Location was perfect and the reduced price for sea kayaking was a great bonus. Very clean and quite comfortable. Basic facilities but certainly adequate. Most of the staff were very friendly.
While most of the staff were extremely welcoming, one lady behind the desk certainly wasn't and didn't seem too eager to help.
The Paddlers Inn was more akin to a Youth Hostel for adults, clean, airy and warm.
There was no parking other than on the street outside and even then there were time limits beyond which one's vehicle had to be moved to avoid being ticketed by the town.
- Very central location in a historic building - Small, intimate and cosy - Fresh fruites and tea/ coffee + utensils available in the kitchen - Well-maintained facilities (clean washrooms, linens, kitchen -> only need to load dishes in dishwasher, they will take care of the rest!) - Decent size room (I was in the superior room with a double bed + futon, facing the water) - Didnt have noise issue with other people but they all seems to be the quiet non-partying type
- If you are facing the street, and especially on the weekends, be ready to be blasted by music from the Legion across the street (I think they tone down or stop after 10 though ..) - Could have put some incense in the building. It seems a little musty but again, I have a very sensitive noise - The window screens could have been washed - it's quite dusty ..and I suspect it may contribute to the smell when the breeze blows in ...
quaint bedroom, bed and bedding very comfortable shared kitchen facility room overlooking the bay Excellent staff.
Shared bathroom with no sink in room for private washing up. very easy to hear others, no real privacy at all. price is too much for a room without sink or bathroom facilities
Perfectly adequate for our needs. Great staff. Clean, cozy and a nice place to hang out.
Bit noisy at night because of the bar across the street.
The location, price and cleanliness were outstanding.
They advertise having a kitchen, but when we got there we were told it wasn't to be used for cooking. You could store food in fridge, make tea or coffee, have a bowl of cereal etc. With fresh seafood being sold from people's front yards we wanted to cook dinner and couldn't. The staff communication for late arrival and kayaking trips was too unorganized and loose for my liking. That being said I will go back for the location, price, cleanliness and awesome kayak tour!!!!
Location proximity to the town and the ocean. Discount for kayaking to those staying in the Inn. The price was excellent. Deck overlooking the shore and kayaking set up. staff was very helpful.
Room walls were thin so sleeping can be difficult if all residents aren't respectful of this.
cozy setting close to centre of town and dock facilities
very clean, big rooms. Complimentary coffee and fruit. Beautiful view from kitchen window (and some rooms) Good location right in downtown Tofino
very old building with paper thin walls. Every noise in the house can be heard, including live music from the legion next door. No common room and completely void of reading material.
Location, facilities and friendly staff
Considering the great central location, the place is very quiet! Nicely kept, clean and homey. Really enjoyed staying here. Good value for your buck.
I really have no complaints, just that the wifi was very weak in my room but still managed well to do my business. Overall it was a very good experience. Do recommend
The location, friendliness and charm were all perfect
Historic charm of the building. Excellent location for paddling, shore dives, get suited up in the room and in/on the water right outside the door. Walk to everything in town, and hikes, surf a short drive away. Enjoyed meeting like minded outdoorsy types in the well equiped communal kitchen. Fresh fruit, tea, coffee, cereal supplied was a nice touch. Friendly helpful staff.
Private bathroom would be nice. Some minor plumbing issues
Close to town and Beach and Forest (by car, not sure how you get around otherwise). Old Worldly charm. Breakfast was very good, though you make it yourself.
That I wasn't aware that it was backpackers style. A bit pricey for that. Room was not really designed for 3 people though we asked for a room for 3 adults. This was made evident when it rained.
price, nice cozy roon, and nice breakfast
1 restrooms for 10people...long.wait...i had to go outside!
