neighborhood; friendly staff
breakfast was nicely presented, but a bit scanty
The host and the hostess are very nice and friendly people from Korea. It is amazingly clean, so clean that it is hard to imagine a cleaner house. The location is nice - there is a park nearby. Everything is green and beautiful. The bed was comfortable, the room is sparkling with cleanliness, the wi-fi worked without any problems.
Since we did not have a key to enter the house (there is no a key to the house and to your private room), we had to return home early as the host and the hostess were waiting for us and wouldn't go to bed until our return. If you are a young person and want to stay longer in the downtown, this place may not be a good choice for you. We also didn't like the breakfast. It consisted of dried cereal with milk, toasted bread with jam, and coffee. I liked fruit though - that was good! We stayed at other beds and breakfasts, and appreciated a couple of scrambled eggs more dried cereal. Also, given the amount of money we spent ($300) for 2 nights, I think it could have been better. Finally, the location is good, but it is not a walking distance to anything but a nice local park. If you are a mature person, this may be a good location for you. So, there wasn't much freedom in terms of returning home when you like, not a walking distance to anything but the park, and the breakfast could have been better.
Convenient to bus to downtown. Safe residential neighborhood. Very nice breakfast. Very clean facilities. Street parking available for rental car.
No air conditioning during Vancouver unusual heat wave. Can't control weather, BUT fans should have been provided. A public living room would have been nice touch. Without one, you are limited to spending time in room only.
Fruit bowl Proximity to a wonderful park
Minimal breakfasts. We think it would greatly enhance the travelers experience to offer some protein, a boiled egg, yogurt, cheese rather than all starches. And ice should be available as well as decafe teas and coffee.
Quiet location and close to UBC. Room was spacious.
Same "Spartan" breakfast every day 4 days in a row. Only accepts cash and pricey. TV didn't have access to any sports channels. Refused a one day refund when my circumstances changed.
Location, quietness, hosts and breakfast.
The room was hot, no fan or circulation, no A.C.
Very attentive hosts and kind in all ways. Quiet and clean house.
Shower needs updating and bathroom not ensuite. Not a cooked breakfast which we did not need but others may expect. lovely fruit served.
Quiet residential area. Comfortable bed. Breakfast times flexible.
Bathroom across the hall.
Just a room down the Hall from family bedrooms. No key to house or to bedroom, so dependent on owners being there.. Snowing outside, but heat off. Window curtains broken and wouldn't open. Overpriced.
Rooms need updating ,
This B&B is located in a very residential neighborhood. Access to UBC (anthropology museum and botanical gardens) is great. Driving to downtown is a short trip. You probably don't want to stay here if you don't have a car.
