I enjoyed the meals in the dining room.. The staff were very friendly. The room was quaint but a little small. There was no where to put your toiletries in the bathroom or shower.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. They even arranged to have a taxi to be at the front door early in the morning so we could catch our train.

The location is the best. It is within walking distance of everything in downtown Kamloops and when we stay there we dont have to worry about cleanliness. We know its clean. We also stay there once a year with the Watchtower Society. Everyone aggrees.

Reasonable value, in downtown Kamloops, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable. The only let down was the restaurant staff at breakfast time. Two floor staff on duty, helpfulness and attitudes very poor. Restaurant not busy but we were ignored on entering the room, left sitting for far too long and had to remind staff of our presence before being served. Speed of service also very slow. Worst service experienced during our 3 week stay in Canada and usa. So poor that I made a point of suggesting to the front desk that the restaurant staff badly need training.

I feel very comfortable there and the staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant , The restaurant was very good and even the complimentary breafast was more than adequate. I would have liked an alternate bed covering as I find the duvets too warm - an extra blanket would be great.

The free breakfast and the friendly staff in Rock Salt restaurant. Our room was located on the same floor as the hotel staff room. Their radio was on all day long and we can hear them talking loudly and clearly even in our room. It was very noisy and disturbed our sleep. When we finally fall asleep the fire alarm rang around 6am without any reason. We went downstairs and waited for around 15 mins until it stopped. Then it rang again for another few minutes after we lay down in bed. We couldn't really get back to sleep after all these disturbances and felt really tired. The hotel staff didn't explain why the alarm rang nor showing any sorriness about what had happened. We stayed in Kamloops just because we needed a stop point. Would definitely avoid this location next time! Try those hotels next to Trans Canadian Highway if you're looking for a short stay.

The rooms have been reconditioned and are verycomfortable. See next comment. There appears to be little if any night security. Our whole night was disturbed by a bunch of partying guests. Slamming doors which must have been bathroom doors because of the door closing mechanism on room doors. Yelling and screaming at the top of their voices, both men and women. When I reported this to the morning desk clerk she pretty well shrugged it off because she had not been on duty. I would not be able to recommend this hotel to others.

Nice rooms and very clean. The pillows were horrible! Also, the window should be able to be openable. You might consider a semi-shear blind or drape rather then the opaque blinds... It would allow some natural light into the interior rooms while reducing your electrical lighting bills. Opening windows would also reduce your air conditioning load by quite a bit.

The hotel was historical and quaint. The decorations were interesting and the location allowed for easy walking to see the downtown area. The price was reasonable with a clean room even though the room was small (similar to the era). The hotel had bums begging for money outside regularly and the parking lot was small with extreme crowding for any vehicle that was not a compact in size. The parking lot was not secure and made it difficult to leave anything in the vehicle as it only left it as a target requiring all items to be secured in the room. The floor did not allow for a ramp to access the hotel rooms on the 2nd floor to take the luggage cart close to the room door. Only one luggage cart made it difficult to move baggage when it seemed always in use. No room safe either.

The staff was friendly and couteous, the room was tidy, the bathroom was spacious, it was a great stay. I felt it was a bit over priced, but I don't know Kamloops rates, so that could just be me. Also, the room was quite small. Big enough for me and my small pup, but I wouldn't have wanted to be acouple in there.

Location, old world charm. Breakfast needed a lot to be desired. Reception staff should dress more appropriately, and not show off so much clevage.

I liked the fact the room was very clean with crisp white linens on a comfy bed. The downtown location was very noisy late at night with sirens screaming and drunks hollering the weekend we were there.

The quaint room we were in and the comfort. Our window looked onto the lower roof of the hotel. There was no table in the bathroom to put our toiletries on.
