Pool , Breakfast
Internet didn't work , room smelled like an animal had been in it,
The staff and facility were great parents and kids enjoyed their stay
Great location near hockey rink as we were there for tournament. Great value.
Even though wifi signal was good we could not connect with any devices.
clean room; accessible ( easy to find , ample parking etc.); friendly staff; ample breakfast.
proximity to highway: we should have requested a room on the back, but did not know enough about the location to request that.
The breakfast set-up was really good compared to others I have been to. The staff was very accommodating and having ocean view was a bonus. The beds were super comfy. I would definitely stay here again.
I liked the value for the money, I liked that it had a indoor pool although I didnt have time to use it. I would stay again.
Heater is noisy and Wi Fi didnt hardly work.
Right across from the water and walking path. Good pub restaurant located close by. Breakfast room was kept replenished and clean.
Heavy comforter which kept falling off bed. Wifi did not work in room at end of the hall - had to go into the lobby.
pool ,hot tub, breakfast, location,quiet
No coffee all day and very slow cleaning rooms
Good breakfast Staff was friendly
Need bedside table and lamps both sides of bed. Needs brightening up.
Room was clean and quiet, good view to water. Breakfast room was kept clean and food replenished as needed. Pub with good food located within walking distance.
Wifi did not work in room - had to go down the hall. Comforter on bed with slippery covering was too heavy and kept falling off bed.
The staff. Rude and unhelpful.
Proximity to harbour where we had booked a fishing charter
Poor Advice abt places to eat. The pub down the road was recommended as providing good value and good quality food which was anything but!!!!
I liked the room,, and the breakfast kitchen was great...
I didn't like the look of the hotel when I arrived and I was surprised that there was no balconies or anyone to help with our luggage. I thought some of the staff could have been more helpful,, when attempting to ask info.. the young girl was sitting in another adjacent room and I was having to yell to her as she didn't move from her seat. She should have come to talk to me, but let me yell at her from the front desk to where she was sitting,, reading a book...
The location was great, the room was clean, they served a basic breakfast with coffee.
The beds are not great (at least in my room) you do not want a room on the back side of the building as there is no view. I could hear everything in other peoples rooms and they were only having a conversation so it made it hard to sleep.
Signed a disclaimer for NOT smoking in room, but room smelt heavily of stale cigarette smoke. Admittedly was moved without hesitation when it was brought to attention of staff. Breakfast was all with disposable plates cups and utensils and very basic. Rooms very old and tired and a/c VERY noisey.
The location is fantastic!
Unfortunately the beds were not comfortable; we had one bed that the spring was broken. The coffee machine in the room was broken which was a disappointment in the morning.
Comfortable room although upstairs with no lift. Breakfasts excellent with variety of options. Good value. Staff friendly and helpful. Small swimming pool indoors. Well placed for travel north or west into the interior. Good for whale watching trips in the inside passage area and for ferries. Also saw one young grizzly bear although early in season for them. Easy travel from Victoria. Several good restaurants in town.
The hot tub and pool were great the continental breakfast was by far the best I have had in a long time The price was fantastic for peak season .
No elevator but it's only two story's high fine for me but people with special needs might have to specify first floor only
Good continental breakfast
We had a toilet ran all night, visited front end staff they said it had been looked after but it hadn't. Also had to borrow a pack 'n play as the motels was not safe for a two year old to sleep in.
It was a comfortable room. Friendly staff.
The wifi was so bad I turned it off and used my phone. Breakfast area was much too small for the number of guests.
Dogs barking in the hallway and out side our window. Inprovment needed in this area!
The price was right and there was a free continental breakfast which was great. Clean.
Noisy neighbors. Drunk guy knocking on our door.
The location was great, the room was great for our short visit, and the breakfast was good.
The recliner chair in the room is broken and unable to recline.
The pool and hot tub are kept very clean. If you stay in an ocean facing room it has a nice view. Also you are very close to the beach and can go for a walk there. The desk clerk upon arrival was friendly and happy.
I found that the rooms are not very clean anymore. The bathtub had yellow and brown stains in it.The furniture is old and stained. The beds were very uncomfortable and they only put on a sheet and the top bedspread. I don't know about anyone else but I don't ever sleep with the top bedspreads on...that just left me with a top sheet. In the past they had good coffee and food in the breakfast room but the quality was very poor and the coffee was gross (both mornings I had it). I also didn't like that several of the hotel staff kept coming into the breakfast room to help themselves to coffee (not very professional). When I checked out I was not asked how my stay was and the front desk clerk looked put off to even have to be checking me out! Considering this is one of the more expensive places to stay in Campbell River the overall experience was poor. I also stay in Campbell River several times per year and they will no longer have my business, nor will I recommend it to anyone else!
