Saggy dirty carpet, smoke filled office, crummy swimming pool, chipped dirty bathtub, no security in parking or room areas. Offered a muffin and coffee whille they last but nothing more.
dispatch depends on the day the day I went wasn't nice. the following day was nice guy.
first dispatch. breakfast system.
Inexpensive overnight stop on way to the rockies, clean if a little tired, plenty of places to eat very close, staff very helpful.
Nice room, good value
Hallways are a little worn. Air conditioner is noisy.
Poor shower old carpet
Place was clean and no pet or chemical cleaning smell as I have Asthma and allergies to fragrances. Staff friendly. Very close to convention location :). We had a top floor room which was very quiet. we brought our own pillows because everybody needs their own pillows from home to get that good sleep..lol. The room had a little fridge and a microwave and also a coffee/tea maker. Also a continental breakfast downstairs which we didn't use but appreciated the hospitality.
It was a hot weekend and the west side seemed to be really hot especially as I was suffering from Hot flashes.. So I know next spring to get a room on the east side instead. But I would defiantly stay there again .
Location and the lady working the front desk was very professional and nice.
The free breakfast should not even be mentioned. I walked over to mcdonalds instead.
noisy, needs redecorating
queen size bad was crammed into corner, WIFI extremely slow, impossible to download movies
Scalding hot water. Room temperature, couple of unsightly stains carpet and upholstery.
Nothing Where rubber boots in the shower
Everything Place is a joke, pay the extra 10-15 bucks and stay elsewhere. Loud, staff are rude, so called breakfast sucks, won't empty garbage, don't make rooms if you stay more then one night. Run down, tub drains don't work. Won't ever staff at a thrift lodge ever again, let me with a bad taste for the chain. What a joke
The breakfast arrangement is not good you should have a sit down area for guest to have breakfast. The step and lobby area was dirty and smelly.
Clean comfortable budget friendly accommodation.
That it was only 5 to 10 mins away from daughters place.
That we had to stay in a smoking room. Phewy! The shower was horrible, I was standing in water up to my ankle while showering. Slow drain if not at all. I had to ask for some compensation due to booking mixup and all I got was unfriendly service from both the booking company and desk person, which he then gave us $10.00 off. I will not ever recommend nor stay there again and I will never book through the company I used.
Torn sheet. Old comforter bed not comfy. Floor cracks alot. My son wouldn't sleep because of the noise
Great for a night recovering from flight and getting ready for big trip to the Rockies.
Very basic motel just for sleep/close to airport.
Out side area not clean.
bathroom door didn't close properly, both sink and tub drain were slow running and probably need to be cleaned, stairwell had lumps of mud for the two days we stayed, air conditioner very noisy
Staff is accommodating and did give a nice discount on check out after a less than great stay. Great location.
When we checked in room seemed ok but on closer inspection found cigarette burns on blankets and floor in a non-smoking room. Room was not very clean with hairs in bathroom and stained tub, rug looked like it needed a vacuum and the sheets looked washed but had stains on them, should have been thrown out. Air-conditioner was very noisy and could not sleep. Asked for a different room and AC did work a all, given another room and the AC worked fine but if ran the microwave at same time would trip the circuit breaker for the room and have to get someone to reset it. One day after a long day out we came back and our room was not made up so I had to go the desk to get some towels so we could shower. All the rooms we were in smelled like someone smoked in them and were sprayed with febreze just a nasty smell. I guess its smoke smell from the smoking rooms and the febreze was trying to cover it up. There was a couple of nights where there was a party going on the staff did nothing as it went on till the early morning. Would not recommend staying here with young children. I would not stay here again, the staff did what they could for me but its and old building that seems beyond repair. The room is not like the picture they post.
It was fairly easy to get to the Telus Convention Centre by using the C-train.
Room was not wheelchair friendly but it was located on the ground floor. The walk to the train with my husband in a wheelchair was quite difficult since there were slanted driveways to the hotels in Motel Village. The sidewalk on the other side of the road was difficult to get on but once on it was easier than on the other side of the road. I had to take the wheelchair on the busy road in order to get to the ramp for the sidewalk. A ramp was being constructed on the other side of the road.
Loved the salt water pool! Very comfy beds!
Wet carpet when entering room possibly from previous guests. Wasn't told we had a choice of 2 levels & no elevator.

- Location was great. - Price was great.
Didn't like how there was a misinterpretation as to how many people may stay in a room. With the standard of 4 to a room, we searched for an accommodation that can hold 10 people and possible split within two rooms and this location was shown as a result to that search. Having the perception that this was acceptable, a specific staff addressed us but not in a professional matter. It felt like we were being talked down as delinquents, understanding that intimidation may be a factor because of such a large group. With our sincere apologizes in disturbing other patrons and slightly bending the rules, we didn't appreciate the lack of professionalism from a staff member when addressing an issue.
It was clean and well located close to the city train line. The man in the reception office was friendly and informative. Not a luxury palace but certainly not terrible.
Frankly it was a bit expensive. Not in relation to other hotels/motels in Calgary, but relative to what you got. It was during the stampede so that probably explains that.
