University of Toronto - New College Residence - Wilson Hall Residence

1. The staff were very courteous. 2. We were escorted to our room, thank you and briefly showed the washroom.

1. no parking lots around College 2. parking information was very vague 3. I received the parking brochure after I checked out to tell them of my parking ticket. 4. We arrived at 3:00 am after 4 hours travel. The office closes from 3:00 am to 4:00 pm. No notice of this on the website or phone greeting.

The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. The place was very clean & secure. The other guests were very pleasant. The private change rooms with the showers, complete with a bench & towel hook, are a nice touch. Nice place to stay.

needed it quieter - as am older person - mainly youth there at time hall is too noisy with doors slamming air conditioning not cool enough - prefer to be able to open a window but hey - it's a students' residence first - so thankful for what get

I liked the location of the residence..it made it easy to get to my other desitinations.

Uhhh--I forgot--it is a dorm room and there is a common washroom area. Why no internet availability?

For me this is a perfect spot to stay in the city. while it is a bit like urban camping because of shared washroom and kitchen, the location is perfect and the privacy of the room is also perfect.

Liked location and facilities. Most staff were friendly, helpful, co- operative, pleasant people. Only one person, a young blond haired alien female student working at check in/porter desk at Wilson Hall was obnoxious, snotty, abrasive, rude, unfriendly, unpleasant in her manners, and so full of herself it is a wonder her ego doesn't cause a body collapse from the weight on her shoulders.

Easy transport access. Situated in downtown. Friendly staff and pupils.

The Common rooms tv not working.

I was in Toronto for medical exams for 3 days and the location was perfect for a walk down College to the appointments. A streetcar would have been easier but the walk through the campus was interesting too.

I was surprised that the person I initially talked to about the reservation did not know about the parking on the Island on Spadina, literally a small walk away. I discover this myself from the U of T website. It cost me $60 for the week and it was well worth it. I am sure this must be a concern of other customers and I would make your staff aware of this option so they can inform future customers. The parking pass I got, was from the building that is in the middle of Spadina.

Remind me my student life:) great location, completely safe accommodation with lovely staff.

Location was excellent and value for money

When I stayed there were a number of summer camp and children's groups, meaning that the building got very noisy very early in the morning.

The location, environment, space and the facility worth the price. What's more, it is not that noisy as described before.

The temperature of the room is a little bit low and can't be adjusted.

It was closed to Chinatown along with the restaurants and the price was affordable.

No wireless internet, limited men's washrooms, inflexible check-in/check- out time.

Price was a bonus.

Of all the rooms, I was placed right by the elevator/stairwell/common room. No sink in the room. Internet didn't work the way I'd hope.

Great value very enjoyable. Bring your own towels though. I was there five days and really wished I had more than one. Location is great. Staff was friendly. No wifi so bring a laptop if you want to get online. I had an iTouch which was useless there. Otherwise a good experience. Would stay there again.

There is a laundry available and the location is pretty good.

The residence has shared bathrooms, and the breakfast is not good. The breakfast is not available at weekends and we could find cheaper and better options on the neiborhood. Also the free Internet is by cable, so it can not be used by devices that uses wifi only connection (like tablets).

Convenient, clean, very cheap. Exactly what I was looking for as accommodation for a conference without funding! It's perfect for what it is: I.E. excellent value/money ratio, but don't expect the Ritz.

Price and location

very practical location, friendly, clean, good value for money.

It was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Free Internet (surprisingly with access to some online university library resources), but you need to buy a lan cable worth $5 (or bring your own). It is also very safe, as the place is on campus, and you even need a key to operate the elevator. There are some fantastic places to eat in the neighbourhood (lots of Asian and Mexican restaurants and cosy cafes); there is also a coffee shop open from 6am to midnight and a 7-eleven just two blocks away from the accommodation on the intersection of College and Spadina. There is a self-service laundry room with washing machines and a dryer, which cost next to nothing to operate. I highly recommend this place to single visitors on a tight budget, especially to those coming for conferences/workshops at the university.

When I arrived to my room, it was not made up, but then they immediately gave me another room which was clean, so it was not a real issue. Just watch out, so you do not end up sleeping in a dirty bed.
