Very comfortable, clean and agreable. A few steps to the Union Station, St. Lawrence Market and the cn tower. The staff was a little rude. When we came to check-in the system was out and they made us wait for hours, without being polite or explaining the real situation.

Nice hotel, staff were very helpful and friendly and ddin't mind that the kids used the hotel gym on their own. Close to the bce building, plenty of good resturants and not to far from Young Street and the Toronto Eaton Centre. Really really hard to find when driving yourself, even for people who know the Toronto downtown area. Get a good map and directions!

This hotel is in an excellent location which is its main selling point, along with its very comfortable beds and a nice breakfast. I didn't appreciate the front desk staff trying to pass off a terrible room right next to the elevators to us, when we were going to be staying for three nights. I must say that once I returned to the front desk and requested a new room, it was given to us with minimal difficulty. This is the second time this has happened.

Location was good for our purposes. The price was good, but that was only because we booked it through booking.com. The price the hotel itself quoted us was twice the price of what we ended up paying through booking.com. The room we received was smelly and stuffy. The carpet had cigarette burns and stains, very unappealling. The room we booked was to have 2 queen beds, but was only one king bed. The room was tiny, and the view was horrid.

Front desk and restaurant staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. The room and the hotel in general were fresh looking, clean, and adequately appointed for the price. The mattress, pillows and comforter were uncomfortable. You come to a hotel to sleep. The bed is the most important part of the experience.

Very quiet and private rooms. Located in a centralized location, within walking distance of major subway routes. A fine hotel for business and economical travelling. The design of the rooms could have used some sprucing up. More modernized features.

The room key you use to access the elevator, and it wasn't very user friendly. But could for security.

Good location. I booked a room with a king size bed. The room we got had a double bed. When I informed the front desk they said they were sold out and could not do anything. The next day when checking out, I mentioned it again. They said they thought it was a king room and said it was "good to know". Did not even get an apology.

The location, price and comfort level were all perfect for our purposes. Also, we really thought that the food in the restaurant was excellent. I found that the room was too warm to sleep with with such a warm comforter. I used the extra sheet from the cupboard as the to cover when sleeping.

This is an older, very well maintained hotel in the heart of the downtown business center close to many restaurants & attractions. I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were clean & quiet and the staff were very good.

The hotel is reasonably close to Union Station [we walked with our luggage and it wasn't too bad] up two blocks or so is the King St subway entrance and close to a Tim Hortons for breakfast. The hotel staff was superb! The hotel itself was good for value but I would consider a couple others for more inner city, near action if traveling as a couple. Make sure if you are sighseeing you do the Casa Loma, and Kensington / Chinatown areas, wonderful lil Crepe place off the Spadina subway that I highly recommend! Only complaint about hotel was that while in the bathtub you could see the wood/drain work, had an incomplete feel to it. Aside from that it was fantastic.

It was fine for a weekend. Not much to rave about. We remember from other stays the old world charm. Nostalgic. That is now gone.....just another hotel, Modernized but bland. Too bad

It is close/in the centre of Toronto I have a room at the rear. My view was a parking garage. If I will recommand this hotel to my friends or make reservations again my preference will be a room on the front

All the staff was very pleasant. They treated everyone the same regardless of income. The hotel is in a great location. Very close to food places, shopping, cn Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame and the St. Lawrence Market. You can park your vehicle in a safe parking lot and walk everywhere! Our room was clean, comfortable and home-like. We'd definitely stay again! Just some construction on The Esplanade where our room was located, but we were not in the room long enough to experience that. We arrived on Friday afternoon, but went out shortly after we checked into the hotel. There was no construction during the weekend, so all was well!

Very friendly staff. Nice and comfortable hotel. You could choose a cold breakfast buffet (yoghurt, fruits, cereals, bread) for a cheaper price than the full buffet.
