The breakfast, the romantic garden setting, the room and bed, and the host!
Lovely, quiet location and easy to walk into Ganges. Breakfast was delicious and lots of interesting books to browse through
The food the people the esthetics
The bed was way too soft and the walks are thin
I've never been served such a good tasting and beautifully presented breakfast!
A treat to have a great gourmet breakfast, very fresh and delicious! Good location and most of all really comfy beds....had 2 wonderful sleeps!
Excellent location and breakfast.
Suites were comfortable and private. Breakfast was served at a reasonable time.
Don't like have housewares supplied and then be charged extra if they aren't washed and put away before leaving. Isn't cleaning up after your guests part of what we pay for?
Bed, food, location and price
Rooms very dated and carpet and behind furniture not clean
Excellent location, fantastic breakfasts, serenity garden with ample seating for meeting fun people! Thanks for the chocolates!
Bath mats of coir were a little wet and "mushy". Otherwise it was clean.
We stayed in one of the studios . Very relaxing . the bed was very comfortable . The breakfast was worth the price of the room . We have been bragging about our stay to all our friends .
Great breakfasts, loved the heated bathroom floor
clothes storage space would be tight for a longer stay.
The hosts were lovely and the breakfasts were delicious home cooked two course affairs which kept us going for most of the day. Location was convenient - a short walk to the town and Saturday markets and a 15 minute walk to the nearby Mistaken Identity winery. Highly recommend.
Breakfasts were excellent Beautiful garden & nice to sit in garden chairs Bed was comfortable
The cottage! We had expected something quite special for the price rather than an elongated room which was neither charmingly bohemian or shabby chic, just shabby: seemingly furnished from an eclectic mix of thrift shop furniture, it is in dire need of refurbishment. There were no really comfortable chairs, the carpet and Lino were on their last legs, the kitchen was very basic, the freezer compartment in the fridge iced up, a few stray cobwebs, drip stains under the sink and 2 wasp nests above the porch entryway etc The best I can say was that it met our basic needs but the price was far from basic!
Breakfast is excellent. Owners are excellent. Room is clean and accomodations are well kept. Brief walk (10 minutes) to get to Ganges "downtown" where the shops and harbour are.
Walls are a bit thin and you can hear conversations in other rooms.
Len's asking if we had any dietary restrictions and putting them in place for breakfast. Len taking the time to bring eye glasses left at table to where we were staying. Len allowing us to keep food in freezer till morning departure. As we arrived too early to check-in Len allowed us to pay our bill ahead of time and offered to let us leave our luggage if chose to do that.
Bev making the bed when we took possession of the room at 2pm. Bev curtly interrupting our breakfast conversation with fellow guests to announce she was leaving to catch a ferry. The #2 studio was scruffy with old and chipped furniture. There was dust under the hallway shelving which lined the entrance way. The toilet tank top was cracked and the toilet seat chipped. The gardens were overgrown on the pathways and the seating outside the studio was covered with leaves.
very comfortable beds & linen! friendly hosts
The food was amazing!! Len and Beverly are lovely.
I loved the breakfast! The afternoon tea that was being served looked amazing!
Great location, walking distance to town. Fabulous breakfasts. Would stay there again!
Beautiful Garden with patio to sit on to watch the hummingbirds and sparrows. First class breakfasts. Very handy for restaurants in Ganges. Areal pleasure to stay here.
Bed a little soft for my wife's back.
Everything was great. Breakfast exceptional.
After travelling for a month or so, would have loved to be able to do a load of washing. Was directed to a laundrette in town. I didn't have a car. However I have not stayed in many b/b so this may be the norm.
Visiting Len & Beverly at Wisteria is like visiting with friends at the cottage. They made it easy to feel relaxed and at home. We arrived late (~23:30), so Len just showed us directly to our room and deferred the registration process until the next morning. The breakfasts tasted better than I had imagined and I was expecting excellent given the online reviews. I also enjoyed the communal dinning experience and friendly conversation with other guests. I found Wisteria to be bike-friendly (e.g. towels were provided for cleaning up any grease tattoos and bikes were stored in a sheltered, easily accessible and out of view area). I also got a great night's sleep under the very comfortable linens that were provided. I won't stay anywhere else but Wisteria if I return to Ganges.
There were cats on the property that caused some slight discomfort for my friend who has a fairly sensitive allergy. However, they were not permitted or seen in the guest areas. I would have appreciated a power outlet next to the bed (there was only one accessible on one side of the bed). I couldn't use my cell phone as an alarm because I needed to charge it overnight at the opposite end of the room.
Excellent quite location with great food
Breakfast was amazing. Facility is great with lots of room for everyone. Bev and her husband were very kind and generous. Highly recommended!
Friendly, cooperative owner. Accessible library. Garden setting.
This was not a problem for us as my wife and I were the only guests the night we stayed. Bathrooms are shared and there may have been a wait if the place were full.
