The Garden District of downtown Toronto is home to this centrally located hotel, placed only moments from the Eaton Centre shopping plaza and offering spacious accommodations and modern on-site...

We were in Toronto only one night because we came to attend the opera. The hotel is reasonably priced for downtown Toronto and centrally located - we could walk to opera. The staff were very helpful. The rooms are small - think "New York" but we were not in Toronto to spend time in our room. There is a small restaurant that is attached and was handy for breakfast and lunch - it is reasonably priced.
Very wellaintained and clean
Room rather small but okay for overnight stay
Service was friendly and very helpful. Luggage storage a huge plus. The room albeit smaller was clean and updated. Location was more than perfect. Priced very well. Clean, comfortable and very quiet.
wifi was not up to par and I believe should be free for hotel guests.
Location, especially for main train station.
To pay for WiFi. Limited facilities, e.g. no in-room safe.
A very convenient location at a reasonable cost
it seems nobody verifies if facilities are functioning properly. 1) Shower was not functional. Tried everything possible to make it work. But that did not work 2) TV also was not functional. Once switched on, it froze. The remote was useless. The only way to switch it off was to remove the plug Both problems were detected late at night.
Everything was great!
I really enjoyed my room it was very clean and comfortable I would go back and stay there
Location. Polite staff
We had no dislikes. Here are some opportunities for improvement. Foyer and furniture needs updating. Staff could be more informative marketing facilities of hotel. Installation of Sanitizer dispensers could help with the control of viruses and would promote good guest health:
Everything. This was my second time there and I would recommend to others. I was offered a bit cheaper hotels but I wanted this one. The first time I was there was great, too. Pricing, location etc.
It was the best nights sleep I have ever had.
Decent price, good location.
No parking (aside from valet) had to walk a 2 blocks to get to a public parking lot. Our room was very basic with a view of a wall out our window. With a room so basic I would think the price could have been lower than it was. I also didn't know ahead of time that they charge an extra $100 to your credit card for a security deposit and it posed a bit of an inconvenience for me at check in.
staff is great, they take care and help a lot. Location is perfect. Clean and quiet
Wifi is not free
the city , the food.
Location is excellent, close to many restaurants and bars, and within very easy walking distance to the Eaton Shopping centre and the ferry terminal to the Toronto Islands.
There seem to have been a problem with the key card to my room. The first three times I went up to my room, I had to return to reception to get the card newly coded because it didn't open my door. Also, there are two elevators in the hotel, and only one was in operation (without any sign informing about it) resulting in occasional waiting times of two or three minutes for an elevator.
Modern. Really nice executive room with large comfortable bed, nice bathroom and hard flooring. The building is across from the Royal York Hotel and a Tim Hortons, with other restaurants hidden in office buildings nearby. It has a good rate for downtown. Easy rental car drop off in nearby Metro Center (we used Alamo/National but may be others) if you just want to wander for a few days. Can walk to St Lawrence Market, Art Gallery of Ontario, Harbour area etc. Subway access about a block away.
No wifi included in Booking.Com rate of 110-125 per night plus tax (made point of looking up our room number when asking about it which seems chinzy) - we went to Tim Hortons to briefly use theirs rather than pay $10/day, so it was inconvenient.
convenient location, prices more reasonable than others.
room on the small side but well laid out. One fo the Night Auditor (male) was a little gruff..not too friendly ..needs to brush up his customer service skills...the other one was okay Internet kept on flaking out...shouldnt be doing that when you pay for it. Coffee machine in lobby was out all week..i stayed 5 nights.... Right Elevator was out during week...
Clean and convent.
Location +++ Clean
Room very small. Would have traded one of the single bed (which had no use to me) for a desk where I could put my computer + chair. Could be convenient to many professionals like me who travel alone.
Rooms fairly small but very clean & comfortable
I choose The Stratcona Hotel for my last-minute, overnight stays. It's so convenient to hop off Porter, check my bag, and head to a meeting.
No free WIFi
Location close to rail station Good for stopovers
Noise from vents in adjacent building made it impossible to sleep in room 520 at rear of hotel. Also noise in corridor WiFi not free
Near union station
Room is small & wifi is not free
It was not a good deal! For the price is not worth it. Paid close to 500$ for two nights. The room was small. Very cramped. Only one elevator was working.
