Very spacious rooms, if somehwat spartan: a true suite of rooms...could have held a party for 10 friends! Ridiculous and insulting to be charged $11.95 daily for the use of the internet/WiFi access! I refused to pay the charge and used the free access at the Croissant Cafe across the road.

Very, very little to like about this place. A heated pool - but rather tired with uneven tiles around it and on the pool bottom. Convenient location to Bloor-Yonge subway and plenty of eateries. You can do your own cooking. Only two of everything inc cutlery. Laundry is available - but supervise - otherwise you could find your stuff dumped on floor - at least it was not nicked! There are stairs that work - the elevators were not as reliable as stairs. Great if you are mountain-goat fit. Otherwise excellent value in learning patience for elevator! The whole places falling apart and the folk from xana are refurbishing the second floor - there are 26 or 27 floors plus penthouse level. We began on 12th floor and had no heating for our first night - we were vocal in our dissatisfaction when it looked like a second night in cold room likely - moved up to 26th floor and stayed for whole 9 nights - two adults and 8 yr child. Continental breakfast minimal; Disheveled, musty and in need or basic maintenance and fumigation. Sauna door to men's area falling apart; rusty lockers in men's and ladies' loos. Two nice and practical night managers helped us survive; day staff rude and abrupt. Only recommended for sturdy backpackers - otherwise avoid, avoid, avoid.

Location and the extra space being in a suite One lift out of action so only 2 were working making for long waits and journeys. The cafe was vile. It was dark and dingy. There was mismatching crockery and cutlery and the food (?) disgusting. Why they bother to operate this cafe I do not know. It was only open for breakfast and there are so many other places outside the hotel. The rooms need to be updated. The furnishings were very tired, wallpaper was hanging off the walls and the windows had not been cleaned in years. I am not sure if the renovations currently being undertaken here will ever be enough to make this a more comfortable place. Still, you get what you pay for.

My apartment was fantastic, incredibly spacious and good value for money. Great that there was a pool for a morning swim. Breakfast was yummy and I liked being able to get it take away to eat in my apartment. Excellent location - close to everything. Clean, well-serviced apartments. Friendly, helpful desk staff.

It was quiet, near downtown Toronto, the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was very basic but quite acceptable. The Suites decor is somewhat tired and the breakfast restaurant is a very dismal basement room. Currently there is exterior scaffolding as the building is under repair and the windows to our suite were very dirty and in urgent need of being cleaned.

Love the location, near Yonge street where there's everything (restaurants, shops) and right across the hotel there's a kioske. The shower (the tub seemed old and there was no water pressure in the shower head)

The pool was lovely - a great temp., And the showers and dressing rooms were super clean. The location of the hotel was great, so close to public transport and to shopping areas and interesting small restaurants as well as a supermarket. It was perfect for my needs. I found the heating/cooling system confusing to operate - took me a couple of days to figure out how to turn off the fan (if this had been a real problem, I would have called the front desk). The elevators were also frustrating - slow to operate and to close the doors at each floor.

The location on Church St has a great assortment of restaurants and the central location makes the hotel a good base for a few great days of Toronto time. The room is showing it's age. Still very comfortable and quite ok for the money.

We are not fancy travelers. Warm, Clean, Comfortable, and Value for our money is our goal. Lighting in our room was inadequate, there was no place in our bedroom for our suitcase and the breakfast was a poor value.
