Location Bathroom was dirty ( tub had not been even wiped down) dusty - generally not clean.. Toilet ran adn leaked - someone came to fix it, but didn't and I ended up having to open back and put my hand in tank to flush and stop from running... Water all over floor.. Not so happy this trip. Last trip in 2010 was much better.

The staff were good The bed is king size but 4 inches too low a standard king is actually 5 inches higher than this bed makes it very dificult for anyone with problems getting out of a chair to get out of this bed also the bed and the pillows are too soft

The continental breakfast was good and was ample. The noise from the street outside was very loud, thus I had to wear ear plugs, but to no avail. The heating system was also very noisey and the adjustments were of no use, because even at the lowest settings it was still loud. Had to shut it off in winter to sleep.

Travelodge Nanaimo meets our needs about 4 times a year. As seniors we want comfort without frills and quick access to the main roads to the Malls and to our Ferries home. The quick breakfast and coffee in the room are a plus. The lights are rather dim, there are lots but not bright . a small night light option when we register would be nice.

The only improvement I would suggest is a bed topper for the mattress as it was very hard, we stayed at heritage hilton in arlington and the beds were amazing thats all best location

Walking distance to Port Theater and downtown. Breakfast being included. Could be quieter. In some rooms, especially in summer, there is a lot of traffic noise from the highway. During our last visit, in the middle of the night (2:35 am) , I was awakened by a man talking loudly on a phone for about 1/2 hour. I don't know if he was in a neighbouring room, if it was the reception desk (our room was right beside the lobby) or if he was talking on a cell phone in the hall or lobby.

Good value for a reasonable price. Very nice complimentry continental breakfast. Fridge and microwave were great to have in the room. 10% discount at the White Spot restaurant next door (with room key) Nice deck. There was not much counter space in the bathroom.

I have always had a good quiet nights sleep at the travel lodge Nanaimo. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The fridge and micro wave and coffee machine are important to my stay. A warm clean bathroom as provided there are important too. The reception staff are always very pleasant efficient and helpful. The girl who was on during my stay this time has been extraordinarily kind to me in the past when I had trouble with my car . She took time and helped me . I think a new carpet on the stairs and hall would be a good investment.
