We had free Wi-Fi. Room had been cleaned, however, not stocked up.
Where do I begin...elevators were not working before we arrived, however, staff did not seem to think it was necessary that we were informed of this detail, and then they proceeded to give us a room on the 7th floor and we had to use the stairs for the two days we were there; the ice machine was in the basement with the laundry facilities; the phone in our room was not working and we had to plug it in to charge it so that we could call the front desk (so we didn't have to use the stairs to get to the front desk) to make inquiries; at check in we were told that they were having a problem with their laundry contractor and were hoping to get us clean towels - maid arrived at our door later that evening to give us 2 hand towels (we only had 2 bath towels and no face towels); any amenities are off site so the price charged does not justify the services and facilities available; at check out when I reported all these deficiencies, all I was told was ""we're sorry", but an apology does absolutely nothing to rectify customer satisfaction. When I made the reservation online, they advertised a 10% discount if you were attending an event. When I showed my tickets for the event that evening, they would not honor the discount because I had not booked directly with them. By booking online, I thought I had booked through them, but apparently I was mistaken. I have stayed in many hotels, large and small, in big cities and in small towns, however, this had to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The staff did not offer any information and I had to make many inquiries to get simple information I should have been given at check in. I had read the reviews before making the reservation, however, I cannot understand any of the positive reviews that were given.
close to the ACC Centre.
when asked why are friends got the room for 101. we paid 125. the answer was basically. oh well , they booked with another company. not a very professional answer. parking sucked.
LOCATION AND PRICE
Liked the heritage of the building, and how beautifully done it was.
No parking that was really close by.
Netflix when the Apple TV worked
Staff was not very helpful and Apple TV was non functional for the first night , that was one of the reasons we picked this Hotel. All the staff had to do was provide a new Apple Tv receiver box the night it was not working but they did not do soo.
The Path and Subway are very convenient to this location, making it very convenient to the ACC.
Recommended parking lot was quite far away, we would have paid the extra for a valet service if they had it. That said, there are much closer parking lots near by, but they were not pointed out. While I slept like a rock, my husband didn't. If you don't like super soft mattresses, this is not the place for you.
I liked the size of the room. Travelling alone it is so much cozier in a compact room, that is big enough but not overly so.
There was nothing I didn't like. It is so convenient for coming in on the train so I can check in, leave my bag and either get a cab or use the subway to what has to be done.
Place was sufficient if you just plan to sleep there.
Staff were confused when I asked them to use my other credit card when checking in and out. After some dabbling they has no idea how to do it. So I left quite disgruntled. I would not stay here again, especially when they did not greet both times.
Fantastic location - easy to get to almost everything! Great bed too
The lift was broken for two days and we were on the 7th floor. Also noisy fan heater in the room meant it was often too warm or too cold
The staff we very nice and extremely helpful. Elevator was under repair but staff happily carried bags and made it tolerable. Location perfect with an inexpensive restaurant in house for breakfast and lunch. Nice restaurants nearby and close to shopping and underground Paths system and subway/streetcar. I felt safe.
The elevator was broken at the time but other than that I had all the basics.
The elevator was out of operation, it was being replaced and I had to walk up six flights of stairs.
We did not like much....not impressed
There was actually so much hair in our first room we had to ask for a new one. It was disgusting. There was hair all over the bed, inside the linens, towels, bath tub etc. When I called the front desk they did move us to a new room which of course was the right thing to do but even that room was not particularly clean but we were in a rush only in toronto for a one night stay and dealt with it ourselves. Very disappointing hotel - you're better off at a best western or spending the extra cash for a real hotel such as the Cambridge suites (but of a hidden gem in toronto that hotel is, be sure to ask for a city scape suite).
The window mounted heater was unbearably loud - had to turn it off all night.
Staff! They were immediately friendly and provided me with plenty of suggestions for things to do in the city. The room was incredibly gorgeous and I will likely return in the following month. It was also very accessible (I was not driving)
The elevator was not working, although I was climbing stairs to the fourth floor on every trip, truth is the staff's attitude and professionalism made up for it 10 fold.
The location is definitely prime especially if you got business or require to stay in this part of the DT. The free Wifi was excellent.
Room was very small with no view. Elevator was broken for the whole period of my stay. Last night a bunch of kids had a noisy party till 3 am. I would only recommend it for the location but nothing else.
Free Wi Fi, apple tv with free Netflix.
Beds were very comfortable.
No elevator had to walk up to the 4th floor. No Parking it was blocks away. The street is pretty loud and the windows are paper thin you can hear everything.
Staff were friendly and helpful
damaged (rotten) floor board right in front of bathroom what could have been dangerous.
Nice decor, good reading lamps with easy to access plugs, quiet
As a solo traveller it was fine but might be small for a couple. Shower had dark mould around door area.
Great location, price, staff.
Elevator wasn't working.
I love the decor on the room. I also loved the breakfast at over easy. Yummy everyday! I thought it was a bit of a distance from the tourist attractions. I would recommend this place or stay here again. The staff was very helpful.
I thought the hotel room was cute. The single could have been a little more spacious l.
Loved the boutique style of the hotel. We stayed in a nice room, enough for the both of us. It felt clean and comfortable. We enjoyed being close to the shops and other various attractions. Good value for money.
Very good location clean and friendly staff ideal for stay in toronto
could not get onto "free" wifi notice that elevator would be out of service was not highlighted
