Score from 52 reviews Good
The price was reasonable and the front desk staff extremely pleasant. Coffee and tea in the morning was good. The bed was comfortable but old mattress. The sheets were clean and comfortable. Pillows were good and plentiful.
The rooms need a major update. The carpet is very worn and torn in some areas. There are 2 sinks. One had a plunger and no stopper and the other had a stopper and no plunger. Bedspreads are old and need replacing and there is a faint odour in the room. The outside of the motel is very run down.
It was nice having a comfortable chair to watch TV. Also having a Fridge
I did not like not having an electric kettle in my room to make tea.
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were not fancy, but clean and comfortable.
It was clean and affordable for a busy weekend.
It was basic in the lobby, and hard to get into off the QEW. It seemed to be under renovation with stuff pilled up in the halls. People in the next room were screaming in the middle of the night. Very scarry! Sheets were so thin I thought it was paper.
Price-Best available at the time...but you get what you pay for! Staff-friendly. Unexpected coffee/tea/juice and pastry for breakfast (although not of any quality). Easy access to wineries, Welland Canal, and Niagara Falls area without all the rinky tink.
Tired Rooms, despite remodel. Frankly, I wouldn't want to see the rooms that have not been remodeled. Curtains off the rod, the hem was simply cut off to length and fraying. Sinks dripped and it seemed as if they were purchased at a garage sale and retro fitted. Poor workmanship all around. The parking lot needs resurfacing and although we could see it, we had trouble figuring out how to enter.
good location; the person who checked us in strongly recommended that we visit nearby Port Dahlousie, which we did and loved; very friendly staff
Smelly rooms Noisy (air con and highway) Poor ventilation Leaking toilet cistern and taps TV controls not working. Many lights did not work. Priced way too high - we paid average of $130 per night. Breakfast a joke.
Location, friendliness was very good.
there were two of us in the room and only one chair to sit on. an armchair would have made our stay a little more comfortable. The top cover on the bed had some very bad stains on it and in my opinion should not be used on the bed
The free long distance phone calls across Canada were very handy since we unexpectedly needed to contact several in Toronto and Ottawa during our stay; clean room; bed was surprisingly comfortable in contrast to very dated and limited room decor; light continental breakfast, not a wide selection but the food and beverages were fresh; courteous and helpful front desk staff; convenient location just off the QEW
Room decor needed some updating; same for carpet. The WiFi internet did not work readily, access was intermittent at time, would bump you off line too frequently.
Dirty, roof caving in, room in need of serious repair. Would never book there again.
Accessability and direct access to room from outside
Very tired looking - definitely in need of major overhaul
Decently clean, was not bothered by highway noise.
Room smelled of smoke (despite us reserving a "non-smoking" room), cigarette burn marks on the counter, soft/saggy mattress.
The bed had an ugly bedspread, the only blanket on the queen bed was a single wool blanket laid sideways across the bed. The carpet had stains, the bathroom was dirty and the tub rusting etc
Location was excellent mattress were new and very comfortable. Rooms were getting a facelift with paint and new mattresses.
Bathroom facets hard to manage. Behind the curtains in room there were many dead insects that had not been cleaned away in awhile. Otherwise room was clean
bed was comfy
the 100 deposit that they dont return to till after you have already left nor did i know there was one cause never had to have one before in any hotel
Actually i liked the freindliness of the guy at the recetion. He told me that they are on the way to renovate a lot of the hotel but it"ll take a while. Being convinced by what he told me ist the reason for recommending the location to others.
The Wifi in the evening was so poor that we stopped trying to use it. At about 10 o'clock there wasn't much left for breakfast. To be improved
Still under renovations- still things to improve
price and proximity
pool was a swamp and grounds were a disaster
Clean, comfortable, quiet enough for a main floor room. Was only there 1 night, but office staff was friendly and courteous. It was just what we needed for a short stay to attend a family function in the area. Easy access from expressway, on a main street.
Outdoor pool was not available as advertised - not yet cleared for operation by municipality? Would have liked a coffee maker in room.
Nothing. Not a single thing.
This one definetely goes under the category "never again". Staff is unfriendly and not polite, the location is close to the road and noisy, the rooms are poorly kept, facilities are unclean. Even on the budget accommodation one would expect more than that. No value for money, a huge disappointment, luckily we stayed there only for one night.
close to queen elisabeth hwy
poor surrounding and hidden entrence
Cheap; convenient access to QEW; not too far from downtown.
My expectations were pretty low, given the price, but I was a bit surprised at the haphazard housekeeping and the rundown facilities. My room featured a broken chair, a bathtub faucet that dripped continuously and WIFI that needed to be re-set hourly. Some staff tried to be accommodating. Overall, though, not recommended for guests who are at all fussy.
