St. Regis Hotel  

Honestly the only positive thing about the St. Regis was the location to downtown and the bar scene.

My group of friends and I all agree this hotel online was very deceitful after actually staying in the facility. They allow homeless people to linger in the lobby and throughout the hotel, asking people for money by the ATM'S. The service at the 'Coffee Shop' was terrible. The amenities offered such as free shampoo packets etc. were very poor. The entire time we were there we felt threatened when it came to our security. We saw a drug deal outside of the main door, every time we left there were people whistling and hooting. Every person staying there looked like they had a drug problem or mental issue. We were even followed to our room by a man who was drunk and looked drugged up. Not until we checked out and asked about the other guests did the staff inform us that this facility was basically a half-way house for people seeking to utilize the free health care of canada. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and neither would anyone of Winnipeg who we talked to about it.

Cheap, clean and staff were lovely and helpful.

They tried to charge us cover to enter the hotel bar when it was empty... On a Monday night, so we drank somewhere else.

Location

Parking rea was a concern, but them having security staff made me feel more safe about parking my car there.

Inexpensive ok. Its not a five star hotel but I wasn't paying 5 star prices either. The room was clean the bedding was clean ...

The major drawback is the noise around the building both inside and out of the hotel. My room opened onto a back lane and drunks were yelling and stumbling around most of the night four floors below me. However, the hotel has little control over that. They do have control over the noise in the halls and Friday night was quite rowdy. They could use a better elevator as the current one is old and slow but again you get what you pay for.

The location was close to the venue I wanted and it was cheap.

It's cheap for a reason. I didn't feel safe when I stayed there, and I wouldn't do it again.

ロビーがホームレスの溜まり場とか化していた…。ビックリです。しかもなんか居着いてる感じがしたし、タバ- コも何本かもらいに集られた。治安は冬なのか分かりませんが、悪いですね。

Es imposible que haya algo de allí que guste xq todo es asqueroso.

No nos a gustado nada de nada, esta lleno de indios alcolizados , y encima entrando a la izquierda del lobby están las putas muy deprimentes bebiendo y fumando y el ambiente que hay es nefasto al igual que las instalaciones y la limpieza. Todo esta viejo roto y sucio, por no hablar de las camas que mas que camas eran hamacas xq el culo casi llegaba al piso, los colchones bien podrían tener 20 años. Resumiendo eviten ese lugar xq saldrán rabiando de ahí.

A vast majority of the other guest were rude, drunk, and sketchy. It made the hotel feel very unsafe.

it was cheap and near MTS center

It needs to be upgraded. it has not changed since last time I stayed there 8 years ago. It feels dirty and beds are not comfortable.

Location

I booked this hotel because of the location & the smoking rooms but I would never stay again because of the "run down" conditon of the hotel & the poor quality of the rooms

Excellent location; we appreciated the very patient night security guards that the hotel has hired; I hope the CentreVenture decides the invest some money to bring the hotel up to modern standards; their efforts to clean up the place would go much further.

It's very tired; it needs a face lift (new flooring; updated decor) & continue to clean up the clientele - I understand why the hotel is 'dry' - I don't want to have to question why the elevator carpet is wet in one corner; or have to encourage a drunk patron we really don't have cigarettes....

治安の悪さに少し驚きました。値段で選んでしまいましたが、もう宿泊するのは怖いです。

バスタブの水はけが悪かったです。

Cet hôtel est totalement sordide : apparence générale des espaces communs, chambre, clientèle, environnement immédiat. Le pire hôtel que j'aie fait depuis longtemps.
