The outside of the house is run down. The backyard (where the guest parking is) was full of old stuff/trash. The kitchen was a mess - not sure when the last health inspection was done. I think the family has fallen on hard times and is unable to keep up their property. It might be cheaper than others, but it's not worth it. Stay somewhere else!
Its a short walk to a very cute town and the breakfast was great.
The place is a bit stuffy/dusty and the downstairs you can smell the owner's cats.
breakfast was good
room and bathroom were not clean
That place s not in condition to operate, gathering information around i could realized that most of the customers after arrive just lose their money and go somewhere else..
The place stinks like pets pee, you can see their belonging and other personal stuff stack on visible places and owners attitude toward their customersbis not the best, every body in the neighborhood thnk they should retire and certainly they shouldnt be available through you guys, is a bad statement for booking.com...thanks..
The location was good, the house had character
It was smelly (must and also cigarettes, despite the no smoking signs), the beds were not that comfortable, and our hostess seemed really put out by the fact that she had guests to take care of. Comments, in a plaintive voice, like "no one told me what time they were coming for breakfast" following by sighs was just weird and off-putting. We actually left one day early, despite already having paid, because we couldn't imagine one more night and morning there. I don't know where the good reviews come from. Shelburne itself is a cute little town and worth a visit, but stay someplace else. Breakfast was pancakes (nearly burned the first morning) and no food gave much of a homey or local feel. Not worth the cheap price.
location, easy to find
very good breakfast
A large variety of choice for breakfast. Hosts are friendly!
Pet friendly and helpful, friendly staff. Retired nurse owns and runs business so she knows how to care for people. Queen bed was very comfy. Animal fur around some places but if you're an animal lover that doesn't bother you. We brought our dog so it was great. Great price for what you get. Of course, breakfast was fantastic with homemade bread and jams to boot.
Little walk to downtown but only 15-20 min.
I was pleased with the facilities , the breakfast was excellent, and I felt that I got more than my money's worth
