Score from 694 reviews Very good
Convenience, close to town, bathroom inside the room.
Check in time was inconvenience.
I stayed in this location before. It's a place where you can surely feel like home.
I have no complaints about the Victoria's Mansion. I couldn't remember if I booked a double-bed room or not; it'll be good to still show the picture when the booking is done. Thank you
They offer small single rooms at a good price.
I am always a little uneasy about the absence of onsite staff at night but have stayed several times with no problems.
comfortable room well equipped with kitchen utensils and microwave
room small ,but comfortable for short stay. area didn't have a lot to offer .a bit far from some things
Very small room with a tiny TV. It was sometimes difficult to connect with wi-fi.
Can't left luggage if you leave the town after4:45pm
Small and neat, well considerable room
The frige is not working
We liked the position of the guesthouse and its convenience for the shops and subway. The room was a little cramped but adequate and clean.
Absence of night staff or indeed any staff after 7pm and before 9am. This meant that access was a bit like Fort Knox. On occasion a visitor arrived and we knew we weren't supposed to allow access... We were told that we could buy more coffee for our machine, but we never saw anyone around to buy it from when we wanted it!
Location was fine, near downtown Toronto and near subway station. Also, a great supermarket is just five minutes away. Bed and bathroom were cleaned nicely every day.
The room is very small, the bathroom is bigger than the room for example. There was molt under the ridge of the refrigerator and though a coffee machine was available, you couldn't place it anywhere in the room to actually use it. Furthermore, there was NO airconditioning. Even in my room there was an instruction sheet that said I couldn't use the airco together with something else because it would overcharge the circuits in the old building, so I was pretty sure airco had to be there. However when I asked about it they said it was 'not there and probably removed last week'....very uncomfortable, even more so as the windows could not open and the building is so old so it gets very warm, smelly and musky... I had to turn on the air filter in the bathroom to get some fresh air into the room. The wifi reception is very slow at best. and wifi often not available at all. But the biggest problem is that the reception is only open from 11am to 7pm. After or before that time, there is no one there. You have to call a local number instead, which most often goes to voicemail and it's very expensive to call that number if you are a tourist. I had to call several times because I wanted to check out but I couldn't because there was no one there. Also, after 7pm they lock the front door and you can only get in with a code, but no one told me that and they didn't give me the code either! So there I was, late at night after a hard day's work, locked out of the guesthouse, trying to call a local number which went to voicemail. It was really a very unpleasant experience. Finally another guest arrived who did have the code so he could let us in. It was just so unprofessional. Sleeping is also hard because there are big gaps between the doors and the walls and the lights in the hallway are always on, which results into a lot of light in your room. As it is an old house, it can be quite noisy too.
It was in a fantastic location close to the gay village. The building is very pretty from the outside and is on a lovely street. The rooms are clean.
The staff were very unhelpful and pretty much ignored the customers, this level of customer service is not acceptable. The double room was very small and poorly decorated. The double bed and the pillows were uncomfortable.
too old carpets, smell very small bed
extremely clean and had character
Another guest damaged our car in car park and did not leave details but not the hotels fault.
The location. In a quiet street of Toronto !! The outside of the guest house was clean and tidy. Well kept garden.
Very small room. Could hear other guests through the walls. Furniture outdated.
There is onsite parking. Room was clean and organized
but parking seems a bit dangerous. but the room we stay in was slanted. The floor was uneven.
Nice hotel, very clean, good location, there's the car parking for 10$/day. This is really a good price in Toronto.
Reception didn't work 24/24 hours.
You get exactly what you expect with this guest house based on the pictures and price range. By no means is it a fancy five star hotel, but it's clean (ish. There were some hairs on the shelf in the bathroom and high up on the tile in the shower but otherwise, perfect. Room was made up every day with new towels.) and it's ridiculously convenient. You could not ask for a better location. Right off close to Yonge between Wellesley and Bloor subway stations. There's a Hasty Market right on the corner which is super convenient since there are fridges and microwaves in all the rooms so you can save a little on meals. The staff was super nice and let me leave my luggage at the front desk for a few hours after checking out. Speaking of the front desk, be mindful when booking that the front desk is only open certain hours - if you're arriving outside of those hours you have to make arrangements. They make this super clear when booking, but I ran into a couple checking in who hadn't paid attention and I had to help them contact management. So all in all, I would definitely stay again. If you're expecting something fancy, this may not be the place for you though - it's a little run down.. but again, for the price and location, you can't beat it. Keep in mind too that this is a three storey building with no elevator. If you're going to have a lot of luggage, ask for something on a lower level... because for serious... there are a lot of stairs to get up to the third floor.
Great value accommodation, nice to have microwave and fridge, friendly staff, very clean, great safe area of Toronto 5 minute walk to Yonge Street.
Microwave and fridge area a little cramped but still workable, otherwise all good.
Proximity to everything
The staff The doble room Was very confortable
The building and my room as lovely. The position was very convenient and near the main attractions
The hotel is centrally located and is convenient for us who stayed for business and some visit in downtown area. It is close to supermarkets, shopping areas and church!
We expect the bedsheets to be replaced at least once in two days.
Close to downtown, quiet, friendly and helpful staff.
Room was much too small.
The room was comfortable and very clean. The location was really good.
The girl working in the morning was unable to print my boarding pass and my airline receipt because they don't open any file (pdf or whatever) from a person who they don't know. Honestly I thing that was too much.
The hotel is in a lovely neighborhood with plenty of excellent restaurants and shopping nearby. It was also very convenient for walking to the Queen's Park area and is close to public transportation. The parking is convenient and the staff was very good about providing detailed information about my late arrival. The room was comfortable and clean.
The floor in room (on the third floor) was kinda slanted which was a bit bothersome. And the stairs are steep and narrow which is difficult with heavy luggage.
Everything in the roof room ,a Levels Place in toronto
No elevator ...the window should be possible to Open completely..some finde Day Create a Little breakfast area dowmstairs...
