Fantastic roomy apartment . Views all over the city.
Space on apartment, the view and location
Pink bathroom, a bit old fashioned
Good location, good building security, strong WiFi signal, very clean. The laundry was very handy. The kitchen was well equipped, the rooms large and well furnished. The office staff were pleasant and helpful. I would recommend Viva Suites to anyone and we would stay there again ourselves.
I liked everything about it.
The apartment is very good location. All is excellent. Staff is very friendly. Special Kristi Cetkovski Sales Coordinator. She give us big help. I will bring more customer come back staying this apartment. I love it. Stephen Chen
Location is great, the suites are spacious and clean, staff are very helpful and polite
Curtains in bedroom are dusty and dirty.
The views from the apartment were absolutely beautiful. Our apartment faced the city (towards Granville St) and would highly recommend an apartment facing in that direction. The apartment was very clean and the size was brilliant. The bedroom views were great and who can argue with three balconies. The wifi is very good.. great download speed, great if you intend to use it a lot. The shower was very good, incredibly powerful and the bathroom overall was top-notch. Comes with a car park space which is very useful. The location is great, yards away from Granville bridge and Granville st which connects to robson st which is a great place to be.
The sofa bed is not the most comfortable to sleep on. We weren't on a high floor (floor 9 out of 17) so ideally would have liked to be higher as we would have had better views. The lady at reception (not Kristi) needs a customer service course. Far from friendly. Apparently allergic to cologne.. I came to reception to checkout wearing very little and she proceeded to get up and open the door behind her telling me that she couldn't handle the smell of my cologne and then continued to hold her hand over her nose for the entirety of our conversation even holding it whilst she walked me to the lift and sent me upstairs. Not quite the goodbye I was expecting.
Good location close to restaurants and Granville Island. Easy to walk to sites, good secure off street parking, great views and very comfortable apartment.
Having arranged and confirmed that our apartment would have twin beds for our adult children aged 21 and 19, the second bedroom had a queen bed. There was the offer of a portable fold out single bed which was not suitable for 5 nights so we had to use the fold out sofa in the sitting room which was inconvenient.
This place offers maximum comfort at absolutely reasonable prices. Neat and clean with big rooms, two patios, windows all around, fireplace, wireless internet access plus wonderful staff and a perfect location with the city center in walking distance and direct access to various bus lines. All this made our stay in Vancouver a fabulous experience...
The weather was not that good. But I'm sure-if the management of Viva Suites could have done anything about it they certainly would have done everything to even provide 24/7 sunshine...
Roomy, floor heated, had washing machine which was user friendly ( essential when you have been travelling a while) kitchen was well supied with crockery, & cultery & essentials. Clean comfortable and wifi friendly. Enjoyed stay.
Gave feedback at check out that towel rack was loose when we arrived & sliding wardrobe doors were in bad need of WD40. Apart from minor maintenance, unit was brilliant.
We enjoyed the floor to ceiling windows, views, the extra space the suite provided, and the fireplace.
We didn't have any heat in the bedroom. The bathroom bathtub ceiling area is falling apart.
spacious room, nice view, good security, good location, excellent staff. would definitely stay here again.
it would've been nice to have salt and pepper in the room. also i wasn't informed about check-out when i checked in, but i could figure it out with the info book in the room.
two bathrooms were an asset for 5 women. it was five minutes from the water taxi to Granville Island and to the English Bay sea wall walk. 15 min walk to Canada Place. The view was beautiful and the fireplace and heated floors were so warm and cozy.
The suite was very clean, kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The bed was very comfortable. Glad we paid a little extra and got the suite with the balconies and fireplace. Location was easy access to water taxi, or a good walk over the bridge to get to Granville .Island. Granville Street was very close too, we walked it every night. It had many pubs and stores. Police were present, we always felt safe.
The dishwasher didn't clean the dishes, so we washed them by hand. Supplied laundry detergent would have been nice to have to wash a load. We were given a small bag of coffee for our 3 night stay, daily supply would have been nice. Water pressure in the bathroom sink was not very good. Other than these minor things, the suite was great and we would definately stay again!
A very spacious accommodation in the heart of the city. Well suited for short as well as long term rental. Probably 4 plus star rating.
TVs are small consisting huge size of accommodation
The stuff were really helpful and friendly. They prepared an extra bed and crib with bedding for us before we arrived. The two-bedroom suite is large enough for small kids to run around and it has very nice views. Although the furnishing is dated, the suite is very clean and comfortable. The construction work was better than expected, not much around the building and not very noisy. Overall, my family enjoyed the stay!
The garage door (when you go out, you need to hit a rope on the floor) was not sensitive and we had to drive over the rope more than 5 times to open the door. That's a bit annoying.
The room was nicely appointed and there was plenty of space.
We arrived after the office was closed but security met us promptly when we called and escorted us through parking, entry to the building, and our room's amenities. Security for the building, both people and the system for parking and entry, was excellent, and everything worked well! The view from our room was wonderful; it was worth a late arrival for the drama of seeing it first thing, all lit up at night. The kitchen was well equipped. We appreciated the welcome basket of goodies (and morning coffee and tea!), especially since our arrival was well after dinner hours. Viva Suites is located a couple of blocks from the seawall and it was great to get up early for a walk and a cup of coffee at nearby coffee shops. There is a close aquabus stop that takes you directly across False Creek to Granville Market. We shopped there for food to have at the hotel and went for lunch a couple of times. Many people walked across Granville Bridge, but we didn't tackle that. We rented a car, which made travel to local sites easy. Traffic was slow during rush hours, but everyone was in the same boat. Routes are direct and usually straightforward from the hotel. We were able to walk to Starbucks, a movie theater (Scotiabank), and a couple of upscale grocery stores, as well as a nearby quick mart and Subway restaurant. Even with a lot of windows, the blackout curtains in the bedroom and blinds in the rest of the apartment helped us sleep like rocks through the long hours of daylight in July.
It would have been nice to have a pool, but the workout room was great, though we didn't use it after all the walking. Downtown Vancouver is an odd mix of upscale and somewhat seedy blocks; no matter where you stay, I'm not sure that's avoidable, but we never felt anything other than a little conspicuous. The sofa bed wasn't particularly comfortable for our two teenagers and we never found proper bedding for it in the room, but I have to admit that I never asked, and if I had I'm sure it would have been promptly taken care of. We tend to be low-maintenance guests who are out all day, so it would have been nice to have more bedding in the room.
