It was very clean, quiet and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Nice location for spending time in Vancouver. Felt like a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel. They could improve their knowledge of restaurants in the area. Reliable suggestions are always welcome.

For its age, the Victorian Hotel would be one of the nicest hotel ever stayed

Love the staff. Very helpful and cheerful people esp Cecile and Brian. Love the decor and comfort level is high. Location is great. Breakfast menu is depressing. There should be a garbage bin in the room also.

Nice clean and central Room too hot and couldn't be cooled even with window open all the time. Room very noisy from outside traffic from open window. Rooms a little small and no lift so getting luggage upstairs was difficult

I love the character of the place, and the size (it's not too busy). There aer at least 3 washrooms per floor. The location is convenient, and the guests during my stay were quiet. If you have a lot of luggage, there's no elevator, but I knew that ahead of time.

Clean rooms, small but nice interior. Very friendly staff and great central location. Not noisy and we never had to wait for the shared bathroom, which was also cleaned properly. We would have liked some more choice in breakfast, it was really simple. And ventilation in the rooms is not enough so the room gets (in april) hot.

The character and history of the building, and it's convenient downtown location. It is also more reasonably priced than the big chain hotels and we were in the same area with lots to see and do for half the price!

Staff was super nice. They really took care of us and helped us with our difficulties during our two-week stay. WiFi performed really poorly during mornings and occasionally during daytime. Otherwise Wifi worked well.

The room was very charming and the hotel is very conveniently located to Gastown. I was able to dine and shop within walking distance. You have to pay to park your car if you do not want to worry about meters before 9am and after 10 pm.

I liked that it had "European Charm" and a mix of Victorian furniture with modern (updated bathroom / TV / lighting) features. The parking was a challenge. Limited and difficult to maneuver around eight-car lot. Part of the lot was being used for construction - the hotel did explain this; they new parking was difficult.

The hotel is well located for walking into Vancouver, 2 minutes from Gastown shops and restaurants. it is a nice old building with some character. It has been undergoing renovation...our room was spacious and well-appointed. next to a busy street with some noise in the late evening.

the hotel itself is very beautiful and very Victorian but seemed like it was in a state of repair, we were quite sure at first. But once we opened our door we were quite surprised at what we found. The room was beautiful, bright, clean, and very comfortable. we would definitely stay here again if we needed to be downtown Vancouver
