Close to everything!
The beds were VERY uncomfortable (sagged into the middle) Tiles on the bathroom floor were broken/dirty Sink outside bathroom was handy, but took hours to drain Time to renovate!!!!
found the beds comfy location was perfect. pricing was great. Staff was great.
found that the washroom was a bit dirty, floor hadn't been cleaned properly. found out after we arrived that there was a late night event on. could not get refund.
The location is great, the cleaning and room staff were great. Check out clerk could be a little more courteous .
The rooms could use some up grading, same old worn out items, like towel bars jury rigged with plywood, shower curtain rods rusty, smelled like dirty socks (thanks to frebreeze) ironing boards falling over in middle of night, cracks in sinks, no drain plug in sink, sink would not drain, it would be nice to have an electric outlet on wall to plug in laptop or other devices, I realize the area would be loud but it would of helped if security guard would not stand outside door talking all night. And always check your pricing they will get you at check out. hotel booking .com had the room at 61.99, the sign out front said 65.00 but was charged 69.99 and would not budge even though I had confirmation, should have just stayed elsewhere.
everything. but you should change the signs showing you to the rooms from 214 to514. thank you for a pleasant stay. we will be back. jim and deb.
The ONLY good thing about this place is the location. Its in the center of the Clifton Hill district and seconds to walk to all the attractions including the falls.
We paid $175.00 for a Saturday night which is a total rip off for the quality of this motel. Carpets were stained everywhere. Green, outdated, disgusting washroom. Sign on the street said rooms for $68.00 when we asked why we were being charged so much more we were told the $68.00 is during down season, and never on weekends. FALSE ADVERTISING!
2 am karaoke in the parking lot
Location is perfect but more for singles or couples with no toddlers
Location! We visit the Falls a couple times a year and usually stay at locations off of Clifton Hill. This year we decided to try something different. The location for attractions can't be beat, the room was better than expected, staff were friendly and helpful and the Karaoke bar was great. We will go back.
Great location on Clifton Hill, walking distance to all attractions, but in the future will forego this convenience for a quieter hotel room.
We were not aware of the open air Karaoke Beer Patio in the parking lot of this hotel until we got to the hotel. We reserved on line and were told at the check in desk. We as seniors with our 8 year old granddaughter were kept awake but the excessive noise and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Also the plumbing is heard in every room. The occupant of the room beside us decided to shower at 1:30 am which was very loud in our room.
My friend and I have made multiple trips to Niagara over the years and we always stay at the Thriftlodge. The location is perfect and the price is awesome considering how close you are to everything. We both love the short walk to the falls, casino and the restaurant selection closeby. We also love spending time in the Beer Garden! The hotel staff has always been friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would recommend this hotel because it's close to everything and for the price it's a great hotel.
Location was perfect!! The staff were excellent.
Location is great.
Needs updating. The price was a little steep for the room.
wasnt told when booking about the karaoke till 2 in the morning wasnt told that the card i used to book would be held for 14 days if i paid with a different card never heard of that before and ive stayed at alot of hotels no elevator for elderly my mother is 81 and we were on the second floor not even a refridgerator or microwave all around would'nt stay in it again
I had young children with me and was not aware of the karaoke on fri nights 20 feet from my room. My family and I did not get to sleep until 3am. Will not be staying here again. The rooms were pretty clean but smelled.
Loved the location and lots of space in the rooms.
Carpets, beds and bathrooms need updating.
It was a convienient location for enjoying The attractions of the falls area
clean nice setup great staff
RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING
Location is perfect, staff is friendly.
It would be perfect if breakfast was included, thrift lodge is part of travel lodge we are able to use the pool at travel lodge why not have access to the free breakfast? ????
Loved the location and the staff was wonderful.
The building itself is dated. But otherwise it was clean and well maintained.
The location is superb. We had a fabulous time and will be back in the future.
I didn't like that my cell would not work off wifi. But that is the case in most motels.
Convenience of the location
How noisy the location is. They have a karaoke bar right beside it that runs until 2am its so noisy we didnt get any sleep. Then after that something turned on and was rattling, humming and vibrating the whole room and we could not sleep. The staff were clueless. It said on the website pay later yet they charged my credit card anyways when i said i was paying cash. The sinks were so old when you turned on the water the pipes rattled and banged. House keeping walked in on us at 9am when check out is at 11. This place was my worst hotel experience ever
Not organize, old and noisy aircon, smelly
The location was great!!
The noise and partying was not good for sleep! Music and noise went long past 2 am!! Will never book here again! Will try Travelodge next or Comfort Inn!
It was right on Clifton hill and across from a good club. The beer garden was right outside our door and we could watch and hear the karaoke from the parking lot.
The room was dingy and felt dirty. There was no fridge.
