Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Decent size room. Not too far to walk to old Montreal. About a 5 to 10 minute walk to metro station depending on road works which impacted on pedestrians use of sidewalks.
Quite dated with no lift. (This is stated on website when booking) We were not keen on being given a tray for breakfast with coffee or tea, fruit juice and a croissant. For us a choice of French bread would have been better.
Friendly staff Location
location, location, location and price. Nice desk staff.
Some street parking are free at night and on weekend which makes it convenient if you have a car.
Only good thing is the location. You can go by walk to main places.
Bad service in general. We stated 2 days and the room wasn't cleaned. The "continental breakfast" advertised is really one coffee and one muffin or croissant per person. In fact the second day, we couldn't choose between muffin or croissant. It was the croissant leftovers the previous day.
Great location and good price
Single room is too small due to the queen size bed taken almost 70% space of the room
Very small room.
Breakfast was good and plentiful.
Stairs -- but we were advised ahead of time.
Location, continental breakfast was OK
The hotel was very old. Carpets unclean, sitting on the toilet meant hitting your head on the wall in front of you. The air conditioners were being taken out - it was hot in the rooms, no screen in window. In all fairness, when we complained, the manager gave us a bigger room with a screen on the window.
I think they use some ( spray ) chemicals for bed bugs and the smell is so bad. I was worry to sleep there.
Location in proximity to down town
Terrible smell Dingy poor cleanliness Towels dirty. Poor toiletries. Not much to like
Great budget hotel close to all the amenities Very clean Helpful staff
Older hotel, very small bathroom.
Stained sheets with white crust. Appliances were broken. Over-priced and just down right dirty.
No elevators, rooms were very dated, carpets were filthy. Smell of stale smoke in the room. Poor soundproofing throughout the hotel and noise disturbance from the property next door.
The location is closer to downtown.
Stayed at this hotel in late August -Staff was kind. Good location - loved being able to walk to several points of interest, not to mention to and from the Montreal bus station. Beds were quite comfy. Was very nice to have a little dinette and a mini fridge in our double room. Not an up to date building but at least it was clean. Did not have any issues with noise and our A/C worked just fine...
Bathroom was pretty small. I am just over 5 feet and had to sit sideways on the toilet because the wall was so close. Wasn't a huge deal, though.
The hotel is well located, they allow you to come and go as you please by giving you the key to the main door.
Don't expect a good breakfast, however for the price paid, I think the value is fair.
It was close to old town-less than a 10 minute walk. Free internet.
the room smelled like someone used the carpet as a urinal. It was gross! A/C going constantly did not help. Continental breakfast consisted of checking in at the front desk and being issued a day-old croissant, packaged jam, and beverage in a styrofoam cup! REALLY! We stayed as little as possible in our room because of the stench. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
position, prize (but we got a special online offer)
ancient air onditioning system, no lift
Price and cleanliness
very very small room, noise outside window, broken blocking door in bathroom, unkind service, no help from reception desk, internet not working..and many other...
The tiny room, no kitchen facility
Location excellent, staff friendly
Neighborhood roughish(but borders excellent area of Old Montreal).
The breakfast was ok, muffins, milk, juice and croissant. The staff service was nice.
The smell of the room, damped like if the rug were wet.
Walking distance from train station flat 2km. Room large with 2 queen beds. Quiet night time.
Bathroom too tight - not able to access toilet in normal way!
