Poor parking options. You have to pay for parking as well.
The location worked really well for us since we were on our way up to Whistler, but also wanted to spend a little time in Vancouver. It provided perfectly acceptable accommodations at an excellent price.
No hot tub or pool, but not a big deal.
Very old feel & stuffy for a great waterfront location. Very evident ownership has deferred maintenance & upkeep.
The lady in the morning did help me: I said the pillows were horrible and lumpy and the bed was squeaky REALLy bad like a east end derilic hotel: I don't know how to spell it because I would never stay at something so bad. The noise in the hall, the doors closing constantly was ridiculous I will never stay there again even if it was 35 dollars. Horrible sleep and lieing staff. and parking???? again i expect that expense from downtown but not there. I will be looking at the PIer from now on = much needed renos
Because I requested a quiet room I was completely dismayed that I got the room right next to the elevator. The room right after the main door so up to 2 am and starting at 5 30 am that door was opened and closed - put a muzzle on it!!!!!!! the bed squeaked HORRIBLY - i was alone, i merely would just roll over and it woke me up and the pillows were LUMPY., i can't imagine if somoene wanted to have sex!! jeepers the woman at the front blamed it on a new employee: don't believe it. also the view was dispicable: a slight view of the ocean but really? overlooking the offices. and the art positioning was silly.
Rooms are very nice and clean, free room up grade without even asking, beds are extremley comforable, bathroom is the olny thing alittle outdated. The market in the hotel is wonderful. If you can fit your vehicle in the under ground parking its $12/24h. If you cant you will almost pay the same for what you paid for the room for nine hours of parking across the street. Would highly recommend, & book online for cheapest rates.
Location Proximity to restaurants Rates are good
The location, the market, the view. You don't have to leave the enclosed market ( heated and under the same roof as the hotel to go to eat, shop or buy most things.
Was a little hard to find where to park and where the lobby was. $12.00 for parking for one day seemed a bit steep for us not used to paying for parking in big cities.
Friendly staff central location to transit, restaurants, Quay
Not a major criticism, but the soaps and shampoos were "Eco" brand, but they had synthetic perfumes and other chemicals like any other products. Only the packaging was green. Same with the toilet paper and tissues: it's FSC certified, but still logging old growth forests to make toilet paper... Not good. Recommend switching to Purex T.P. and Scotties tissues made with recycled fiber (and locally milled in New Westminster). Toilets are old and huge water wasters. Ours also had a minor leak.
The location in the market, the staff was excellent. Near a lot of good restaurants. The harbor views are very good for skyline pictures. I would stay here again ten times over.
During the time we went a lot of the stores and shops close early for our taste, we tend to be night owls. Had to across the harbor to D.T. Vancouver to stay up late.
Location right beside seabus. Excellent value for money (don't be scared of the very low price). Lonsdale market right below hotel for food and other supplies. Great little gym.
The parking is difficult to find. The sign is very small! But once you find it the lot is an easy in and out with direct access to the hotel via elevator.
location was good. in room coffee nice view ,
construction started at 7am:( in room coffee was terrible.(had to purchase my own coffee that didnt taste like water.. bring your own K-cups)
Size of room and bathroom. A bathtub. Quietness despite being part of a working port with railways and construction nearby. Right beside the Seabus and bus terminal. Discounts in Lonsdale market. Great places to eat without leaving one penniless.
I do not like extra charges small or large. A facilities charge of $2.50 a day was initially added to my bill which I was unwilling to pay.
convenient , comfortable bed, great location with easy access to down town & shops etc. Parking was great & affordable, as was the room rate.
bed a little small for two adults (maybe a queensize,
Good location, helpful staff.
No in-hotel breakfast or bar.
what we liked was the great location as the sea bus was right next door, had Tims coffee right across the road, and the view was great
did not like being up all night with the party that was happening next door all night till 4am
Liked decor including brocade bedspread with cushions and large window with view to water. Also liked seating area with sofa and chairs. Very good coffee machine and coffees. Appreciated the microwave and small fridge. Really liked the sound machine with ocean and seagull sounds. And liked the huge bathroom with long soaker tub.
The first night we had some problems with the room heater. It was very noisy if left on and while off, the machine was letting in very cold air from outside. The issue was mostly resolved the next day by the repair person, but we still needed to keep a towel over the controls to reduce cold air coming into the room.
sheets were clean
noise travelled through the hallways. I was never told I'd have to pay for parking. front desk was very snotty to me because we were a young couple I felt.
Good location, lots of food choices, friendly, easy access to public transportation, very quite,
It would be nice to see a bit more thought put into smoking designated areas we had the impression that we had a room with a balcony with access we asked were told would have to decade to smaller room to get balcony and still would not be able to smoke on balcony for people that smoke to be comfortable they need to be able to have a smoke with out walking a mile to do so for survey it is hard to mark excellent there was hooks that fell off wall do to looseness hair dryer did not work little things but uncomfortable sets in when to many little things happen for medical discounts would have to have degraded to standard room did not feel we should have to decade our style of life just to get a discount
We like that it is part of the market place so you can have a great time even if you don't want to leave the facility
The front desk staff has consistently been poor. Whether it be directions to the hotel, where to park or speaking clearly. Mumbling, one's English was poor.
Christmes party until 1.30 morning ,loud music, after that 2 oclock some idiot was doing renovation used hummer etc.
The staff in general was accommodating and the maid service was very good. And I really liked the market on the main floor.
The one thing that I really didn't care for was when I asked at the desk to have them call a cab for me and was told I could probably find one down the street (in the dark) and when I refused to do that they did call one for me.
Paying for parking
No smoking rooms
A nice alternative to downtown
I had a minor computer problem and the young staff person came right to our room and corrected the problem This whole process was handled with in a matter of minutes. We also like the in room amenities of fridge, microwave, bottled water for coffee and personnel water bottles and proximity to sea bus.
