What we liked was that it was exactly what we needed. They had a mini frig, microwave if needed, close proximity to a grocery store, elk grazing on the ajacent lawn, very hospitable staff, free internet, very comfortable bed with comforters, economical, easy to find and travel to if one has a car. The one negative remark in the reviews (that caused us to almost not use this place) was not accurate. I highly recommend this establishment.

Good value for Jasper. I appreciated getting relatively good rate without advance payment. Convenient location (walkable to town centre; access to routes) and parking. Breakfast coupon was good value considering quality of breakfast and service. External stairs, walkways needed cleaning but considering the end of the summer season it is understandable that these areas wear considerably.

Comfortable and clean room (although somewhat small), good value breakfast buffet option with excellent service. Given the discounted rate we had, and the Jasper location, we felt it was good value.

Was really pleased with the room at the Tonquin and the facilities. It was a good location walking distance to the main streets in Jasper. Also close enough to a number of walks (we didn't have a car). Staff were lovely and the facilities (laundry, pool/hot tub, restaurant on site, wireless internet access) were all great.

Had a nice patio which would be good for the summer. Staff at the restaurant were friendly. Poor condition of rooms. Poor layout. No breakfast included. Alot of noise and disturbances at night on the weekend. Not a good hotel if you plan on spending any time in the room. Internet service was very poor.

It was cozy; a little loud at times but that was due to it being NYE. Heating could not find a comfortable temperature.

We had a very comfortable stay. I liked the room size it matched the price we payed compared to other places we have stayed. The bed was very comfortable and we slept I think better than at home. We had no trouble finding parking either. Just like in an appartment you can hear through the walls. We could almost hear exactly what they were saying. But I think they were yelling and having a fight.

I had stayed at the Tonquin before and found the room to be old and cheap, however, there have been improvements and renovations done because this time the room was new and fresh. I would stay again!

The resteraunt on the premises was very good. Nice atmosphere. Our room was at a very uncomfortable temperature the first night of our stay. We lost our parking spot also on the first night. You advertise on your website that there is parking on site however, we had to park on the street the first night!

Nice location The room was filthy, the pool was cold, the 3 hot tub/wirlpools were lukewarm, room service was plain bad, the restaurant is very expensive. Overall, the price is not worth the place.

The maid service had turned up the heat in the room so high that when we arrived, we could not get the room to a comfortable temperature. We opened both windows and the door to the room and still could not get the temperature to a comfortable level.. This resulted in a hot and restless sleep.

There are swimming pool, Room is too small. If you are going to ski/snowboard trip, you probably will take lots of stuff as ski, boots, pants and jackets. It is really hard to move inside the room while you are drying your stuff after mountains. Also, in description was mentioned that we should have LCD tv, in fact it was old-school tv which tried to turn off spontaneously [simply -was broken].
