very nice furnitured - great service (apart from the fact that no breakfast served at the hotel). lovely linen and clean spot.
room small - but very nice
Lovely hotel in good central location
I was disappointed that even after giving plenty of notice that I had booked 3 nights instead of 2, the hotel did not refund the price of one night.
Dark blinds, quiet room, cleanliness, location to Yonge St, Subway stn and Holland Orthopaedic Centre. Parking lot right next door. Liked the Fridge, kettle.
Bathroom was cool and took a while for radiator to warm it up.
I really liked the situation, in front of a metro station, not a long walk downtown. Not a lot of people to welcome you, but considering the price, it's understandable. We were very happy with our suite wich had two separate rooms, ideal for two couples. The bathroom separates the two rooms and it was ideal for us.
The beds werent the best but totally acceptable.
Good location to Panisonic Theater and shopping. We were able to walk to everything and the cost was reasonable.
Room was small and room was not ready when they said it would be. It was ready by 2pm, they said would be ready by noon.
Room on the first floor was very quiet, although at times could hear people next door talking. Bathroom was excellent-lots of space, hot water , towels. Tv was ok, although I didn't use it often. Desk was small but very adequate for me. Clothes rack good, but no drawers to unpack into. Good value for money paid.
1. Would have liked to watch CBC Newsworld, and less US stations 2. Toilet seat needed reattchment-asked for that but didn't get done. 3. Serious problem arose with the key card not opening the outside door and the room door. Had to call the contact number of the hotel- was told when weather was humid the key didn't always work-tried again and the door(s) opened. I was quite panicky when this happened in later evening.
• Right opposite the Wellesley TTC metro line station • Right next to Yonge Street (huge variety of restaurant and bar choices all the way to Downtown) • Didn't need to use the car once • Public parking right next door is easy ($2 per half-hour, capped at max. $14 during the day and max. $6 during the night => max. $20 per day).
• No staff present for anything • Nobody answers at the front desk or even the doorbell • Only staff member seen was at "check-in" (i.e. receive keys and done) and very demotivated • Hairdryer broken, ignored phone calls and written notes for a replacement • No more soap/shampoo supplied after first night • Bed is way too large for the room, and is not horizontal • Fridge is at an angle and can't be opened • TV is unviewable due to a very disrupted signal (even the local channels) • Walls are paper-thin, you can hear everything and vice versa. All in all a terrible hotel experience, even though they knew these were the last nights of our honeymoon...luckily this awesome city compensated a lot!
This was a great place to be close to the subway. It's diagonally across from the Inn and very convenient. There are also quite a few decent restaurants around and I really liked all the hanging space provided. The mint on the cushion was also a nice touch.
This Inn could use some TLC. The bought stickers on the bottom of the wine glasses, the rings on the curtain holders and the shelf in the bathroom which had been removed but the glue that held in place still there, could all have been quickly fixed. The harder things like the balustrade needing a dust and the pillows being so low are a bit more difficult to fix. The hardest thing of all to remedy was the bedside lamps which were much too high for mey wife to reach to turn on and off and she's 157cm, or 5'1 tall. There were noises from being an old house but they stopped when everyone settled down to sleep and the subway was a distant rumble though we were on the second floor. We also had trouble with opening the front door. You needed to have it in the correct position to open it.
The room is clean and warm, the furnitures are like classical, the price is extremely reasonalble.
everything is so good, I will still come to this place next time I come to Toronto!
Opp subway station Near pubs and restaurants Clean and comfy Great value
If on lower floor get the rumble of the subway
Good location and valuble price. The manager is helpful.
Location, price. Simple, clean. It was perfect for us.
No living-room space. The rooms are much too small for that ! Don't believe what is written on the booking.com website. Maybe you have one in the suite, but none of the rooms have one.
Convenient for local facilities. Good WiFi connection
The bed was somewhat lumpy!
Lovely décor, very clean, nice amenities and quiet central location.
The bed mattress was very hard and difficult to sleep on.
location, location, location. It was very quiet even though the house is right downtown.
There was a sour smell in the room. It may have been dampness or perhaps the carpet. I am not sure
the location was ideal, just across wellesley station. the staff who welcomed us was really nice, though we never saw her again after that, our room was cleaned everyday. wi-fi was ok, as well, patchy at times but tolerable.
one thing only, there was no elevator and we were staying at the fourth floor so, yeah it was quite tough after a long day of being out and about.
Very convenient to metro, church/wellesley village area
Room was small (but comfortable) A little pricey for the amenities
the bed is a little small for 2 persons
Location, location, location. Opposite subway, walk to Eaton Center.
You never see any staff. I phoned the front desk to arrange to store a bag for a few hours after checkout and was told to immediately bring it to the front desk...which doesn't exist. I waited by the front door for 10 minutes and then saw someone at the end of the corridor behind a curtain. The front desk is a 'cabin'...in the back yard... You either get subway noise or a very small room if you book a single.
The quilt is not comfortable.
very clean rooms and nice management
Good value for the price. Very clean.
Great location, loved the room, it was just perfect.
It appears the hotel has been nicely renovated in recent years but still maintains that traditional look which is wonderful. It is located very close to a subway station and has a restaurant/bar available right next door for convenience.
The walls are not well sound proofed as I was able to hear someone's telephone conversation with my door closed. Also, the shower curtain could be a bit longer to ensure water stays in the stall (minor detail). However, I believe the pros outweigh the cons for this hotel significantly.
