Paid wifi was a lot of money. Snacks and drinks in room were ridiculously high
Location and the room was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Staff was very friendly and supportive.....Location is great.
Airco did not function well. It was a bit warm but we still felt comfortable......
Very helpful staff.
No complaints at all
nice view from the room. we had bedroom plus a sort of living room that created a good feeling. Starbucks stuff in the room was a cherry on the pie
little actual space for clothes, shoes, etc., staff not really friendly and rather cold, elevators super slow
it is very bad the location of some of the rooms, we probably got...too small outdated...not good value for a WESTIN at all quite room but way too small e expensive for the offer....Westin Grand Vancouver never more...and dont take queen bed, beside the room small we slept very bad...regrets
Location is great The bed was great Staff was friendly but slow
Using the mens fitness bathroom was very bad On 2 occasions therewere street people and on 1 other a westin employee who went #2 and didnt wash his hands Also the steam room gets a D The elevators get a c
The staff were very helpful and extremely courteous and the room was of a generally high standard.
The hotel is situated near to some rather run down parts of Vancouver such as Chinatown.
that we had to leave
All the rooms are small suites, which means the bedroom is separate. This makes for a super quiet sleeping environment. The restaurant staff are excellent, especially Jesse.
I think it is preposterous to charge for wifi. The staff at the front desk will give you a passcode for one hour wifi, and you can get unlimited passcodes during your visit. SO, why not just release a passcode that works for the entire visit? As a business traveler, I need wifi and I refuse to pay for it. This is the only issue that might cause me to rethink my Vancouver hotel choice. I've stayed at the Westin Grand for every Vancouver trip in the past 3 years but they need to change their wifi policy or I will find a different hotel.
I booked a suite. It was a reasonably good size room and reasonably well appointed with cheap appliances and full floor-to-ceiling windows. The bed was okay, not great. The other furniture was unremarkable.
The hotel staff were not especially accomodating: at check in they kept trying to upsell me on a more expensive room. Some of the cheap fixtures in the room did not work right. I felt that this hotel was uninspired and rather dull. It might be okay for the overnight visit of a business traveller but not at all romantic or special.
Room was very nice, with nice view.
We were there for an athletic event, wanted to use pool and hot tub afterward but they were closed for special event. Hotel offered to drive us 35 minutes to a different site, not realistic. Event also played very loud dance music, could not take nap, even though we were on one of the top floors. Called front desk, said they would turn down the sound but they did not. Everything cost extra including WI - FI and Parking. Very expensive. Called to get car out of Valet, but they forgot to get it, almost missed our event.
Huge room. 'Heavenly bed'. Floor to ceiling windows. Helpful staff.
staff and location were excellent
Elevators are very slow.
Excellent facilities and excellent service. Very comfortable. Will stay here again
No free wifi, not acceptable at these prices. Overpriced hotel. The most unfriendly staff we have encountered in a month of travelling. Room not ready until well after 4 pm. Many excuses. Would not stay here again.
we had a beautiful deluxe corner suite on the 25th floor with the most incredible city views. Amazing!! Loved the big bathroom and especially that we had a great refrigerator delivered to our room at no charge and it kept all our food and drinks chilled to perfection. Also the snack plates at the Hidden Bar were reasonably priced and very nice.
Location was within walking distance to my office. Friendly staff.
Expected that the rooms would be nicer. I felt like I was sleeping in a shoe box with curtains. Would have appreciated a phone charger in the room. (ie: docking station alarm clock). Elevators were very slow.
courteous staff. Excellent accomodation. Rating 8.9
The view, the bed, the breakfast the room; it was all fantastic! Can't wait to be back!
Lounge closing at 11PM. No q-tips in the bathroom. Elevators get pretty busy during peak times. $15.00 for 24 hours of internet is a rip.
No free wifi in the rooms
Convenient, comfortable and very accommodating
Wifi did not work although I had a 'free' hour
Lovely front desk staff who attended to our requests for a corner room with a view and let us check in early as we had just arrived on a long haul flight from Australia. Room was lovely, bed super comfortable and views spectacular.
