The downsides to the facility were the cost of parking ($25 a day) and awkward parking arrangements (underground garage was down the street and difficult to find).
Some confusion, too about the two properties, ie Executive Inn Whistler and Mountainside Executive Inn which have similar names.
In addition, the door to the bathroom didn't open fully, it was blocked by the toilet -- so a person had to squeeze in between the sink and the door to access the toilet!
The room had a loft with a double bed. The bed itself was comfortable enough but unfortunately the A/C didn't work well in the loft area and air circulation up there was minimal.
The stairway from the main floor to the loft was quite narrow, curving and dark and lacked subdued safety lighting so accessing the downstairs bathroom at night required a flashlight if one wanted to avoid turning on overhead lights thus disturbing a sleeping partner.
In the center of Whistler village, the location of the Inn is very convenient to all the attractions and is a 2 minute walk to the base of the gondola and lifts to the top of the mountain.
Our group of 4 adults enjoyed having easy access to all the restaurants and shops in the village too.
With a fully equipped kitchen, we were able to bring our own groceries and prepare breakfasts and lunches in our room and splurge on going out for dinner in the evenings at tonier restaurants in the village.
