Parking was a bit crowded because of unusual snow dum earlier.
Room ,facility, breakfast
Very comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Left feeling well rested.
Loved the old school charm with the modern updates.Nice to see there are still business owners that still recognize the value of things from a bygone era. Not enough of this now days in my opinion.
Would have liked to have tried the restaurant but it was undergoing renovations at the time of our visit. Next time
There was a half drank water bottle left in the room.
Old building was neat.
I've stayed at the Plaza several times now. It has such old world charm. Like many heritage buildings it has some quirks, but that adds to the charm in my mind. The staff has always been fantastic at the plaza and I truly have felt at home staying there. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.
Bring some ear plugs as the downtown is boisterous.
The breakfast was better than any other continental breakfast we have experienced
You still have to pay 8 dollars for parking The night staff was terrible. It took just over 45 minutes to get us checked in. They didn't have the room we had booked. After giving us keys to our room, we grabbed our stuff from our car and made our way to the elevator. This is when the administrative lady nonchalantly told us we probably didn't want to go to that room because it wasn't ready. We were then given a completely different room and house keeping tried to get into the room at 9AM, before we checked out. The breakfast food was great but the service was fun to watch. A young hockey team came right before the 10:00 cut off and the servers acted so unprofessionally as they were angry they had to serve the boys and their family. None of the staff, whether it be restaurant staff, day staff, or night staff, had any warmth to them at all. The rooms were fine but so small . . . I regretted staying there after being treated badly and getting a sub par room.
bed Room was clean and comfy Breakfast Parking was cheap and convinient
Being walking distance to the downtown shops.
Food wasn't very good. Fruit bowl in particular was horrendous.
Character, coziness, staff was awesome, free breakfast, free appie at Fireside - a fantastic boutique hotel at a reasonable price.
View from rear rooms unfortunate. Sink in 301 didn't drain properly.
Size and comfort of room; staff was very friendly and welcomed our pet.
Location of hotel in town
The staff were friendly, helpful & professional in manner, the location was convenient, and the beds & pillows were really comfortable. We'd stay there again and recommend it to friends.
The customer service was amazing. The breakfast was very good. Will be staying here again ony next visit to kamloops.
I could hear when drunk ppl were going back to their hotel rooms. The room was to warm for me, and it said not to turn down the heat.
The building is impressive, and the decor works well with its history. The blend of new and old is seamless! The food is exceptional! My room was quaint and cozy with everything you'd expect from a 5 star hotel.
I wish I had known about this place sooner!
Free wifi Good tv Great free breakfast Close to good restaurants
Room was so hot we had to open the window and could hear people yelling in the street. You have to pay to park
Location Comfortable bed Wi-Fi worked well Good room rate for the location. Great for people who like boutique/Heritage hotels or need to be downtown.
These compliants might be specific to the room I stayed in (506) but the bathroom is very small especially the shower and not as clean as it should be. Room in general could have been cleaner. Floor was uneven with a few boards seeming broken. Noisy especially on Saturday night but OK Sunday & Monday. Both at check in & check out I found the staff abrupt and unfriendly.
Hotel is nice, bed comfortable and WiFi was strong with some intermittent issues. Staff is excellent.
Stayed over Saturday night and the noise from the in-hotel bar and bar next door made sleep difficult. Room walls are not very soundproof.
Receptionist show us how to free parking close hotel. Good service.
I really loved staying there and enjoyed the Jazz music, I will for sure come back :)
This historic building has been very well maintained or re-juvenated. Being right downtown I thought there would be lot of noise, but it was quiet. The bed was so comfortable. The pillows were so nice. The staff were very nice.
The only thing we didn't like was the taxes. We paid for parking, which we've never had to pay for anywhere else. There was even a tax on the parking pass.
This character hotel is located on a main shopping street that offered a variety of restaurants and shops. The The hotel restaurant had a warm atmosphere where the food and service was superb. The street was lined with trees decorated with Christmas lights...lovely.
Very friendly staff, quiet room all amenities very close by. Very good experience all around.
Nothing, we a very nice stay.
The staff was great and very helpful when our vehicle was broken into . It was nice to have the free breakfast and it was very good .
We had our vehicle window smashed the second night there. Lucky there was no other damage . Same night loud noises from people partying on the street behind hotel
