The staff were friendly. The director of housekeeping answered our query very promptly. Our room was not cleaned properly when we arrived, they tried to unclog a drain and used something that caused a bad odour in our room. While we were offered a room to use while the smell was being dealt with, it was quite a inconvenience. The hotel needs some updates for certain rooms.

Confusion with deposit taken and card refund. Amount taken more than cost and refund a week away. This is a con.

The kitchenette in the room is very convenient for families with young children. The beds are very comfortable...even the sofa bed. The proximity to the ski lifts was very convenient. The pool and spa facilities were great. The valet driver almost hit us as he was speeding out of the underground parking lot, then proceeded to yell at us. My husband attended the front desk to have the matter settled in a mature manner. Fortunately it was resolved with an apology from the valet. The room cost was very high for the value of the very small studio suite, with absolutely no view. Prior to check-in the price of this unit was actually available at nearly half the price that I originally booked but the hotel would not honor any reduction, nor provide any enhancements such as a room upgrade, better view, reduced parking rate, etc. Whenever possible, we choose to stay at Westin hotels when we travel, however, overall I was somewhat dissatisfied with my experience at this hotel this time.

Great hosts, beautiful view from my room I cannot believe that no shampoo or conditioner is provided. For the amount of money we are spending, that is pretty ridiculous.

Very stylish rooms with friendly staff Specific to our room - furnace didn't work. Upon checkout I let them know about this, after confirming that the maintenance guy had been around. I guess being in the service industry as well, people who aim to please would ask what they need to do at that point - a note on the file doesn't make a relationship, customer satisfaction does.

i am a frequent visitor to whistler. this was my first time to westin in whistler. its location is excellent, its room well appointed so my best thing I liked was its location and the price break using booking.com. Would not stay there again if I had to pay full price. long walk to room. never used the bar or restaurant as neither looked interesting or had any atmosphere compared to the fairmont etc. the breakfast buffet was in a huge ugly room with only lots of tables and no atmosphere, no decorating, just the expensive buffet along a wall and tables-could have been in a gymnasium.

The efficiency as well as the friendly demeanor of the hotel staff. Checking in and out was a breeze. My group only had one small mishap which was more funny than anything. One of the pull-out beds had an open condom in it.

the suite was listed as "may" have a balcony. which was important to us. It was not provided until I asked again in person, after calling after the booking to request. Parking is overpriced. for the money, I think there are better places to stay in Whistler location and comfort

Location is perfect both for gondolas/ski school drop off and the village - nothing else is really what I would consider 5star or luxury it is pretty basic relative to my expectations - small rooms, late housekeeping, a shopping mall for a ground floor, they charge for all small things like ski storage/ washing machine use etc etc - it is really more like a quite nice apartment rental than proper 5 star hotels. Strangely, there are no casual dining options in the hotel - all pretend 'gourmet' food. I booked it because of the onsite creche for my youngest but used a babysitting service instead as the creche is expensive and just a sad room - not much time spent outdoors. Pool/spa much less nice than fairmont or four seasons and water very cold. Check in staff (or at least the girl who checked us in) extremely unhelpful - e.g. I asked a quick answer question and she referred me to the concierge......

The service was great! The room was very nice and comfy. There are lots of stores to look through and great options for food. There is something available for all budgets. Great variety. The cleaning service could have been a bit better but all in all it was pretty good.

Hotel provides shuttle service to different places in area, which was great! Large hotel - would find it difficult if having problems walking. Good for young families.

The room's space, the tv's high-resolution, the coffee, the outdoor spa. The location is great as well, right next to the lifts. The snow of course. I was kind of disappointed that kids were allowed in the spa/gym area. I love children, but having them running around the bathtub isn't really relaxing. Also, the gym could be a little more separate from the relaxation area, again a little annoying to hear stationary bikes and treadmills while you are trying to relax on the sofa.

I received a great special (50% off!) on a last minute booking a few days before. The location is fantastic! The fan (air conditioner?) in our room was quite loud. The noise was reduced with changing the temperature settings however.

Poor service, staff neither competent nor very friendly. "Spa" area is very small and doesn't deserve to be called a spa. It does not have a steam bath as stated under the hotel's anemnities. Since the Spa is in one room together with the gym it is not a very relaxing atmosphere. Everything from fast speed internet over car parking to snowboard / skiing equipment storage is subject to extra charges, which I s a total scam! E.G. for parking the hotel charges 35 can per day!
