Rooms very small
Parking way to much money
If you are interested in a good clean quiet room this hotel is wonderful Quick access to all points of interest Not the hustle and busle of a big hotel easy check in and out Definitely recommend to friends and family to stay at this hotel We will be back!
I was treated like royalty from the moment i arrived and throughout my stay. In town for TIFF, proximity to theatres and subways was excellent. VERY QUIET! The bed was extremely comfortable, and housekeepers were attentive. Toronto will be an annual visit, Hotel Victoria will be my home away from home! Well done!
Good location and ammenities. Nice and quiet with an ajoining restaurant for breakfaqst and lunch.
Parking out the front in the loading bay may be convenient but you also face the potential wrath of drivers who don't accept that you are allowed to park there. The valet is expensive but it is a better option than driving around looking for parking. I found the staff slightly patronising but helpfull nonetheless. The view was a brick wall but the location is what this hotel is all about - I walked to the university gardens and CN tower from there. Also a fairly direct drive to the airport and Niagara falls while still being in the city.
The hotel was in a great location, close to subway and many activities
I loved the location of this hotel and they had a great breakfast restaurant right on the premises which was very nice.
They didn't have enough towel holders in the bathroom or place to put your toiletries. The air conditioning was very loud.
Conveniently located in downtown Toronto, near to train station.
Room lighting could be improved.
Great location, room size adequate.
Rooms get a lot of noise from other rooms or people in corridor.
The staff paul gave me alot of info about the area since I had no car. He was the person who did not seem put out to talk to me.
Very small room. Not clean. rotting Windowsand looks like mold. Please Clean It!, I spilled tea on the floor came back in evening still there. View of the building next to you. Should be a one star hotel. Holiday inn is better and has free breakfast and pool. We had down time and notthing to do in hotel. Business area is small standup corner in lobby.
The single elevator is frustratingly slow. In addition, at busy checkout time (11am), the cleaning staff monopolize it, making waits unbearably long.
It was situated near railway station,CN Tower & waterfront.
Location was perfect even if road works were very noisy, staff was very kind.
Family rooms are on the traficated Yonge street so during the night it can be quite noisy. Matresses and pillows not very comfortable
Really big spacious room with nice big beds. Lots of towels in bathroom (4 types of sizes). Good iron, free wi - fi, nice staff
The door to bathroom hv big glass, which doesn't allow you to hv privacy. We used black bed cover which size fit to cover glass. The bathroom could be bigger. There was no hanger for eg.clothes.
Proximity to downtown Clean Quiet Staff very nice to deal with
Overall everything was good. However, the bed was quite squeeky. We had a queen delux bed.
Position Historical building
No safe Bed a little bit uncomfortable Air conditioning noisy
Modern hotel. Good location. Friendly staff. Has everything you need for a good stay.
The only things would be the air con was a bit loud and could not be turned off and there was only one lift and often had to wait for several minutes.
Although we had requested a quiet room, we were given one on the street - VERY loud.
Location, location, location. I arrived from the coach station; other friends arrived from Pearson (by taxi & bus) and we left from Union Station. All these - plus our sight seeing - were well located. Loved proximity to St Lawrence Market & the Old Town.
Very little public space (in lobby, for example), so that it felt a little cramped. The elevator was awful - especially for those with 7th & 8th floor rooms. You would not want to leave in a hurry. Quite a lot of street noise.
Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us !! Comfy, SPOTLESS rooms !!! Close to everywhere we wanted to go !!
Next to King station and across the street from a convenience store. Upgraded room, helpful and friendly staff, coffee maker and water in room, fridge, Apple TV that I didn't use, nicely sized bathroom with shower and tub.
Noise level from the AC and outside but it's a downtown so it's actually not that bad. The lights in the room are a little dim.
Excellent location, only a few meters walk from entry to the PATH or subway station. Plenty of food available in PATH and some retail shops too. Was only about a 5-10 minute walk to St Lawerence Market so really handy. Room was on 5th floor and was a decent size. Nowhere to hang the handtowel but I find this problem in most hotels so I suppose its not really a negative. The building is old and the rooms are old but have been modernized so look fresh and clean. Very comfortable bed. TV and a couple of powerpoints were initially not working but they sent someone up straight away to fix it.
We arrived at the hotel earlier than check in and man on reception was unfriendly. Did offer to take our phone number and call if room was ready early but I felt like we were creating a hardship for him. The rest of the stay we saw many different people on reception and there were varying degrees of friendliness. There is a really cool (loud) restaurant/bar a few doors away that was open very very late. Could be a problem if you a light sleeper. I wear earplugs nightly anyway so was no problem for myself and my husband said it didn't bother him
