While i stay'd there it was Awesome. my favorite game is there :) Ping pong and Pool Table. For Sure I'll get back there, when i go to Montreal.
i didn't have time to swim. hehe thats it.
Bad non clean
- Morning buffet needs to be manned better and needs a little more space. - also front dining room was very cold due to winter weather and windows
Great salt water pool! We liked the free continental breakfast, there was lots of choice. Nice to have ping pong table and a pool table, even if the room they were in was still under construction. We only stayed one night, but found the facilities perfect for our needs.
The level of service from staff was not great. Upon check-in, I was given a rate that was higher than what I agreed to when booking online. The grumpy check-in attendant told me it would be corrected the next day at check-out. I was with two young and tired kids, so I did not press the matter further and decided to wait till check-out. When we went to use the pool, there were no towels in the pool area and we had to come to the front desk three times to ask for them. Upon check-out, I was presented with a receipt with the higher rate than the one I'd agreed to. The front desk attendant didn't know how to change it, waited for twenty minutes, but I had to go to a previously scheduled appointment. I was told a manager would call me and sort it out. He did call and promised to resolve the issue, but upon verifying my credit card, I discovered I was charged the higher rate!!! It took another couple of phone calls and lots of time on my part to finally resove the issue.
the size of the room and the helpfulness of the staff.
Good breakfast, good attention, good restaurant and good location
ventilation is noisy, the running treadmill doesn't work
Well placed (subway, buses, highway)
Location. Breakfast area and food
Extension chords in the room. Uncomfortable bed.
This had to be one of the best hotel locations I have ever been. I was just minutes away from Downtown, Mont Royal and St. Joseph's Oratory. It was an old hotel and needs to be renovated but very, very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Comfortable bed and got really good nights' sleep. There's a Metro a few blocks away and a Bus Stop close by. Car parking was convenient as the hotel had its own lot. Breakfast was quite good with some nice selections of breads, hot and cold cereals, juices, eggs, and such. There is a strip mall with a nice grocery store, pharmacy and an excellent Chinese restaurant further down along Van Horne Ave. Would be quite happy to come back here in future Montreal visits.
Elevator was a bit temperamental.
There are more then enough bad reviews for this hotel and I honestly cannot see why. My boyfriend and I travelling from outside of Toronto, visiting Montreal for our two year anniversary and my 21st birthday. Initially, I had requested to an early check in for 12:00-13:00, but we arrived in Montreal earlier then expected. The gentleman at the desk greeted us and upgraded our room to a king sized bed for no extra charge! Wow, can you say service? Also, Ben was very friendly, helping us and giving us general advice on things to do & see in Montreal. We loved the ping-pong table, pool and sauna! Overall, I would say this hotel is a great value for someone looking to stay in Montreal on a budget. Like free delicious continental breakfast, pool, sauna, ping-pong table and free parking in a decent amount of ways from downtown Montreal, who can really complain?
The cold bitter Montreal winter, will be back for summer although!
Cleaning was good. The bed was comfortable. The price competitive.
Parties next door throughout the night. Weekly wifi pasword change w/o notification. Broken/missing lightbulbs. The smoke detector hanging frm the ceiling.
Our room wasn't cleaned proper if at all,bed was ruffled garbage in the garbage can used towels on the floor and dirty ones hanging up!! Room temp was brutal either to hot or to cold, staff wasn't pleasant or friendly, lobby and the rest the building smelled horribly and our room was road side making it very loud and hard to sleep!! Also the slamming of other guest doors all night!! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone!!
-The restaurant was reasonably priced -The customer service was excellent -The neighborhood was good and close to subway -the room service was excellent
-the curtains were different lengths -Thought there was going to be toothpaste and there wasn't -room never got totally dark -wasn't expecting taxes at check-in and threw me off
Hotel was renovated in a good way in the following area Lobby Dining Area Pool Area
1- Extension floor with no elevator was not pleasant when you have to walk stairways with your suitcases. 2- Black and grey Stains on pillows and bed sheets!!! 3- Mold in the bathroom
hotel build the final room I received the quietness on the parking side friendliness of cleaning ladies, and in general the personal If the issues would be addressed correctly, I would dare to come back!
the toilet seat being for 5 year olds, being way to small. Is this a joke? the silicon bath insulation must be renewed, common guys, this takes 30 minutes a room general maintenance should be performed. lots of small issues that should be addressed and solved...start working on that!
People going to their rooms at 2am and not being respectful. Very loud. Other than that great stay
rather clean, rooms are quite well equipped (mini fridge, coffe maker), smoothly working wi-fi, big tv screen, close to malls, shops and some restaurants, quite good value for money
no elevator to last floor, plastic cuttlery and dishes at breakfast (I mean very very non-ecologic!), old-fashioned, quite far from metro station, breakfasts are not very varied, rooms needs some renovation, two rooms were separated only by doors, paper guides are available only in french language
Well situated, good value
The hotel can use a good scrubbing and a fresh coat of paint.
They placed us in a secondary room, small and smelled smoke on a nonsmoking hotel. The breakfast was supposed to be a continental one but was poor. No bacon, no saussage nor ham or any other type of meat. The locations is quite away from the most important places to visit
The room size and facilities. Coffee machine was very good and practical.
Breakfast could have more variety like sausages and ham
The free breakfast was excellent
Prices In restaurant
Light bulb was out. Phone and internet didn't work.
No movie channels, complimentary breakfast is very poor menu, only two fruits, one waffel maker, two choices of cereal, horrible coffee. Very bad location to downtown.
asked for room close to elevator got the furthest away. we are seniors and do not walk very well
Staff was great
Breakfast menu and quality was awful
