The front desk staff was the best I have ever met.
The site is much larger than expected. The front desk staff were superb - knowledgeable and friendly. The room was large and nicely appointed in keeping with the historical theme. The room was very accessible for elderly people as requested.
With no cell service for all networks it was difficult to deal with a family matter at home. At least the pay phone was fairly inexpensive to us.
directions to the restaurant within the hotel are very confusing, very long walk from some of the room locations
The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a family run business which means the staff like to give a little extra. The location was fabulous with the Ghost Town next door to the hotel. Beds and room were comfortable, with lovely views.
The hotel is a little dated.
GSP leads you to the Revelstoke Post Office not the real location
Interesting History surrounding this place. The Ghost town and trains are a must for History buffs.Had a great time.
Wonderful setting, ghost town was a fun morning of exploration.
Pool a bit small and boring.
Loved the Ghost town and good value restaurant.
Hotel was in a time warp and hence didn't have all mod cons but it was a good experience
Lovely location to spend a day or two canoeing or fishing, but we were just passing through. Elaine in gift shop very helpful with local information.
Little bit out of town. Very ordinary restaurant.
we liked the peace and quiet and the surroundings with the lake and the train tracks at the base of the mountain
the service in the restaraunt was not the best in the evening but very good for breakfast
The do rawly lay out of the hotel had great appeal
Beds were uncomfortable
The location, the staff.
Bit run down but it's a huge place.
Ghost town was brilliant and spent far more time there than expected because it was so good. Will definitely stay there again.
it was a little way out of town but after staying there we couldn't of cared a less!
A good location with beautiful view
Because I had passed by this facility for years I assumed it might be somewhat run down by now. To the contrary it is up to date and was better than expected. Hope to return someday.
Family friendly hotel facilities, beach, lake, Ghost town, Enchanted Forest
The views and family activities.
Rather run down.
beautiful peaceful, lots of history
no change room for pool area
Everything!!! Three Valley Gap is one of my very favourite places.
Had to leave! Will plan a longer stay next time.
Setting Ghost Town Restaurant
unique and fun hotel and destination... enjoyed the ghost town and quirky hotel
expensive for what you got...
We really enjoyed the ghost town. The private beach and gardens were very pleasant. The view from our room, facing the lake was beautiful.
The restaurant has many issues - most of them have to do with the staff that becomes overwhelmed with seemingly simple, routine restaurant tasks. From their inability to clear tables and get the patrons seated within an acceptable timeframe, to the extremely bland food (how do you mess up a BLT?) coming out of the kitchen. Once you are seated in the restaurant, you had best clear your evening, as you will be there for much longer than you are likely prepared for. We were seated on the patio, surrounded by at least 5 uncleared tables for the duration of our drawn out visit. There is also no liquor service on the patio (which we were informed of once we were seated) so you need to make a decision - cocktails in the loud, bright, un-air conditioned dining room, or soft drinks/water outside in the fresh air, away from the chaos inside. Best bet - drive the 10 minutes into Revelstoke...better food choices, & you will be back sooner than if you had 'dined in'.
We enjoyed the family atmoshphere and the casual feeling of the entire resort. We went to the ghost town and really enjoyed the coulple hours that we roamed around there. The meals at the restaurant were very nice and we didn't need to leave the property to dine.
Although the pool was sufficient, there was a lot of hair and stuff in the water. It was also located in the lower level with no view to the outside so felt enclosed.
Loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the lake. The Ghost Town was amazing - best value for money ever. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. Basic necessities, no luxury. Ideal location for my travel plans.
The building needs a big overhaul.
The hotel is refreshingly different from the standard chain hotels. There are many interesting details, and especially the adjacent "ghost town" is a cultural treasure and really worth visiting - a very positive surprise.
The dinner menu is pretty limited and the staff complained they are short of workers, probably because of the location of the hotel and the closure fior autumn and winter months.
