the room was a good size
there was not much to the pillows on the bed
Almost every sound from the neighboring room could be heard.
When another room took a shower. My bathroom pipes sounded like they were going to explode. Woke up at 6am because of this. No coffee pot in the rooms. No fan in bathroom. Fridge was off, had to turn it on and wait for it to get cold. No garbage can in kitchen. I could participate in neighboring room conversations wall are so thin
Reasonable location very basic breakfast included decent sized rooms no charges for extras (parking etc) helpful desk staff
Price seemed a little high for an aged motel, but hard to find anything cheaper in Halifax.
Door to an adjoining room shared
Staff very accommodating and helpful! Spacious room.
Friendly staff, complementary breakfast, convenient location, large room
Stove didn't work initially, no pots & pans in kitchen, leaky shower
Liked that we were just far enough out of city.
Price & location
Stayed here 4 nights, only had room service once, and had to ask for that. TV very small, hard to see. Rooms very noisy, can hear anyone staying close to you talking. Beds not comfortable, very few dishes & things in kitchenette. Won't stay here again.
The owners, staff were so nice, friendly and helpful in getting us around to the area sites. continental breakfast was basic, but good, rooms were clean
The motel needs a lot of work, floors in room slanted to the front so they may have a bit of structural problem..room had a definite odor when you entered, beds and pillows were very hard, uncomfortable.
Location and friendly staff.
The bed was too soft, woke each morning with an aching back. The unit was fitted with a kitchenette - the stove was old with some rusting. Door to the bath room of the cheapest kind and not well installed, no need for a lock because the door jammed in the door frame. Towels and face clothes quite thin almost to the point of being threadbare. Chair and table in the kitchenette were 1950's vintage, serviceable but for a motel that was supposedly upgraded, it still needs further investment to surpass the impression of "cheap".
Proximity to restaurants. Bed was clean and comfortable enough. I like the idea you had a kitchen for future reference.
TV too small.
Older motel but comfortable and clean.
Coffee was supposed to be available at 6 AM. When we checked out at 6:15 the office was still closed.
Old furniture. Smelling old
the room size was good and was clean.
The floor in the bathroom was slanted, felt like you were on a slide, this includes the bathtub
Convenient, friendly staff Was what we were expecting nothing fancy but clean. We would stay again was a great price!
I knew that I can not expect much for this money. But such a room that is even this money is not worth it. Worst of all is the venting of the water pipe. If the room neighbor used the water in our room it sounded like a sewer. Not to mention that one has really understood every word the neighbors, mind you in our space.
Price and location for where I need to be
Towels, small and worn out
Urin smell in room and washrooms, poor kitchenette, no coffeemaker, old smelly furniture, uncomfortable all together
The hotel was clean for the price you were paying and there was air conditioning in every room. Also, they are one of the few pet friendly hotels in Halifax.
The hotel is a bit far from the city center but that comes with the price. The hotel claimed to be pet friendly but did not notify us when they would be cleaning so they skipped the room on account of the dog. Likewise, our keycard kept deactivating and locking us out of the room.
not much , bed was somewhat comfortable.
the room was dirty, stiffelling hot and smoky although supposed to be a non smoking room, they had the air conditioner wired so you could not use it ( thanks ) as they did the window so it would not open, very clausterphobic . They said their ice machine was broken but doubt they had one at all. Parking lot in the rear very very tight, you'd never get a larger car or SUV / Truck parked back there. For 69.99 and Nova Scotia's ridiculously high 15 % tax on top of it I felt completely ripped. The chairs in the room filthy dirty. Kitchen certainly subpar. I last stayed in 1978, nothing has changed at all, an update is very obviously necessary.
Reasonable price and good location for me
I had requested a coffeemaker in room but there was nothing and office did not open til 7 for coffee in lobby. I needed to be gone by then
Very easy to find. Staff were very helpful with what they could fix (heat)
Room was really cold. Chair cushions were soiled. Very little hot water in shower.
,1. We were flooded out and had to move to another room. 2. When I was getting ready for a doctor's appointment, a fuse blew. 3. It had a kitchenette, but had nothing in it. I had to go to the dollar stove and buy a pot, silverware, glasses, dish cloths and dish towels which cost me $30.00. I was not impressed with the place at all.
Very clean; that is the most import
There was no coffee pot in the room. The room has been painted over - including tha bathroom tiles!, to make it look better; but it just looks uncared and grungy. The room should be at least twenty dollars less than the priced cost.
