Score from 1011 reviews Very good
excellent location, superb links to seabus and North Vancouver bus station
The location was central to public transit
They increased the price when checking in. Service was bismol or non-existence. Little roach creatures in the bathroom. Staff were unfriendly. No extra pillows. And excessive noise from the rooftop at early hours in the morning e.g. 6 am.
Great location at Lonsdale Quay by Seabus terminal - quick access to downtown Vancouver without the downtown prices.
Let me start by saying I was very impressed by the staff. I have to apologize for not remembering their names. I was glad I stayed there than the pinnacle which I had almost chosen. I have stayed at the Pinnacle before. For the money I must admit I prefer your room over them. I will return because of it and the staff. Thank you. Sincerely Mark
I was there for 1 night and needed a quiet place to stay and close to where I needed to be the next day. For that it worked out well. The room was clean and the bathroom was quite large. The front desk employees both when I checked in and out were pleasant, professional and helpful.
The heating system in the room was difficult and it looked outdated. It seems it could only work with the fan being on and I have issue with sleeping with the fan as the room gets too dry and I wake up coughing. I think their heating system should be updated and newer. Other then that, the room was average. A bit too expensive I think for the quality of what you get. Either they lower the price a bit or step up with higher quality room decor and heating/cooling system especially.
The decor of the room was simple but modern. The size of the room and the set out of the furniture was pleasing. Enjoyed our view of the water.
The coffee maker was defective. We didn't manage to make a hot drink.
The location is good for our business purposes. And the market downstairs is convenient.
the hotel asks for a huge damage deposit on your credit card - makes you think they routinely get 'thugs' at their hotel who damage the place
Location and quiet. Large rooms, comfy beds.
Most rooms are tired and less than perfectly clean and functional. Others are redone and very nice. You may find a bottled water tower in your premium room but odds are it will have no water. You may find broken shower curtain rings and curtain rods and shower curtains that should have been replaced a year ago. You may also find the worst toilet paper in Vancouver.
Location, size of rooms, staff good.
Walls paper thin, noisy at night. Room had a funny odour. Both husband and I congested all night. Fine when we left,no more congestion. Stepped on a sharp tiny piece of plastic on floor in room
someone scraped my car in underground parking lot . not happy about that
Shopping, Farmer's Market, good restaurants right in the Market and very nearby, and the ferry into the city is right there so you don't have to take a car. N Vancouver is a little more peaceful than the city. The balconies look right over the shipyards and the doors open to the fresh air.
You do have to have a car to get over there. The hotel rooms are a bit old but clean.
Location was paramount for us. A relaxed but vibrant part of North Vancouver but also near the ferry straight to downtown Vancouver. This coupled with links to the airport made this an ideal place to stay.
I was not happy with the deposit requirement of $250.00 Do you really have that type of clientele?
most everything else
Great coffee pods in room. Restaurant staff at breakfast were excellent. Fantastic water view with balcony, fresh air from outside. Comfortable beds. Shampoo, rinse, cream was excellent. Nice having a fridge and microwave.
Television was non HD. Not enough pillows on bed. Expected free parking with room charge. Soaps for bath and sink are very small.
New renovated rooms are very nice. Quiet location .
Great location and good value.
We love the view. The market is amazing.
But the noise is awful. Our first night we may As well have slept on the floor the bed was terrible. At 6am we complained and got switched out to another room, but the new room had endless noise that kept us awake most the second night
no rails in bathrooms
It was a nice enough room and was a tad more comfortable feeling than most hotels (Comfort Inn etc) The location was perfect - near everything but it was not noisy overnight. Bathrooms could use some updating (sink was a little blocked) but it wasn't off-putting.
I didn't see much of the staff and while friendly, they didn't really explain things well. I'd never visited the hotel before so pointing in the direction of a bunch of doors and telling me to go through the door was a little irksome. Also, elevator to market floors is locked early in the morning so how about letting clients know that rather than letting them stand there pressing the button and peering down. Be your clients' eyes!
Hotel is conveniently located at a major bus exchange. A huge variety of meals are available in the market downstairs. Close to all the things we wanted to do on the North Shore.
The 3:00pm check-in time is very inconvenient for anyone arriving early in the day. They were willing to store luggage. Lobby waiting area furniture is not at all suitable for older people or anyone with mobility issues.
Room was not very clean, furniture could use a good wipedown. Alot of dust on the furniture as well.
Very poor signage drove right by twice and once into the wrong parkaid. Do not arrive after dark and tired. Booking advertised a Total Price but then another $30 for taxes and $12 for parking.
I booked the room for Joe Hood, while he was in Australia (his home). Joe found the room just fine but when it came to the billing, instead of billing his visa card for the two nights, they billed my Mastercard for the first night and presumably only his for the second night. Joe is now travelling in Europe and cannot be contacted, so I am going to eat the charges. The story from the hotel changed a couple of times - at first it was supposedly acceptable if I demonstrated that my name, and not Joe's was on the Mastercard. But later that was apparently not good enough. And I also got the run around from Mastercard so eventually I gave up the fight (and I will probably deep six my Elite Mastercard as I have had several problems with them). I sincerely hope that the trainee on the desk at the hotel did not double bill. I know for a fact that they got Joe's visa card details as I was with him at the checkin... But not when he checked out.
Loved the well-appointed room: big screen tv which swiveled so that it could be seen from couch, mini-fridge & microwave, comfortable queen bed, and above all, the view from the little balcony with 2 chairs! Location was right by the huge market!!
