shuttle to and from the airport was quick and courteous
5th floor was good, upgrade to suite, beautiful room.
Stay on 3rd floor was noisy, lots kids and families in hallways.
the checkin was fast and the staff friendly ..we reserved weeks ahead of time and usually get an updated room .... but not this time
very poor lighting in the bedroom area ...so bad you couldn' t read a book .. bathroom area was a large open area with very uneven flooring ..bathroom had a hand shower no shower curtain .. no bathtub ..the bed cover had a few holes in it and the carpet was stained...
Staff was pleasant and willing to help.
Rooms were run down. First room: shower only, bad flooring. Second room: tub but so shallow it was useless.
Not bad. But the long term parking should have plug ins. After all, it is Winnipeg and it is winter!! Plugs on a rotating 0n /off cycle would be adequate.
Loved the pool for the kids, it had a dinosaur theme & 4 water slides (3 were perfect size for our 3 year old). The water was warm & we loved the beach entry to the pool.
Winnipeg apparently has a 5.5% hotel tax that they charge on top of GST and PST. Bathroom was dirty. Room didn't get made up till late afternoon. The pool has so much chlorine in it, it bleached our swimsuits.
The pool area is ideal for young children. The pool isn't deep and the waterslides entertain for hours!
Restaurant manager was inappropriate and very rude. Free WiFi was very very slow and would not connect at times.
all was good
hot tub not working
Location, facilities, gym and wi fi
Place was great had a nice atmost.
The rooms are soundproof however the door is not. YOu could hear loud drunk people from a wedding yelling up and down the halls all night.
Ease of check in
Waiting for shuttle was long process in the morning
Got a good rate booking online.
Would have been nice to leave my car in the main parking lot, rather than put it in a compound, and pay parking fees. But I understand from a business/parking perspective.
the staff was great .... old hotel
hot water tank broke on a Sunday so no water till Monday night carpets can cause allergies if you are sensitive
I enjoyed the pool area. I also appreciated the friendly cooperation of the staff regarding the cold water for the shower.
I didn't like that we had no hot water for a shower in the morning. I also didn't like that my reservation wasn't on record. The food at the restaurant wasn't very good especially for the prices.
Although busy, the staff was friendly and helpful with our questions. The room was clean and very quiet (b'day party on one side, hockey group on other). The pool was great fun for all of us and for the price we paid we tam, great deal overall. Very pleased and will be voicing again.
Personal pet peeve- staff member at front counter grumbling about weekend shifts. There is a time and place for this grumbling. This is a personal annoyance and therefore not reflective of my overall satisfaction of our stay.
Room and facilities were good.
Finding a parking spot close to the building was sometimes a problem.
It was a nice hotel. Staff were friendly. The pool was nice and warm.
The room was extremely hot when we got there but we were able to cool it off.
Great value for money. I came on a business trip and the close proximity to the airport was ideal. I also enjoyed the fact that while it had a swimming pool (nice looking for the kids!) the whole hotel didn't have the overpowering smell of chlorine! Would stay here again for sure!
Great layout in the pool area. Good restaurant in facilty ( Chicago Joe )
really had nothing to complain about
Location was good and staff was very friendly, excellent pool staff lady. Room was quiet like I had asked for and clean.
The pool was shut down quite a few times due to overcrowded children letting things go in the water The beds were not comfortable enough for me.
The first guy at the front desk reception was so helpful. The really nice shuttlebus drivers - the weekend team of Bruce, Jon, Lei - welcoming and knowledgeable group of men. THANKs for picking me up and dropping me off!
Busy place with lots going on, which is expected of a conference/convention hotel with a family-friendly indoor water park, a shout-out to the staff who coped well with this crowd.
Pool is good if you have young kids, that's why we went here.
Our bathroom door was damaged, the fridge and coffee maker were in the bathroom, and the heater thingy is very loud and goes on and off all night.
