Had to wait half an hour just to check in at 9 pm, staff went for dinner, then had to let ourselves into the room with reception on the phone. Parking lot was dark (felt unsafe) and far from the entrance. Foyer was dark and cold. My kids were scared and wanted to go home. Room was very cold on arrival sheets had hair and stains in both beds (clearly not changed) then when I moved rooms there was still hair in the bed sheets! Gross! Fridge didn't work well. Left my food out in the car it was colder there. Upon check out only 10% was taken off my bill. I asked for more to be taken off and was told that she would speak to the manager and get back to me the next day. I have left several messages but it has been about a month and no one has returned my call. Do not stay here! I can't get in touch with the Inn to even have my complaint heard!
The only really good thing about this hotel was that their was some sort of continental breakfast, and the best part was that we were close to the army base which was the purpose of our trip .
When we booked this hotel we booked 2 doubles and 1 single room. When we got there, there was a problem and we could not get 2 double rooms. He gave us 3 singles and 1 double which meant my daughter in law had to be by herself and not with her family. This was a very poor decision on their part at the hotel. There was another problem, the elevator did not work and we had my parents and my father law with us who are in the 80's. This was a HUGE problem because they had to walk up the stairs and at 86 this is a HUGE problem....I will not recommend this hotel to anyone, unless it is the only one available.
Spacious room, newly outfitted bathroom, quiet building.
An odd spot ... the hotel is a converted office building which doesn't make for a fancy entrance and reception area. Cobwebs in the room where we stayed .. felt like no-one had been there is a while. Otherwise, a decent place to stay. Fire door at other end of hallway said "out of order" which was a bit worrisome.
I did not like the charm bells hanging from the front door that woke me up every morning. Even people on the second floor heard them. Also the bed was way too hard and blanks are thin and when I ask for an extra blacker he didn't have any left.
Breakfast was decent
Key for lock to room
The personnel was cordial, the room was not cleaned or made over the two nights we stayed, first morning there was no breakfast n the only guy in service got us coffee from Tim Horton's. The pop machine was sold out of all offered drinks. Overall a disappointing experience
No elevator No bedside table TV had 10 useless channels Worn carpets covered hole in floor Nothing plugged in except TV Heater too noisy Pillows lumpy foam Only one hanger in closet Had to drive to a back alley to find the parking, so later parked on the street all night.
clean and good sized rooms. we had a king room and a double queen room. close to where we had to be.
the toilet ran all night. you shake the handle and it was something to do with the inner workings. i did not feel i should be the one to fix it. probably a $10. fix and they did not have an ice machine.
elevator not working, smelt musty, then cig smoke not nice, poor ventilation, I would not stay there again.
The room was updated and had decent furniture.
We didn't like that the way to get into the room was a code therefore allowing the front desk to know the code. This would have been okay had the room had a dead bolt to keep it shut which it did not.
King size bed was comfortable, cozy room.
-No one at front desk so I could book into my room. Phone number left to call on the door, no answer and no room to leave voice mail in the inbox. - This building is not secure, open to anyone to walk in off the street, no staff working to keep an eye on things. If my wife was traveling on buisness, I would suggest she avoid this place. - 2 exits from the building,1 was out of order. I hope they never have a fire. -Spent 45min adjusting the tv video and volume settings. - very few plugs in the room, I had to unplug the fridge to charge my phone. - The strangest spot for toilet paper holder??
very stuffy, no air circulation. Needs upgrading. Noisy.
We were upgraded to a king room instead of a queen. Very large, well decorated room. The breakfast provided was very good.
No kleenex in the room and the toilet paper was on the thin side. The linens on the bed were a bit loose fitting and we couldn't find the switch to turn on the bathroon fan.
The room had air conditioning (we had to turn it on ourselves). The room was spacious and looked nice. There was a kitchenette. Keurig coffee machine.
Sheets were probably 100% polyester. Innkeeper seemed like he had never done this before. I did not get a receipt! The breakfast was pathetic. Breakfast is served in the lounge, there are no dining tables. The coffee was served in white Styrofoam cups, which is why we chose to go elsewhere for breakfast.
Room was clean and comfortable. The shower was tricky to find hot water and the bathtub could have been cleaner. Overall it was just fine.
had a fridge, coffee pot and microwave. room was clean
the beds where hard no elevator windows where dirty and did not open halls where not lit well way over priced says breakfast was included there was none TV had 3 channels all news
Our room was really spacious and beautiful decorated. The beds were comfortable.
Our room had very little to no supplies... no tissues, half roll of toilet paper, only one k-cup for the machine, no sugar or creamers, no iron, no dvd player that they advertised and only two towels for the three of us. When we went to reception to get more supplies they were closed before 9 P.M. We had only just arrived at 8 P.M. Found the fridge dirty and the bathroom with dirty hand marks on the walls. Would not recommend this place for the money it cost. Poor to no service, not a very secure parking lot and mediocre room. 4 out of 10
The room was very clean, the bed was quite comfortable. I thought the building seemed quite interesting for a hotel. It looked like on old Bell Canada office building from the outside.
The WiFi was unreliable, the room was unfinished. Small rugs were laid down to cover up the unfinished conversion from ceramic tile to laminate flooring. They misunderstood my booking for 2 king rooms and only prepared for one king room.
The room was clean. The room was quite.
The coffee maker was dirty. The pipes shook the room when you flushed the toilet. The hallways have an odor. Not pleasant. There was a sign on the reception door saying there was no one there, and I had to make a long distance phone call to have someone tell me that there was someone at the desk. Had a problem finding the parking lot, and then had to haul our luggage to the front of the building.
The beds were comfortable The room was space well designed with the room divided in two with a wall between the two beds. Very comfortable
Elevator broken. Long way from parking to room dragging luggage to 2nd. floor. No hand soap first evening. Garbage pail under sink not empty when arriving. Was not emptied the next day either. Fridge was half off its platting, when pushing it back inn, the sidewall of the counter fell off. Missing floor boards covered by loose rugs. No bedside tables or lamps. Cheap quality soap and towels. Worst value for money I have experienced in more than 50 years. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate it minus 5.
Love the two-bedroom concept - each room had its own TV. Everything was very clean. Having a microwave and fridge was VERY handy!
There were no windows that opened in the room at all. The TV in one of the bedrooms wasn't hooked up and couldn't get it to work.
Loved how quiet it was until midnight Very spacious Perfect location to walk everywhere
The wedding guests who came in singing at the top of their lungs (not the hotel's fault) after midnight. Shame on people who think they have good voices and clearly show no respect for others.
Beds separated by a wall
Stairs, non-working TV, ear-wig in bed with me.
