Great location - close proximity to all necessary facilities - bus stop, Gondola, eateries, supermarket. Self contained with all necessary equipment. Secure place to store snow gear equipment Free local telephone calls
*not a lot of general information for visitors eg. bus timetable, cost of bus etc. * information about washing machines was incorrect eg. room information said $2.50 but when we got down to do washing it was $3 and only accepted $1 coins - and nowhere to get change for machines. *No help onsite (but only a phone call away) so not really a problem for us as we didn't need to call. No soap or toilet paper provided in bathrooms even though we had a complimentary bed sheet change as we were staying nearly 2 weeks.
The staff are very helpful. Location is very good.
The mattress are too soft specially the sofa bed. Can't sleep two. The carpets need wash , sticky.
- Wifi connection was poor,
The ambiance and the comfort. Location is ok. The toilet flash chain inside the water tank is loose though but we fix it with no charge. lots of pillows and towels.
Picking up the keys in another location and additional char he for cleaning and very early departure
the pools and the location to the lifts
the charge for parking when we found out that strata of the building had eliminated monitoring of the building and therefore charging for parking was a money grab. Having to bring the garbage down. If we are paying for cleaning that should be included
Close to eating places.
Having to get keys in the village.
you could tell the full $ right a way later on you added parking and cleaning
the hide a bed is very poor Matresse terrible
It wAs average not exceptional for the price
The hidden fees that they tell you after you book. Hotel was 155 online but once all the hidden fees were done it came to 280. Not worth it for one night. Not advertised clearly online. Inconvenience going to another location to check in.
Need acrylic wine glasses and tumblers to use in pool area.
leaving the place
you name it
I paid for my stay online and it stated on the bill that cleaning fee was included in the price and then when I got there I was billed another $119 supposedly for cleaning which is absurd since they require us to take out the garbage at the end of our stay . If im paying for cleaning which they double billed me , I should not have to take out trash. I told this to the guy at the front desk he did not care. If I had known I was going to get billed another $119 on top of the $260 already paid I would have booked in whistler village and it would have been much more convenient and breakfast would have been included.Another thing, the room we stayed in was very hot there was no air conditioning we were all very uncomfortable. Very disappointed with my expirience at lake placid lodge and I will not be staying or recommending this place to stay at.
this room / apartment had no air conditioning. If I had known this I never wanted this. When we arrived at Whistler our room temperature was probably 90 degrees & I believe we got to sleep at about 4 in the morning because the room was absolutely too hot.in addition. We arrived at 11:15 in the process of getting a hold of security and getting into the room took more than an hour. In addition the security gentleman could at one point not even find our keys. This was very, very frustrating
The room was spacious and clean. I appreciated all the dishes etc- everything we needed was supplied. The pool was clean as was the hot tub. Great having a BBQ on site.
The extra fees, like house keeping etc, were not included in the price online. I was expecting to pay what was quoted on the computer. I felt quite uncomfortable with the bickering between the "caretaker" of Lake Placid Lodge and the security guard checking me in after hours. My younger daughter was scared around them.
Location and suite layout
Quiet, modern apartments, clean and new amenities, comfortable hot tub, clean pool, functional bbq (outside the building), heavenly close to Gondola.
No room cleaning in any of the days; the cupboards were indeed stuffed with lots of towels, but no soap, no shampoo, no conditioner; we needed to buy garbage sacs.
Location was nice. We were very close to the Gondola.
Costs were not clear, nor was the check in location. Twin Peaks office check-in and location was in the fine print!!! If the cost was clearly advertised we would have not purchased this room. Very overpriced for what was provided!! Could have gotten a much better place nearby for a similar price, but I thought we were getting a better deal then we actually did... Very disappointed with our accommodations and will not recommend nor will we ever stay at Lake Placid Lodge again.
Great apartment, very clean and quite modern which we weren't expecting! Really big hot tub and good outdoor pool. Right next to the creekside gondola, couldn't ask for more!
Large number of signs about how to dispose of garbage through out the building!
Dated property. Needs updating
Microwave didn't work right. It destroyed heating pad. We were to be relocated to another apt for our third night because of odour problem in original apt. A pain for us so we only stayed for 2 nights and cancelled third night. Our substitute apt was not as nice as what we expected to get, as original booking apt had been renovated.
Location is perfect. Bedrooms are very good.
Hidden fees. The sofa in the living room is not for normal sleeping
Closeness to creek side. Ease of getting on the ski hill. The pool and hot tubs were hot and clean.
No parking for second car~told they will tow it, so park in the village 5 km away. this was unacceptable so we had to approach and beg from neighbouring hotels for a spot that they kindly agreed. Will stay elsewhere for this reason. Check in was hard to find and went to the wrong area at first. The staff was flippant and not mature in handling a request to even pay for another spot just for 1 night. Sounds of dogs barking in the evening from neighbouring suites. No manager to report this to other than the immature one. Parking is a BIG issue when you have two cars. Expensive as all Whistler is.
Large rooms Good kitchen and lounge room Blue ray player and Netflix
