Run by a lovely and informative couple, who pointed us in the right direction for dinner and also who cooked a fabulous breakfast. This was a nice treat for the weekend.
The staff is remarkable. The friendly atmosphere in this B&B invites you to come back again and again. Woodmont Guest House is a 'home' in Stratford to many who attend the Stratford Festival. The location is perfect, convenient to restaurants, shops and all Festival venues.
Rooms are small but furnished with flare and imagination.
Very nice and clean house. It is close to the railway station (10 minutes by walk), the Festival theater (5 minutes by walk) and the downtown (10 minutes by walk). David is very kind gentlemen. He drove us to Asia market to buy the food. Also the hostess prepared a very delicious breakfast for us with various foods and fruits. This is one of the best experiences during our trip in Canada. Thank you very much!
Neighborhood: quite lovely; well-located. Hosts: delightful - cultured, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. Rooms: very comfortable. En suite bath: compact but fully appointed; terrific shower! Breakfasts: WOW! Multiple choices, each one beautifully prepared. Truly excellent value for money!
No TV -- but, on mature consideration, this may be a 'plus' rather than a detriment. Could have used a few more hangers in the closet, but bet I'd have gotten them had I asked.
copious breakfast with a choice of hot dish. tea available even before breakfast. private bath with rain shower, very comfortable bed, beautifully decorated room.
I was asked to leave my car key at the front desk in case of the need to move it for other guests. I have never been asked that before and would have brought a second key to leave, keeping the master for myself, had I know ahead of time.
Food was excellent. We had dinner as well and the choice was great as well as the presentation.
Interesting and accommodating hosts, lovely comfortable room and fabulous home cooked breakfast. Fellow travelers were delightful. Will definitely stay here again.
Between Festival Theater and Avon, but a little walk from restaurants downtown, which might be inconvenient in poor weather or at night.
Very hospitable staff, accommodating to guests needs. A converted older home, with period piece costumes and photos around the house as conversation pieces. Very quiet at night, the neighborhood is busy during the day, as it is just off a main street leading to the town center.
We wished the proprietors had kept their large dog out of the dining area at breakfast. Although the dog is placid, it can be offputting to people who are afraid of, or don't like dogs.
Bed was very comfortable and temperature of the room was perfect. Quiet street and easy walk to everything. Breakfast was fanastic. Good choice and expertly prepared.
Easy walking distance to downtown and all theatre venues. Marvellous breakfast, comfortable bed, quiet room. Most gracious and knowledgeable hosts. Although somewhat tight, parking is available on site.
"Was surprised to find two big dogs but both were quiet and gentle, so not a problem really if you don't mind dogs.
Great location - pleasant walk into town and theatre Gentle, caring, attentive owners randi and david - provide suggestions for dining, also interesting to talk to Comfortable bed, very clean accommodations Best breakfast - 4 homemade choices which included eggs, plus randi's own homemade scones.
Loved the back garden and patio.
Wonderful friendly intelligent hosts Excellent breakfast Two lovely dogs Charming well appointed room Would look forward to returning someday
I missed not having a small desk in the room as space did not permit
Location, ambiance, hosts, comfort--we could not have found a better spot for our visit to the Stratford Festival
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Woodmont Guest House. It is very conveniently located near downtown Stratford and all of the festival theaters. The hosts, David and Randi, were exceptionally attentive and personable. The room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were wonderful. We give it our most enthusiastic recommendation.
Amazing guesthouse with really nice hosts, beautiful and individual rooms, great breakfast, good location
Great location, staff, food and minutes away from core walking or by car. Staff went out of their to accommodate us. Would return.
Could hear other guests talking but only thru bathroom wall. No TV or radio.
The people, the food and the dogs!
Polyester sheets were very hot making it difficult to sleep
Ambiance, friendly hosts and adorable dogs! Great location too, walking distance to everything we wanted to see.
Quiet, peaceful, welcoming. Owners make guests feel at ease from the very start. Restful and comfortable décor, with interesting theatre memorabilia. I was a grandmother travelling with 9-year-old granddaughter. We had the Garden Room, with windows opening onto the garden on two sides. Home-made breakfast was delicious, especially the blueberry scones. Randi and David gave us some good tips about things to do in Stratford, including a visit to an artist's studio (The Artist's Cottage on Brunswick Street), which proved most rewarding. We hope to return next year!
Good location, nice food, very pleasant hosts, great room!
Very good location, hosts were very nice, excellent breakfast
nothing in particular
The location was excellent for visiting the Stratford Festival. Breakfast was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nicely decorated.
Most of the areas were lovely but some could use up updating. A little pricey.
