The staff is awesome, rooms are clean, facility is very well kept. In the past two months I have stayed there quite a bit and I have been well received at the front desk. I have stayed at other places in the area but I will only stay at Travelodge Oshawa from now on. Keep uup the great work.
Check out time is 11:00 am, I don't think housekeeping should be knocking on doors of people staying just one night at 9:00 am. I understand there is a lot to do to prepare the room for the next person but for someone like myself who is on shift work it can be annoying.
mall close by pool room train st.close
elevator not working
The staff was very friendly upon check in. The WiFi was easy to access and the room was clean.
We were wakened up after 11:00 p.m. by people in the hall but that was not the fault of the hotel. We stayed on a Saturday night and were disappointed to find that while the kitchen is open at 6:30 a.m. on weekdays it doesn't open until 7:00 a.m. on weekends. We ended up having to go out for breakfast therefore losing some of the value of the room, since we checked out at 6:30 a.m.
Eggs for breakfast were much appreciated.
Cleanliness in Room and toilet
To collect water from 2floor water bottle not provided ,a/c was not working was replaced
First room was too far from elevator as my dad uses a cane to walk . Second room was still occupied. Third room was fine
The pool was nice enough, breakfast was okay.
Staff weren't friendly or helpful. Motel is very dated, dingy, not very clean. Carpets in the 2 rooms were dirty enough that we kept our shoes on. The lobby area looks nice, but that's where it ends. Broken lamp, patio screen door that wouldn't close, toilet in one room had to be manually flushed by removing tank lid, etc. I was downgraded because of a staff error after waiting 1/2 hour for the manager to decide that the unavailable rooms were available after all. Minimal sound-proofing, but fortunately the other guests were quiet at night. The manager was at the desk when we checked in, various others working the front desk over the couple of days we were there, only one gentleman at the desk even spoke to us. No sense of security at all, we walked in the front doors one night well after midnight, no one at the desk or anywhere nearby that we could see. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
location was ok for our purpose.
I booked this hotel for a one-week family vacation. It was a bad choice. Beware, the rating for this location is very misleading! I cannot imagine how they manage to get this rating at all!. When we arrived on Sat night, the pillow cases on both our beds were dirty and stinky. There was a pile of pillow cases left on the beds, so I guess the guests are expected to do their own room cleaning upon arrival? I am still not sure which ones were supposed to be clean ones, both smelled awful. Anyways, on the following Mon the room was not cleaned at all. When I asked at the reception I was told that all cleaning staff is gone and nothing can be done. No clean towels, no tea, coffee, nothing. Eventually someone brought a few clean towels but nothing else. Overall the experience was very poor. The beds stink. I mean they STINK, no matter if the linen is changed or not. The cleaning is inconsistent, one day we get 3 towels, next day 4, sometimes no tea/coffee/cups, sometimes too many, etc. Twice there were extremely loud parties, people screaming in the halls in the middle of the ningh, my kids could not get any sleep those nights. Finally, we stayed there for 7 nights, so I met at least half a dozen reception staff. NO ONE EVER SMILED. Not ones. Not when we checked in, not when we checked out, not ever. There was zero effort to make us feel welcomed. I am amazed that the management allows this kind of attitude for people at the front desk. I was treated as if I was a charity case, and that's after I booked 2 rooms for 7 nights and pre-authorized payment for both! I will never stay there again and will never recommend this hotel to anyone. Very disappointed.
comfortable, clean and great location for our trip to the baseball game from across the 401 via the GO train.
There was no juice selections available in the vending machines.
Convenient location for Oshawa and Whitby
Bit close to 401 highway. Noisy at times
Nice hotel, staff helpful. Very near the GO station.
Nothing nearby. It's a 25min walk to the bar/food/shop.
Breakfast was good but would have liked a little more fruit.
We were assigned a room facing 401. Another time we would ask to be at the back of the building because of the highway noise.
I found the hotel was a little worn looking, but the room was comfy and the breakfast was excellent.
The fact that my window in the room did not lock and that the heavy curtains were not able to close across the window. Throught the night a big light shone through my window.
The smell in Lobby.Pool was dreadful, far too hot and kids birthday party on when we arrived. Noisy and messy!
Needed to fax some important paperwork and the front desk staff were very helpful.
The business King room we had did no have a table an chairs for eating, only a desk and one chair.
The location was great for us - just off the highway as we did some travelling around and close to the GO train station too - for travelling into Toronto.
There were some very noisy guests on several different occasions until 2/3am - banging on doors, running down the corridors and shouting. It was quite scary and there didn't seem to be any attempt by staff to get them to be more considerate to other guests.
Staff at front desk were friendly and helpful.
It took me quite some time driving around Oshawa to actually find the hotel.
The room was clean and cozy
All of the cleaning carts in the hallway.
The brunch and the fact that they told us that the pool would be open between 8-8:30am and we waited until 9:45 and it still hadn't opened and we couldn't wait any longer as we were on our way to London, Ontario, on a schedule.
It was clean, there was no problem checking in late and the staff was friendly.
we had made a reservation for a buisness king room and when we got there they upgraded us to a larger family suite. it was lovely and big and the bed was very comfortable. we also like the proximity to the 401 and buisnesses in the area.
hotel was not clean, dated!
