- Confort - Big room with all the conditions, including kitchen - Rustic atmosphere - Metro Station near
- Bit far from the city center
Magnificent first bedroom - enormous space, beds and table and chairs for a single room.
Air condtioning units coud be better.
We liked the patio in the back yard, being able to site outside made it feel more like home.
Top floor apartment was perfect for our group of 5. Clean, spacious, comfortable, and quiet.
1. The Wi-Fi is working well.
1. As the room is in the 1st floor beside the drive way, I cannot keep the windows opened during the night. The air-conditioner is extremely noisy and difficult to get a good sleep under the noisy environment. 2. During my 2nd staying, there is NO maid service, no bath towel change, no garbage collection, no clean-up & bad set-up, so we have to use dirty towel for the 2nd night (no service person can be reached). 3. This is the worst hotel/hostel I ever stayed.
a very nice staff small restaurants near the place very clean
not too soft bed
Poor facilities and housekeeping. Noisy guests and mostly landlord absent.
friendly and helpful staff...
very sterile and clean but not homey....hotel is better...more tiolettries to use...king bed was hard...i still have a kink in my shoulder :( shared kitchen inconvenient...no water glasses in room
quiet location, near downtown, clean, roomy,
I really enjoyed my stay. I felt like I was at my home away from home. It is located in one of the most prestigious parts of the cities. It is a calm and quiet area. Take time to walk around the area. Nearby is a greenbelt great for walking/jogging/biking, which is lined by million dollar homes. The place is located a short walk from several bus lines and the metro station, so getting around the city is easy. There is a park with a community center that has a swimming pool, basketball courts, etc. There are several restaurants, movie theater, banks, and a market within easy walking distance. Even though I did not use it very much, I enjoyed having access to a kitchen. The wi-fi was really good and never gave me any issues. Everyone with the property was very friendly. I would definitely stay again and make it my regular place in Toronto.
The only thing I did not like about my location had more to do with the public transit system. On Sundays in Toronto the public transit does not begin until 9am, so getting to the waterfront for an early morning event meant calling for a taxi.
Described as a hotel but is an apartment. Door handle missing. Could not open back screen door. Shower fixtures placed on backwards so hot is cold but did not know this till I complained about no hot water. Could not have au conditioner on for more than 2 hours due to the noise it made.
Easy parking. Close to lots of eating options but could also use the shared kitchen if needed. Friendly people. Spacious, modern and very clean room.
safe location, short walking distance from main metro line, parking and kitchen facilities available
unclear when booking made what type of room would be provided not many restaurants immediately nearby
Staff on site, very comfortable bed, clean linens, comfortable room, access to a kitchen.
Dirty floors, no toilet rolls or bathroom supplies, water dripping through ceiling from bathroom overflow above and no compensation offered.
Great location for the price, near the subway to downtown. For the amount you save by not staying at the downtown hotels you can splurge on a cab or two. Very very clean and comfortable. Nice bed. Gas stove. Very lovely staff.
The place has a homey feel, which isn't bad, but sometimes it didn't feel 'private'
Unique place. Convenient location. The rooms located on the main floor of the home were stunning.
Do not stay in the Economy Queen room. This room is the size of a closet, not air conditioned and you have to share a bathroom.
Great location, met my needs
Park across the road. Lots of choices for restaurants locally.
Entrance for guest not marked. Steep stairs into main door/foyer with no handrails Despite booking three weeks in advance, host was not ready and had us wait for over a hour while they sorted out which key went to which door. We had three keys on a ring to gain entry to our room. No air conditioning which meant you had to sleep with windows open and sleep was disturbed by constant blaring of sirens of emergency vehicles. Host did not speak fluent English and did not seem to understand some questions ask by us. Hand soap in bathroom watered down to point it did not even lather when used. Host did not clean room during two day stay; garbage was not emptied in room. Queen room we had was on third floor and we had to carry luggage up two flights of stairs. Host did not provide internet password upon check in and had to get them to write it down on paper. Host did not provide clear instruction of where to return keys when leaving premises.
Its located 15 minutes walk from subway station Eglinton. Kitchen is properly equipped. The room is initially cleaned.
Policy to only clean room after one week is beyond me. I requested floor cleanup because our toddler had dropped some food, it was never entertained. I was only able to get another bed sheet after long negotiation and paying 1 dollar. The room was equipped with sofa bed. The bed wasn't enough to accomodate our toddler so I asked to use sofa bed. I had to haggle price from $20 per day to no additional price.
The location. A walk from downtown toronto. The owner was very accomidating. Felt like our own place. More like an apartment than a hotel shich I like.
The Parkway Place is extremely deserving of the 9.0 rating it has received on booking.com. As a young couple, we were looking for something affordable, yet close to downtown Toronto. It was by far one of the cleanest places I have stayed and we loved that we had the shared kitchen. Even though we stayed in the Economy Queen room, the shared bathroom was not an issue at all and was extremely clean as well. I felt comfortable with the staff and loved the modern decor. The neighborhood is just as nice as the other reviews mention. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Toronto. Be sure to email ahead of time to let the staff know your approximate arrival time!
Although we did not mind it, our room did not have air conditioning. There was a tower fan provided for us to use which worked fine for us.
Excellent service, very friendly staff, excellent location, close to TTC.
The cosy quiet and convenient location
A pen and notepad are always useful. An electric iron available to all guests would be an asset. Directions to the well equipped nearby underground shopping area complete with the large grocery store should be photocopied and left in each room it is a great unmarketed asset of this location and all within short walking distance.
Very Clean, comfy room Good location for price Cheap
Well had to share a washroom. Never knew "economy queen" means that there is no washroom in room. They do have some nicer rooms there some with kitchenettes that looked nice. For the price really wasn't that bad of experience. However unacceptable not being told about the shared washroom in booking. Make sure you call to confirm what your room includes. Also no phones in rooms.
Very modern property. Great location, only about a 5 min walk to the subway. Quiter area. Felt more like home than staying in a high ride hotel.
I found the bed a bit a uncomfortable (mainly the pillows) but there wasn't anything else I disliked. I would stay here again.
