Good value for the price, good location, close to Skytrain, very basic and non pretentious, yet meeting some interesting other travellers. If one stays down-town after the sky train has stopped running--you can always catch the Night Bus from Granville and Georgia right to MacKay St. That ride is an experience in itself and a must for seeing a kind, caring and generous side of big city society--- the bus drivers on the night bus . They deserve big round of applause and a raise in salary. Robert , Whitehorse , Yukon.
The house didn't have any visable rodents. It was quite cheap and I loved that there were not bed bugs. The kitchen was small but quite well equipped. It felt more like a share house than a backpackers. Not White the same social environment. The people staying there were lovely.
The fridge downstairs had some juicy off meat smelling liquid that was there longer than my stay. The dorm downstairs was dark and squishy with four beds. Everyone that arrived was very confused by the self check In. There are no well set out social areas.
The wifi worked great! The house attendant was very kind and helpful. The previous comments really scared me, and I debated cancelling but the horror stories of cancelling made me not. It was much better than I expected! It was exactly as the pictures were though-broken furniture, thin walls, maybe clean sheets, I couldn't tell. It felt very safe and neighbourhood was very nice. Bring your own hand towels.
We had to pay cash when we arrived or with visa with a 7% charge for visa fees. We also both received a roll of toilet paper that we had to carry to the washroom each time-it was fine and understandable, just funny.
Quiet location, not too far from skytrain, good company and efficient friendly staff
location and price were great
Bedroom window screen was broken . ground floor bedroom window had flimsy lock.Did not feel safe.
It was very Clean.
Location was not that close to Public Transport ,20 minutes walk.
