Clean room, friendly staff, close to a lot of things
Sketchy area, window to front lobby didn't lock, no body wash or soap
Nice hotel and good location, near the subway.
The staff was very friendly and very helpful, the room was very nice as well. Overall a great experience, and we would definitely return.
Wifi was unstable at times.
Clean bedroom and bathroom, Nice room atmosphère, well situated, well equiped
Wifi barely works. Very anoying when you need it to plan your day tour
Great tidy hotel with a cute clean secure room. Staff were very helpful and spoke reasonable English making inquires easy.
Doesn't have parking however a public parking building is close by for 12 dollars a day.
The location is great, within distance to beri uquam subway station, very easy to find. Close to lots of bars and restaurants. Its cheap but it's ok for just a few days on a budget.
Very bad wifi service. The cable was barely working. Only a few channels. The room was either very hot or very cold and the water gets all over the floor when we showered.
Good location and Clean room
It was horrible we couldn't use WiFi
close to the city big room
Surprising to find such a good bargain for the price. The desk persons at reception were very warm and friendly.
The cleanliness of the room was superb and very quiet and the location could not be better. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was one block from the bus station and central to everything including the subway, The value of this European style hotel was unbeatable.
My room was on the 3rd floor and the toilet and bathroom were on the 4th. There is NO elevator or lift, so be prepared.
Comfy room, attentive staff. All the basics are covered.
Sketchy Internet but for the price it was ok
If you can provide customers some slippers that would be great
The central location (30 seconds walk from Berri Uquam station) yet in a pretty quiet area. The cleanliness and the staff warm welcome. Rooms are nice, neat and fully furnished (AC, flat Tv with cable and mini fridge). Great value for the room rate !
Bed matresses are way too soft... Spent 2 nights with back and neck pains when i woke up in tbe morning. Wifi signal is almost inexistant at the last floor (not strong enough to surf).
The bed and pillows were so comfortable! We loved that we could park our car for the whole holiday and walk, cycle or Metro to where ever we wanted to go. The nearby IGA store was great for picking up muffins, juice etc and we really liked the unique shopping carts.
There were soooooo many homeless people all over Montreal. What's going on with the city that it has so many homeless??? I don't expect the people to be hidden but's what's going on that the begging is in your face.
Superb attention of front desk staff (Adriana, Elizabeth, Claudia and Renata): helpful and kind with newcomers. My wife and I thank all their support and tips for having a smooth arrival. You are doing great girls! Thank you.
Bussed in from airport and it was right behind the bus station. Staff were really friendly.
Wifi was a bit spotty on fourth floor.
The position, the staff very kind
The room was dirty and very poor, it gave the impression to be very old. There was no wardrobe. A lot of strange spots in the bathroom, on the bath tub. There were messages written on the floor in the bathroom from past clients. Wifi did not work in our room. I don't recommend to spend even one night in this hotel.
Great location. Right near Berri Uqam station which connects two subway lines. Nice places to eat out in the nearby Latin Quarter. The staff did their best to accommodate us and clearly wanted us to have a good experience at Hotel Visitel. Wifi was decent. Overall was good for the price, just don't expect four star quality if not paying for it!
Poor cleanliness. The first room we visited had rubbish left on the table and in the second room we found numerous hairs on the sheets. Also the sheets were not big enough to fully cover the edges of the mattress.
The location was excellent, the atmosphere charming, price point affordable, staff was kind and hospitable.
Wifi was inconsistent.
Great Hospitality Price Location Room Decoration
Lack of elevator
Nice hotel, the room was cosy and the staff really nice
This is my second time at the hotel Visitel, and I will definitely come back at this hotel at all times. The rooms are clean and very comfortable and the prices are really affordable compared to other hotels about the same quality. The staff is really kind and keen to help at all times, if you need anything they will try to do their best to help you. The Location is really convenient; the hotel is near the bus station where you can take the bus to the airport, the metro station is round the corner and you are in down town where everything takes place.
Great location, good installations and quiet at night to sleep.
the wifi should improve
Good location. One block away from the UQAM metro station that lets you take any of the four lines all over the city. Day pass for metro and buses were $10. Two blocks away from a bixi bike station which we used for a day for $7 to bike all over which was a great way to explore Montreal. Next to the gay village and the university but not too close so it was pretty quiet. The staff was wonderful helping us with things to do and where to go. Spoke great English. Overall, for the location and affordability, I would recommend this hotel.
Parking is not free. $12/day half a block away. Though you pretty much have to pay to keep your car parked anywhere in Montreal.Terrible Wi-Fi. Room was pretty small. They also stopped serving complimentary breakfast recently, which was not clear to us when we booked.
I enjoyed the clean facilities. Room smelled fresh and was cozy for two small people. Was there with my boyfriend he is 180 I am 150 and we fit on the double comfortably. The staff was friendly and helpful. We are from Toronto so she gave us some info on spots to check out. It was 5 mins. from major transit station.
Room very small with no real eating table and chair for guests- just for yourself. The stairs were killers-AND I am fit. Had to walk up and down the stairs on the 3rd floor since there is no elevators. Room is very hot until you plug out the fridge then it is comfy.
