The Very Best - A Victorian B&B  

Lovely old restored home. A very well prepared breakfast. Very convenient as a base to see Fredericton. Owners very friendly and helpful.

We booked a queen size bed. Apparently Canadian standards are different as our bed was like our full size. Try to stay off the third floor. The steps are a killer.

The spaciousness of the home and size of the rooms. The backyard and outdoor seating. The quality of the breakfast The location in the historic centre on a lovely street. Quiet. The host, friendly and knowledgeable.

Sam and Yolande (owners) are great people, nice to talk to, very knowledgeable of the city. Perfect home cooked breakfast in the morning to send you on your way. Love this spot!

The room was much larger than it looked in the picture, the bed was unbelievably comfortable and breakfast was a 4 course meal! Fresh fruit with yogurt, porridge with dried berries, a croissant with ham, egg and cheese and finally warm baked gingerbread cookies! Sam and Yolande were very friendly and helpful with picking out a restaurant for dinner and sights to see in Fredericton.

Very welcoming hosts who go out of their way to make you feel at home and treat you like one of the family. They were so very helpful and went out of their way to assist.

The hosts, Sam and Yolande are lovely welcoming people. The Very Best feels like going home. We stayed there for three nights during a music festival. We made friends with other guests and enjoyed good conversation and lots of laughter. This is a casual residence, not stiff and formal. One is welcome to wander around the large home's common areas. The pool and decks are great. Breakfast is well prepared and plentiful.

While it was clean, updated linens would be welcome, as would better quality coffee, but then I'm a bit of a coffee snob.

Great location - 10 minutes walk from city centre and 5 minutes from parks. Lovely house, beautiful room, superb breakfast and excellent hosts who were happy to suggest where to go, eat etc

Beautiful and rare old Queen Anne home. Sam and Yolande are lovely hosts who take pride in what they have worked so hard to preserve and are generous to share it. They also lead you to wonderful walks and places to eat.

We enjoyed it very much.We will stay again if we are in the neighborhood. Highly recommend it!

There is nothing I did not like here. It is the Best.

Location was fantastic, walking distance to everywhere. Very nice street with lots of beautiful houses around. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The house has 2 reception rooms one with a pool table! Lovely porch with rocking chairs facing the swiming pool...Lovely!!!

The bed (#1) was squeeky, which was distracting! The room was too warm. Old air conditioner! Maybe, fans would be helpful on a hot evening!

Our hosts were most welcoming and, in addition to attending to every detail of our stay at the b&b, they offered many wonderful tips about dining in Fredericton and sights to see during our brief stay. I would certainly recommend The Very Best - a Victorian b&b to other travelers.

There truly was nothing that was unpleasant or unlikeable about the b&b or our hosts. Samuel and Yoland were delightful.

The Very Best B & B lives up to its name in every way. A beautiful home within easy walking distance of restaurants and historic downtown Fredericton. Sam and Yolande made us feel welcome and took the time to have a chat. A computer is available in the pool room for guests who do not bring their own and a sauna and pool are also available for anyone who wishes to make use of these facilities. Breakfast was fantastic - what more can I say? We were very happy with our choice.

It is a great place to stay! Yolland and Sam are very hospitable and we could felt like in our own home. Congratulations! The b&b is very closed to everything and you can walk around very easily. Fredericton is a very nice city... We are looking forward to visit it again in the future.

Sam and Yolande were very friendly, helpful, interesting and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was a simple feast. The rooms were pretty and comfortable with many ammenities we didn't actually use - fireplace, TV, DVD player, ironing board & iron, pool robes, etc. but it was nice to know they were there if needed. We would stay there again if we are ever back in Fredericton.

The owners were incredibly accommodating and were very, very knowledgeable about the area and different things to do and see in Fredericton. There is exercise equipment, DVD players in every room, some DVDs which you are able to borrow while you are there and a pool table. It was too early for the pool to be open while we were there, but they do have a pool and a sauna. The home is close to trails and a small business district which is nice.

I have back issues, so the mattress wasn't great for me, but to be honest, I encounter that problem almost everywhere I stay.

Sehr schönes altes Victorianisches Haus welches von einem sehr freundlichen Ehepaar geführt wird. Das Frühstück war super. Die Lage des B&B ist zentral ein paar Minuten zu Fuss von Downtown. Im Sommer wunderschöner Garten mit Pool und Sauna sowie kleiner Basketballplatz. Empfehlenswert.....
