Size of room, decor and overall cleanliness of this room was excellent. Room was above average in size and very pleasing to be in.
Available parking Ease of access Clean rooms Comfortable bed Kitchen available
The room was very clean and had everything we needed. There were a refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was spacious and equipped with a good hair blower. The heating was great. The place was pretty cozy and the room very comfortable.
We didn't know the place was not a hotel, neither a hostel or anything else rather than a regular house without any sign. Also, there wasn't a reception. We weren't able to meet the host, but the lady who received us was very kind. We were expecting to pay by credit card, but were requested to pay cash because they didn't have the credit card machine. Even though the location is close to a subway station, it is considerably far from the tourist spots.
- Sharon really put a lot of effort into the room preparation to accommodate my allergies. - the place was really (and I mean really) clean. The floors shone. - the bed was amazingly comfortable; good quality of sheets. - individual thermostat control. - dust-free heating system - We had the King bedroom, 1st floor. It is bigger than many of the new condos currently being built. It would be ideal for a business traveller, or people looking for a relaxed short-stay, in preference to a hotel. - coffee maker, electric tea kettle, microwave in the immediate room. Apparently there is a full kitchen elsewhere, which may be shared, but we didn't need to use it so no comment. - frequent bus service on Eglinton connects to the subway - MetroLinx is far preferable to driving in Toronto, or trying to find parking. Other people had remarked on Toronto noise, which is pretty much inescapable if you stay anywhere in Toronto. We found Parkway Place very quiet. Highly recommend.
Only indirectly related to the Parkway Place; MetroLinx is building the LRT along Eglinton. When finished, it will be a wonderful asset to the Parkway Place. Meanwhile, the traffic congestion caused by construction is considerable. I'd advise checking with your GPS to avoid construction. Better still, find an alternate route if arriving by car. We used Davisville to Chaplin, coming in from the East.
It was reportedly newly refurbished and painted. I found it very clean, with friendly staff I stayed three days. I definitely highly recommend for all, in particular those of business man as well as families. I wish to thank to the owner too.
all good. no complaints
Everything is great... I would definitely recommend Parkway place to all of my friends
If you want a good location, spacious room - but don't expect any hotel like services. You are renting a very nice room - that's it.
Not secure...because its a home with various rooms in it, there is no security on site. in addition, the landlord accessed our room when we were out to fix a light and didn't lock the door when they left! No daily housekeeping was provided. We ran out of toiletries and clean towels. Since there was no one on site, and despite calling for assistance, it was not provided.
Friendly helpful owner, cleanliness, affordable parking ($7/day)
Great location, 5 minutes walk from the subway station; the owner is very nice and attentive woman. All the furniture was new and clean. Not too crowded. We had a great pleasure to stay there. I would highly recommend it to everyone
Stairs leading to door very steep with no railing. Owner is planning on installing a railing. It was a little further from subway than we thought. Only fast food restaurants close by.
Clean; central location; modern; kinda like a small boutique hotel without room service nor any extravagance
Noisy nearby traffic in early morning if you leave window open; and waiting for the shared bathroom. Not recommended for work travel but fine for leisure.
Lovely , bright and modern apartment . Request for extra pillows was seen to immediately. Bathroom was lovely - huge shower !
Inadequate comfortable seating in lounge area. There was just one small settee/bed which would only seat 2 people . Had to ask for extra pillows as there was only 2 on each bed. Not enough of each type of glass for 4 people . Some information on local amenities would have been helpful eg the location of nearest supermarket or just where to buy milk . Or where to get a good evening meal. Steep stairs from 1st floor to the 2nd floor apartment.
Just comfortable.... Perfect...
Very good location and friendly staff. So friendly to children... We feel just home
- Confort - Big room with all the conditions, including kitchen - Rustic atmosphere - Metro Station near
- Bit far from the city center
Great kitchen, bathroom, WiFi, space, etc. Very fairly priced. Staff is serious about guest wellbeing and willing to keep our suitcases on our day of departure which was helpfull. Our best stop in three weeks Canada.
Magnificent first bedroom - enormous space, beds and table and chairs for a single room.
Air condtioning units coud be better.
We liked the patio in the back yard, being able to site outside made it feel more like home.
Top floor apartment was perfect for our group of 5. Clean, spacious, comfortable, and quiet.
1. The Wi-Fi is working well.
1. As the room is in the 1st floor beside the drive way, I cannot keep the windows opened during the night. The air-conditioner is extremely noisy and difficult to get a good sleep under the noisy environment. 2. During my 2nd staying, there is NO maid service, no bath towel change, no garbage collection, no clean-up & bad set-up, so we have to use dirty towel for the 2nd night (no service person can be reached). 3. This is the worst hotel/hostel I ever stayed.
a very nice staff small restaurants near the place very clean
not too soft bed
Poor facilities and housekeeping. Noisy guests and mostly landlord absent.
friendly and helpful staff...
very sterile and clean but not homey....hotel is better...more tiolettries to use...king bed was hard...i still have a kink in my shoulder :( shared kitchen inconvenient...no water glasses in room
quiet location, near downtown, clean, roomy,
