Noisy location Water running all night in toilet
Not far from subway, had excellent WIFI.
Located next to the night club and bar, so loud at night.
near the metro station
Noisy..shabby place...not similar what shown in picture.
Only thing we liked is the location
We can't say enough about it. We wanted to stay one more night in Montreal, so we ended up in hotel villa, bigges mistake ever. We were staying at intercontinental for the previous few nights, when we came to hotel villa, it was like a nightmare. The room looks like someone's not very welcoming house rather than a hotel. Poor facilities, we asked them for a hairdryer and they gave us one, but it was a European model, we couldn't plug it in, and that was the only one they had. I would never recommend this place.
The WIFI Worked
-tube television that had blurry screen - Mosquitos everywhere - Bed/dirty sheets - Foul smell -Shared bathroom - didn't sleep - stayed up all night - would not recommend
It says parking, but there is non It is dirty They catch you with a nice picture but rest is old It's not a hotel it is a backpacker
The location is amazing as far as the amenities around it. However it is surrounded by clubs that cater to a very young loud crowd. All three nights there were a group of bikers that converged opposite the hotel to compare bikes seemingly how loud they could be.
It's easier to list - the room was not clean upon arrival and was not tidied up until the late afternoon, one day they forgot to leave towels, they threw out items that were left on the desk and clearly there to be reused - the staff was rude the majority of the time. - when returning late in the evening the doors are locked and on the main enters de there is a buzzer clearly there for use in this occasion. When I used it and odiously woke the staff from sleep he stood on the opposite side of the door then pointed me to a side enterence like I was supposed to know it was there. The night before I went to enter while the staff was at the desk, I buzzed, he looked at me for awhile until I held up my room key (which is a key with a very large plastic key chain) after which he buzzed to door open.
appalling organization:within 10 minutes I was given 3 different rooms, one of which was already occupied. The bed of my room was not done, I slept all dressed, tap in the bathtub out of order, bedside lamp out of order, noisy people banging on doors in the corridor at 2 in the morning it was a real night mare.
There were bugs in the room. Very dirty. Next to a concert hall
I was not impressed with anything but the wifi. They did not change bed sheets they just made the bed. I found food in the bed from previous occupants. I had to also fix the toilet. I'll never stay there again
Hotel Villa was surprisingly nicer than we expected it to be. They have definitely renovated (there are some photos online that made me hesitant to stay here) but once there, it was great. The location couldn't have been any better - walking distance to just about everywhere and right around the corner from public transit. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was very simple - nothing fancy - but really was all that we were looking for - a clean and safe place to sleep and keep our stuff. So if you don't require a fancy room, this is perfect!
Rooms were cleaned every day, which was great, but on the last night, something very odd happened. Not sure who they outsource to clean the sheets for this place, but the new sheets that they put down were full of fruit flies. There were literally fruit flies all over the room. We knew they came from the sheets because when we pulled back the comforter, they were under there too, and there's no way that they would be able to get under there if they had just come in through the window (also, we never opened the window). Staff gave us new sheets, but we still had to spend a couple of hours killing fruit flies (we had to, or else we would not have been able to sleep). It was very odd - other than that everything was great. Kinda wish they just left our room alone for that last night.
Office clerk was friendly
Filthy disgusting didn't feel safe in our room. A/C wasn't working. Picture on booking don't match the hotel at all. Can hear everything, everyone in the hallway. Travelling with children or with lot of bags ? Don't go there, better book a motel. Even though the price was cheap, it's not even worth half this price.
1. Hotel staffs are from Middle East . Every time when we had to go to front desk, They make sexual joke . Like" do you want to stay with me?" We felt so uneasy. 2. we don't want housekeeping during our stay, so I went to front desk to get new towels but they said "no! Because you didn't want a housekeeping so you can't get them" 3. There were bedbugs in the room. We slept two nights and we asked two night refund and charge for the Medicean but, they refund just one night and didn't respond about others.
the person in the reception he is very obtrusive and the serves was very poor the room is not clean.
Only one good thing is a resteurant in the hotel
I'm very dissapointet about this hotel everyhing was very bad.Rooms are very small is nothing in,only bed and very old tv chanels only in french thesome in,bathroom very small and no axcesories room looks not celan ,saw a hairs verywhere in the bat h in the bed I got dirty towels I spend in the hotel 2 nights and nobody clean my room for this two days no change bed nothing....in the front desk is very bed to.I was not feel confortable in thos hotel I will never go back in ther.!!!!!
- Cheap - Friendly Staff - Helpful, kind staff - EXCELLENT LOCATION
- LOUD all day and night - Room not very clean - Bug bites after sleeping in bed - HOT (A/C was there but did nothing)
Half a window replaced by DIY wooden fan system, room nothing like the pictures. Very disappointing considering what I paid!
I liked the location, concierge honored my reservation despite being unable to run my credit card until I cleared with my bank that I was traveling internationally
Smallest room ever. Barely any room for a bed in there. Worst mattress I've ever slept on hands down. The bathroom was crawling with bugs. Too many strip clubs in vicinity of hotel
Location was good
small room, not clean,
The staff were helpful, the price was affordable, the location made getting around with public transportation very easy and economicly viable. The refrigerator in the room made some things easier for my travels. The bed was comfortable.
Parking on the street and the need to deal with panhandlers (even though they were polite and not really a problem) The bathrooms were across the hall - at least for the budget prices...
Breakfast cafe linked to hotel lobby, though I didn't have time to use it I had a good sized room
Situated on a noisy street - the night I was there had the unfortunate combination of a festival carrying on late at night and construction just across the road from the early hours. The thin windows did nothing to keep this noise out so sleep was difficult. Rooms and lobby need renovation No hairdryer in room Bed wasn't great Bathroom was especially decrepit Unnecessary $5 deposit on the room key
Room (standard double with bathroom) was very clean. Good price. Location is great but be aware that it is in a busy and noisy area so if you are a light sleeper, be warned. I would stay there again for the location, price and comfort.
sketch elevator - take the stairs going down. Small shower stall (but bathroom very clean).
Every time I returned to the hotel they were on me about what room I was in and how many guests I had. The door gets locked after a certain time (understandable with the homeless in the area), but at times people were not at the desk to let paying customer in when they were out late. Won't be staying here again. Not worth the money and how strict they are.
Cheap with excellent location for myself and my partner during the weekend of Heavy Montreal. We just needed a place to sleep, shower, and keep our things while visiting the city for the weekend. Very close to restaurants, shopping, bus stops and the metro. Having a fridge in the room was a plus. The shared bathroom wasn't as much of an annoyance as I thought it would be.
My friends couldn't visit past 9pm or some ridiculous time like that, even though we were just stopping by to grab some things an go again. Wish the room would have been a bit cleaner, but honestly at $70 a night, I wasn't expecting much.
The hotel is very well located in the most vibrant street of Montreal. The room was very cozy and comfortable.
Noisy at night.
