Loved the location of the Hotel. This is the reason why I chose this hotel.
Wi-fi did not work. The air/ heat did not work properly in our room and it was suppose to be a renovated room which it wasn't.
Did not have refrigerator available for room when requested.
Big bed & room, nice bathroom, clean hotel.
No breakfast included, outside the center, WIFI wasn't really working. Lot of noise in the hall, doors slaming etc. High parking fees. Very unpersonal hotel, no charm, more for business I think.
Great access to uptown toronto
Room was quite dated, patio door was in very poor condition and a/c was noisy and ineffective.
The pool, the location of the hotel and the bed was comfortable.
Too much noise from people in the hallway. The balcony overlooked the Parking lot and what was possibly a tour bus started up very early in the morning. You could hear water flushing through the pipes from the room next door. Very poor sound insulationYou could hear the dog in the next room. We went to have breakfast at 10 am and the dining room was closing.
Quick efficient service. Clean room with all necessary modern appointments and terrace.
The location and upkeep of the neighborhood. Welcoming, clean lobby.
My spouse and I came to Toronto for a weekend anniversary getaway. For the cost of the hotel I was surprised how dark and dreary the hallways were. The main lobby is very welcoming....and it ended there. For the price you also had to pay for parking, the room had NO hot water (at 6:30 am when you think there would be a lot). The bathtub faucet was literally hanging off the wall and one of the glasses in the bathroom had lipstick stains on it and water marks. A little disappointing and what I would expect for a room we paid 1/4 what we did. We will not be returning to this hotel
Hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful, The food was really nice, particularly enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Very quiet on the night. Room was standard but very clean
Limited choice of food and a little expensive. Quite far from downtown and would better for people who drive Lifts could be a little slow
accessible location met my needs at a more affordable price
isolated, nothing of interest beyond hotel property
Close enough to downtown (if you have a car) via Don Valley parkway without paying downtown prices. It was surprisingly quiet and seemed tucked away which was a nice perk when you are in the city. Pool hours were quite late and there is an indoor AND outdoor which was great!! The staff were very friendly. Parking was close to the hotel which was convenient and made me feel secure.
They should update their bell carts (as most hotels need to do! ) No free breakfast.... there was one available which we opted not to get.... I can't recall the price but it was a bit steep for the look of the spread. Can't make note the food, however as we did not actually eat.
Great location in midtown for anyone with a car. Rooms appear to be clean & relatively comfortable.
Charge for parking. Front-desk staff need coaching on customer service (a regular issue at this hotel).
Price quoted was for up renovated Room and thirty additional dollars was demanded for an upgrade.
Found that the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was great value and was very comfortable.
It was sort of out of the way and not too many restaurants or attractions other than the science center within walking distance.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious. We even got free parking!
The breakfast is very expensive.
Free wifi. Close to brickworks wedding site. Helpful staff. Heated tile in washroom.
Room was not as shown in pictures. My parents and I bought the same room and theirs was beautiful and modern while ours had parched popcorn ceilings, and an old AC unit that was very loud and only recirculated stuffy air. Not stroller friendly as we had to carry the stroller up flights of stairs just to get to the lobby or reception area.
complementary room offered after negotiation the cleaning lady did a perfect job beds of good quality we did not have to pay for the coffee/tea and water from the tab was free too..
cold and unfriendly welcoming at the reception, we didn't feel welcome, we felt like moneybags bringing in extra work just for asking something overpriced water, this should be included in the accommodation fee in our opinion we filed a request before our arrival (2 weeks) and we never received an email/phonecall from them to confirm or answer our request too expensive for what it is no fridge in room
Location and comfortable beds.
Noisy air conditioning, sloppy housekeeping, lack of staff even to help with luggage (like no one!). The hotel shop is seldom open and the restaurant is pitiful (pleasant staff though.)
restaurant was understaffed and the food was below average
The extra charge for parking and The prices at the restaurant...$14.95 for two coffees and two orders of toast
This place nickle and dimes, bad parking $13 A DAY, a fridge $10 a day. We booked 6 days and each was just a place to lay your head. Nothing special
Nothing in particular, just the whole experience, value for the money at $1000 for 6 days,. No wow factor.
Location was great to all the places we visited.....also close to mall...restaurants and grocery store....wish we could have enjoyed outdoor pool....weather too cool for that....indoor pool could have been cleaner......otherwise stay was nice overall...don't think they should charge for parking either...but appears most hotels do this???
Fee for parking Cleanliness of indoor pool area...poor lighting in this area (pool) too
Front desk personnel
Spiders and webs in the room. Dirty looking. Door key failed 4 times Moved to a larger room in the basement but it had no view and I killed three large spiders
Reception staff - Friendly
Compare to the rate we paid for night was to high. The rate should have included breakfast.
From the moment you walk in to the hotel and notice garbage all over the concierge desk along with poor customer service skills. Do you not feel guests need to be greeted, actually they do once you are done your personal calls. That can also be surpassed. But when you book a suite, and end up not getting the same suite you requested and paid for. Also how do you give females a room with Racoons outside the window knocking on your door? Wanting to get in and cuddle with you? That is extremely unprofessional. When asked to be transferred to a different room you totally get ignored and are told that no rooms available. But magically something is available, when mentioned that you will be speaking to the manager. The service was terrible from the get go. I will never recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family. It's sad because it's not what it used to be. On the last sad note: Please don't leave your toothbrush behind, in order to request one you are interviewed on "why you need a toothbrush?"
