The Strathcona Hotel    

Excellent location.

No reasonable view out of the window. No chair and desk in the room.

The staff were pleasant and welcoming. The Hotel was clean as was the room.

For the size of the room I don't feel it was value for money. Considering parking added a quarter of the room cost.

The location was excellent and very convenient. The hotel was clean and trendy.

The mattress was a little too hard and uncomfortable.

Comfortable bed and pillows, bright lobby, friendly staff and very clean. Location is great. Other than construction (cannot be helped) it was very quiet and restful stay.

I found it difficult to work the soap dispensers due to it's height on the wall and the stiffness of the containers. I don't have strength in my hands. I'm sure if I'd asked I would have been provided with an alternative but I always bring my own soap so it was not a big issue for me.

Rooms are very small.

Suite design is modern, clean lines, good finishes, bed was comfortable, good lighting, hotel location was central, staff were courteous, if a bit overwhelmed at the time I checked out.

poor sound quality - neighbour's garbage trucks were VERY noticeable at 5:30 AM, door to hallway had no sound-damping stripping around the perimeter, so it was noisier than expected. As a downtown hotel, views are restricted, but I wasn' there for the views.

The location.

The new method of dispensing soap. How do you reach soap in the bottle attached above the bath tub when you are sitting in the tub? There was no bathmat available in the bathtub when taking a shower. Parking is not convenient.

A great service from all the staff. A very comfortable, clean room with an extremely luxurious king-size bed. The location; the CN Tower, Rogers Centre, the Harbourfront, Hockey Hall of Fame, the Air Canada Centre and St Lawrences Market were all within a comfortable walking distance. A high-class feel to the hotel but with a budget-friendly cost.

Though no fault of the hotel, the building work going on around the area made it difficult to get dropped at the hotel.

Staff not very proffesional. Full garbage in our room when checking in. Wifi shouldnt come with a charge for long business stays. If so tell visitors before giving password instead of telling me i should have read my manual.

Location was superb for attending Hot Docs Film Festival, as well as sightseeing, strolling and eating. Modern decor and cleanliness create comfortable, welcoming environment.

Bed wasn't very comfortable Wifi was an add-on ($6) but didn't work very well - it kept dropping out unless I (literally) stood over by the door.

Though the room was small it was very efficiently laid out. The location in Toronto was excellent

Room fairly small and dingy. Had to pay ($5) for internet connection.

We didn't ge any sleep from 11pm -2 am... Too much noise and parting going on our floor.. I finally complained at about 2am... I feel we shouldn't have payed for this room due to the lack of disturbance we experienced during our stay. The hotel didn't offer us any compensation... Not even breakfast. We will most likely not stay again.

Small room

Free toilet kit for those who had lost their luggage. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast (would be good to add muesli and real apples/oranges). Location. Room was quiet and well illuminated.

Desk was small and had no seat. Free toothbrush was too soft and bendy to be useful.

Situated near train station, in the heart of downtown Toronto, 15 min walk from bus terminal. Modern room, clean.

Location was perfect for our needs. Very close to the main station and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and lake front. Quiet, considering its central position. Good Wi-Fi connection in room.

Rooms were on the small side and dingy with limited amounts of daylight and no windows that could open.
