea or orange juice and either toast or one of two types of bagels. maybe milk and cereal and more fruit choices?
Location resturant grill bar next door easy walking
location - décor. The whole place was very clean. Cute breakfast area.
no TV - no private bathroom would not give me senior discount
Little details such as the dressing-gown and the slippers! Nice breakfast. And cleanliness.
The noise from the construction around and the noise from the neighbors. Scream of children...
Bathroom There has only one bathroom(shower inside) per one floor
We stayed here for 3 nights when we first arrived in Canada. We have come over on a working holiday visa so had lots to organise in the first few days and the hotel was perfectly located for what we needed to do. The room was small but clean, aswell as the shared bathroom. The robes and slippers provided were good too, when using the facilities. Breakfast was less continental just coffee and a bagel but was nice enough. All in all quite a positive stay.
At the time we stayed major building works were happening next door so it was rather noisy early in the morning. The street was closed the night we arrived too so had a go down a back ally and though the rear entrance of the bar next door. Obviously not the hotels fault but if you were looking for a relaxing location this may not be ideally suited right now, while the works are happening.
Location was good, breakfast option was nice- but dont get too excited it is just a beagle and juice/ coffee.
I was fully prepared to be sharing bathroom facilities- but there weren't very many on the corridor. So queuing or hunting round for a loo wasn't great at times. The bed is small for 2 people really- but it was advertised as 3/4 but it did feel particularly small.
nice and helpfull staff, really close to the shops and nightlife
It's good in each aspect. Good location, good staff. But the bar in the next door is a little expensive.
the place was quiet. clean andthe location was very good.
a very bad smell of vomit. They had to chage my room. the smell was less strong but present all the same.
